Technology Planning. It is understood that the implementation of technological change is, in itself, a process as well as being a part of a process of continuous improvement. The technological changes will be introduced progressively over time, therefore the Company will discuss with the Union the planned introduction of technological change into the work place thirty (30) days prior to the implementation of such change. The discussions shall include the solicitation and consideration of recommendations of the Union as to the accomplishment of the planned changes. It is understood that cooperation between the Company and the Union is vital to the success of implementation. As part of these discussions, the Company will provide the Union with information concerning the nature of the technological change to include: 1. A description of the changes planned, 2. The planned effective date or dates of implementation, 3. The approximate number and classifications of employees likely to be affected by the change, 4. The effect that the change is likely to have on the terms, conditions and security of employment of the affected employees, 5. The number of jobs and job classifications to be corrected or abolished by the change, to the maximum extent that such information is then available, 6. The reasons for change and/or the goals and objectives that the change is intended to fulfill.

Technology Planning. Before and during Task 3.1.2 (Design/Setup of Back Office) and Task 3.2 (UIQ Integration and Configuration Assistance), Silver Spring and ComEd will engage in interactive technology planning sessions that will provide information about the Design/Setup and UIQ Integration Assistance tasks and educate key ComEd personnel on Silver Spring technology and practices. Sessions will be held via telephone conference call or web conferencing (e.g., WebEx). Sessions will begin upon execution of this SOW and be completed within three (3) months. These sessions are separate from and in addition to training sessions provided under Task 3.3.
Technology Planning. In or about the month of August each Contract Year, ACS shall initiate and engage in planning activities with Symetra aimed at identifying and memorializing in a written technology plan (each a “Technology Plan”) both short-term and long-range plans that tie into Symetra’s business goals and objectives. The short-term plan will include information technology budget development for the next fiscal year including, consistent with the requirements of Section 2.5.2, expectations regarding Equipment Refresh and Software Enhancements during the next Contract Year and a projected time schedule for procuring the necessary software, hardware and services and implementing the proposed changes. The long-range plan will include strategic and flexible use of information technology systems in light of Symetra’s business goals, current mission, objectives, priorities and strategies. During the August planning activities described above, the Parties jointly shall work on developing the Technology Plan, and on or before September 1 of each Contract Year, ACS shall submit a final version of the Technology Plan to Symetra (each a “September Technology Plan”). In addition, in or about the month of February each Contract Year, ACS shall initiate and engage in planning activities with Symetra aimed at identifying and memorializing any appropriate updates to the then-current September Technology Plan. During such February planning activities, the Parties jointly shall work on developing updates to the then-current September Technology Plan, and on or before March 1 of each Contract Year, ACS shall submit a final version of the updated draft of the then-current September Technology Plan to Symetra.
Technology Planning. The Parties will engage in interactive technology planning sessions to jointly review and confirm the contents of the DA Questionnaire, and to confirm the requirements of the GridScape deployment. Material changes after the Parties have agreed to the responses to the DA Questionnaire may require a change order at additional cost to ComEd.

The OMO reports and meets periodically with the appropriate UC personnel to discuss and evaluate new technology for applicability to the system. The OMO is present during system/equipment testing or product reviews at the designated user facility and facilitates the test plan (if requested), check off procedures and the sign off documents. An important initial consideration in enhancing the management of an existing wireless network is the condition, design, and operations of the current wireless equipment. The OMO will work closely with users to evaluate the current state of operations and equipment capabilities and recommend changes to the UC, as necessary, for improved management and operations of the system. The OMO, working with the UC, will assess the goals and objectives of the system, from time to time, to identify the role radio communications play in achieving the desired system operational objectives. Some of the activities that will be involved in the strategic technology planning process include, but are not limited to: • Reviewing currently available wireless technologies in the industry and evaluating their applicability to system functional, technical, and agency requirements • Evaluating changing technical and applicable user mission requirements to recommend how the system can be used more effectively • Developing a plan, in cooperation with the User Council, for the necessary modification of hardware/software of the existing wireless system equipment

Technology Planning. (a) Each party will designate an equal number of individuals to serve on a subcommittee of the Steering Committee (the “Technology Subcommittee”) to review and assess the performance of [***] TS2, other components of the TSYS System, and [***] and to develop plans for enhancing [***] TS2, other components of the TSYS System, [***], and the Services over time. Such plans may include: (i) the identification of new developments and enhancements to improve the quality of [***] TS2; (ii) a description of the types and volumes of personnel skills and abilities needed to respond to any recommended changes or upgrades in technology and to changes, increases and decreases in Capital One’s demand; (iii) general plans for improving Service Level performance through improvements in [***] TS2, other components of the TSYS System, and [***]; and (iv) a general plan and a projected time schedule for developing and achieving the recommended elements in accordance with the Development Methodology. (b) The Technology Subcommittee shall meet on a [***] basis or more frequently if recommended by the Steering Committee to support Capital One’s business planning cycles or to address changes in the business of Capital One that materially impact [***] TS2, [***], and other information technology systems.

(“NPSI”) and its subsidiaries, through the identification of new products and technologies to be investigated for possible deployment in the NPTC, PTI or Pinnatech networks, and communicate strategic goals to the planning staff of each of NPSI’s subsidiaries. Serve as Vice President – Operations of NPSI.
Technology Planning. Each Contract Year, Provider shall prepare a plan, subject to approval by Investors, (the “Technology Plan”) in accordance with the following procedures: (a) The Technology Plan will be composed of short-term and long-range plans, which tie into business goals. The long-range plan will include strategic and flexible use of information technology systems in light of Investors’ anticipated business goals, current mission, objectives and its priorities and strategies. The short-term plan will include information technology budget development for the next fiscal year and an identification of proposed software and hardware, as appropriate, for which technology refresh may be needed in the next Contract Year, and a projected time schedule for obtaining the necessary software, hardware and services and implementing the proposed changes. Provider will on a regular basis and prior to the preparation of each annual Technology Plan (i) identify Provider and non-Provider products and technology services that may benefit Investors and support the mission, goals and objectives of Investors, (ii) identify Provider or Investors resources required to complete the long-range and short-term plans and (iii) upon request of Investors investigate the requirements, costs and benefits of new technology. (b) Investors and Provider will prepare the initial draft of the first Technology Plan based on the Agreement. Provider will provide input and information regarding industry trends in production capabilities and pricing, and information regarding the implementation of proposed hardware and software changes. The first Technology Plan will then be amended and updated each Contract Year, and will, upon approval by Investors, establish the mutual agreement by the Parties as to the strategic approach to Provider’s conduct and implementation of the Technology Plan. (c) The first Technology Plan under this Agreement will be completed on or before one hundred and eight (180) calendar days into the Agreement and annually during the Term. (d) Notwithstanding the development of the Technology Plan on an annual basis, Provider shall also have a regular and ongoing responsibility during each Contract Year to provide Investors with information regarding any newly improved or enhanced commercially available information technology, including equipment and improved processes, that could reasonably be expected to have a positive impact in terms of increased efficiency, increased quality, or reduced...
Technology Planning. Supplier shall participate, at Company’s request, in Company’s annual financial, operational and technology planning process, as further set forth in Exhibit 8 (Technical Architecture and Product Standards). Such technology planning process shall include (1) the identification of the least cost/highest benefit methods to implement technology changes and improvements in architecture, platforms, processes and methodologies, and (2) the creation of a comprehensive, integrated, technology refresh and total lifecycle management plan for each Tower, platform, Software type, Equipment type and technology, on each of a one-year, three-year and five-year planning horizon (“Technology Refresh Plan”), which plan shall meet the minimum requirements specified in Exhibit 8 (Technical Architecture and Product Standards). In addition, such plan shall address any technology requirements associated with any expansion of or changes in Company Service Locations and/or facility requirements of Company.
