Training and Mentoring. ‌ A. The District will provide training for all new employees and for employees new to a job classification on the systems, roles, expectations and responsibilities necessary for the primary job functions of the employee’s position, including any expectations and responsibilities unique to special education or learning support positions. Such training will begin prior to the employee assuming duties and may vary depending on the experience level of the employee or the complexity of the job functions. In addition, the District will continue to provide annual training for Bus Drivers for requirements unique to their position. B. In addition to the District-provided training noted above, each school and the Transportation Department shall designate a mentor for classified employees new to the District or new to a job classification. The Administration Building allocation will be used for mentoring employees assigned to the Administration Building and for any building that needs more training funds. Mentoring shall be supported with the following budgeted allocations: Each Elementary School $2,000 Middle School $2,500 High School $3,000 Transportation Department $2,000 Administration Building $2,500 Each school and the Transportation Department shall design a mentoring plan that includes flexible support and assistance for an employee’s first year in a position depending on the experience level and need of the new employee. Employees who are new to the District or new to a job classification may have different needs for support. The allocation may be used for release time for the mentor and/or mentee, or for additional paid time for the mentor and/or mentee. Mentoring plans that include additional paid time outside the regularly-scheduled workday must include pre-approval from a building administrator for any time to be paid at overtime or other premium rates. Time worked outside the mentor’s or xxxxxx’s regular schedule will be time carded. At a minimum, a monthly meeting should be scheduled by the mentor and mentee to ensure time is designated for mentoring support. Mentoring activities may include, but are not limited to, building- or department-level orientation activities, job shadowing, meetings during or outside the regularly-scheduled workday. Training and Mentoring. The Service Provider shall provide training and mentoring to the Employer’s staff. Training will generally relate to aspects of works assignments (e.g. the design and analysis of waste management infrastructure, etc.) which originates from this Framework Contract only. The Employer will provide the Service Provider with topics for training as the need arises. The Service Provider must allocate adequate resources to the project team to develop and present the training. Training can be of a basic or advanced nature depending on the need from the Employer’s staff. The Service Provider must make provision for the relevant mentorship of the Employer’s personnel. The Service Provider shall make available relevant professionally registered personnel with a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience to take the role of mentor and supervisor to ensure fulfilment of the relevant Professional registration body’s requirements. The Mentor will need to assess the skills and level of knowledge of the individual in the relevant field and assist the individual to identify training and/or experience needs in order to obtain registration from the relevant Professional registration body. Mentorship meetings should be held at three month intervals and progress should be discussed and measured. The Mentor should approve and sign all reports compiled by the individual. As part of the Works Assignment Brief, the Employer will provide the training and/or mentoring requirements, which can be further discussed and agreed to in the Works Assignment Briefing session. The Service Provider shall then include the training and/or mentoring in the Works Assignment Proposal. Training and/or mentoring will take place at the offices of the Employer or at the offices of the Service Provider. Payment for travelling will be made at the appropriate rate in C2.2 Schedule of Rates. Online (Skype/Teams) meetings will be allowed for mentoring purposes by prior agreement with the Employer.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.

  • Training and Promotion a. The contractor will assist in locating, qualifying, and increasing the skills of minorities and women who are applicants for employment or current employees. Such efforts should be aimed at developing full journey level status employees in the type of trade or job classification involved. b. Consistent with the contractor's work force requirements and as permissible under Federal and State regulations, the contractor shall make full use of training programs, i.e., apprenticeship, and on-the-job training programs for the geographical area of contract performance. In the event a special provision for training is provided under this contract, this subparagraph will be superseded as indicated in the special provision. The contracting agency may reserve training positions for persons who receive welfare assistance in accordance with 23 U.S.C. 140(a). c. The contractor will advise employees and applicants for employment of available training programs and entrance requirements for each. d. The contractor will periodically review the training and promotion potential of employees who are minorities and women and will encourage eligible employees to apply for such training and promotion.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Quality Management System Supplier hereby undertakes, warrants and confirms, and will ensue same for its subcontractors, to remain certified in accordance with ISO 9001 standard or equivalent. At any time during the term of this Agreement, the Supplier shall, if so instructed by ISR, provide evidence of such certifications. In any event, Supplier must notify ISR, in writing, in the event said certification is suspended and/or canceled and/or not continued.

  • Quality Assurance The parties endorse the underlying principles of the Company’s Quality Management System, which seeks to ensure that its services are provided in a manner which best conforms to the requirements of the contract with its customer. This requires the Company to establish and maintain, implement, train and continuously improve its procedures and processes, and the employees to follow the procedures, document their compliance and participate in the improvement process. In particular, this will require employees to regularly and reliably fill out documentation and checklists to signify that work has been carried out in accordance with the customer’s specific requirements. Where necessary, training will be provided in these activities.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Training and Support Licensor shall offer installation support to the Licensee and each of the Members, including assisting with the implementation of any Licensor software. Licensor will provide appropriate training to Licensee and Member staff relating to the use of the Licensed Materials and any Licensor software. Licensor will offer reasonable levels of continuing support to assist Licensee and Members in use of the Licensed Materials, including providing help files and other appropriate user documentation in connection with the use of and access to Licensed Materials. Licensor will, at a minimum, make its personnel available by email, telephone or via the Web, or in person during Licensor’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday, for training and user access support.

  • Training and Development 3.1 Authorities will develop local 'Workforce Development Plans (see Part 4.8),' closely linked to their service delivery plans, which will provide the focus for the establishment of training and development priorities. Training and development should be designed to meet the corporate and service needs of authorities both current and in the future, taking into account the individual needs of employees. Local schemes on training and development should enable authorities to attain their strategic objectives through development of their employees. Training and development provisions should be shaped to local requirements and take account of the full range of learning methods. Such an approach should enable access to learning for all employees. The needs of part time employees and shift workers need particular consideration. 3.2 Employees attending or undertaking required training are entitled to payment of normal earnings; all prescribed fees and other relevant expenses arising. Employees are also entitled to paid leave for the purpose of sitting for required examinations. When attending training courses outside contracted daily hours, part-time employees should be paid on the same basis as full- time employees. (Assistance for other forms of learning, for example that directed at individual development, will be locally determined). Some training can be very expensive and authorities may require repayment of all or part of the costs incurred should an employee leave the authority before a reasonable time period has expired. The authority's policy in this regard should be made explicit. 3.3 Objectives for training and development programmes should include the following: • To enable Councils to attain their strategic objectives via investment in their employees. • To promote equity of access to learning. • To encourage employees to develop their skills and level of responsibility to the maximum of their individual potential. • To widen and modernise the skills profile of employees to maximise their versatility, employability and so, job security. • To enable employees to raise productivity, quality and customer service in pursuit of sustainable improvement 3.4 Authorities should establish local partnership arrangements, to include recognised trade unions, to develop their local workforce development plans. 3.5 The NJC endorses partnership provision such as the "Return to Learn" scheme. Authorities and the recognised trade unions shall encourage and support employees taking on the statutory Union Learning Representative (ULR) role. This will include agreeing facilities and paid release in accordance with statutory provisions. ULRs should be enabled to play a full part in promoting and implementing local training and development programmes.

  • Quality Management Grantee will: 1. comply with quality management requirements as directed by the System Agency. 2. develop and implement a Quality Management Plan (QMP) that conforms with 25 TAC § 448.504 and make the QMP available to System Agency upon request. The QMP must be developed no later than the end of the first quarter of the Contract term. 3. update and revise the QMP each biennium or sooner, if necessary. Xxxxxxx’s governing body will review and approve the initial QMP, within the first quarter of the Contract term, and each updated and revised QMP thereafter. The QMP must describe Xxxxxxx’s methods to measure, assess, and improve - i. Implementation of evidence-based practices, programs and research-based approaches to service delivery; ii. Client/participant satisfaction with the services provided by Xxxxxxx; iii. Service capacity and access to services; iv. Client/participant continuum of care; and v. Accuracy of data reported to the state. 4. participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities as defined and scheduled by the state including, but not limited to data verification, performing self-reviews; submitting self-review results and supporting documentation for the state’s desk reviews; and participating in the state’s onsite or desk reviews. 5. submit plan of improvement or corrective action plan and supporting documentation as requested by System Agency. 6. participate in and actively pursue CQI activities that support performance and outcomes improvement. 7. respond to consultation recommendations by System Agency, which may include, but are not limited to the following: i. Staff training; ii. Self-monitoring activities guided by System Agency, including use of quality management tools to self-identify compliance issues; and iii. Monitoring of performance reports in the System Agency electronic clinical management system.
