UNION SHOP AND DUES. (a) All present employees who are members of the Local Union on the effective date of this Subsection or on the date of execution of this Agreement, whichever is the later, shall remain members of the Local Union in good standing as a condition of employment. In order to assist the Local Unions in maintaining current and accu- rate membership records, the Employer will furnish the appropri- ate Local Union a list of new employees. The Employer agrees to notify the Local Union when a new employee attains seniority. This notification will be made in conjunction with the new em- ployee listing. The list will include the name, address, social secu- rity number, date of hire, hub or center to which assigned, shift, and classification or position hired into. The Employer shall also notify the Local Union when the employee is promoted from part- time to full-time. The list will be provided on a monthly basis. All present employees who are not members of the Local Union and all employees who are hired hereafter, shall become and remain members in good standing of the Local Union as a condition of employment on and after the thirty-first (31st) day following the beginning of their employment, or on and after the thirty-first (31st) day following the effective date of this subsection, or the date of this Agreement, whichever is the later. An employee who has failed to acquire, or thereafter maintain, membership in the Union, as herein provided, shall be terminated seventy-two (72) hours after the Employer has received written notice from an au- thorized representative of the Local Union, certifying that mem- bership has been, and is continuing to be offered to such employ- ees on the same basis as all other members, and further that the employee has had notice and opportunity to make all dues or initi- ation fee payments. This provision shall be made and become ef- fective as of such time as it may be made and become effective under the provision of the National Labor Relations Act, but not retroactively.
(b) No provision of Section 2(a) of this Article shall apply to the extent that it may be prohibited by state law. In those states where subsection (a) above may not be validly applied, the Employer agrees to recommend to all new employees that they become mem- bers of the Union and maintain such membership during the life of this Agreement.

UNION SHOP AND DUES. (a) All new employees shall be probationary or temporary employ- ees until they have acquired seniority status to which time they may be summarily dismissed by the Company without challenge, but the Union may represent such temporary or probationary employees in the handling of grievances other than those relating to dismissal.
(b) Employees who are not now members of the Union, and in addi- tion, all persons who shall become employees covered by this Agree- ment, subsequent to the effective date of this Agreement, when admit- xxx to membership in the Union shall be admitted without discrimina- tion and on fair and reasonable terms and conditions, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and By-laws of the Union.
(c) All present employees who are members of the Union shall, as a condition of continued employment, maintain their membership in the Union during the life of this Agreement and all new employ- ees shall, as a condition of continued employment, join the Union upon acquiring seniority status provided in Article 13 of this Agreement (but in no event earlier than 40 days from the date of their employment, or 40 days from the effective date of this Agreement, or the date this Agreement is executed, whichever is the later), and shall maintain their membership in the Union during the life of this Agreement.
(d) Employer shall submit, with each dues remittance, a report, by center, listing all seniority employees alphabetically and the amount of dues if any, deducted for each employee. The Secretary- Treasurer of the Union shall be notified monthly when an employ- ee acquires seniority. The Company will notify the Shop Xxxxxxx within five (5) days after a new employee attains seniority.
UNION SHOP AND DUES. See National Master Freight Agreement, Article 3. The Employer shall check off dues the 1st pay day of the month and remit same to the Local Union by no later than the 15th of the month.
UNION SHOP AND DUES. The Employer agrees to deduct one (1) month’s dues from all seasonal employees and vacation replacements for each month worked, or portion thereof. These deductions will be remit- xxx to the Local Union with the regular monthly checkoffs.
UNION SHOP AND DUES. The Company recognizes the Union as the exclusive bargaining agent for a unit of employees of the Company, comprising employees classified as Maintenance and Maintenance employees, Janitors, Toll Collectors, Scalemen, Traffic Guards and excluding Company Officials, Superintendents, Supervisory Employees (those having the right to hire, promote, discharge, discipline or otherwise effect the change in status of employees or effectively recommend such action) and Office Employees, who shall not be covered by this Agreement. For the purpose of clarification it is understood that part-time employees who have completed their probationary period are included in the bargaining unit. All present and future employees in the bargaining unit shall as a condition of their continued employment by the Company, become and remain members in good standing of the Union, to the extent of paying or tendering an initiation fee and periodic dues uniformly required as a condition of membership in the Union, no later than the day following the beginning of their employment or the day following the effective date of this Agreement, whichever is the later. The Union will make membership in the Union available to all employees covered by this Agreement terms and conditions as are generally applicable other members of the Union. Membership in the Union will not be denied or terminated for any reason other failure of an employee covered by this tender the initiation fee and periodic dues uniformly required of all members as a condition of acquiring or retaining membership in the Union. The Union, at the time of requesting the discharge of any make such request in writing and set forth the reason therefore. The Company agrees to deduct from the first pay cheque of each month the periodic monthly dues of covered by this Agreement and to remit deducted to the head office of the Local than the fifteenth day of the month in deducted. The Company will provide the Chief Xxxxxxx with the names of new employees who have successfully probationary period. The Company shall not be required to collect dues for any month that an employee has no wages due him on the day that the regular deduction for Union dues are made. It shall then be the duty of the Union to collect such dues.
