Weekend Program. (a) Weekend Program nurses will be paid the base rates as set forth in the Weekend Program pay scale in Appendix A.

1. For the purpose of this Section 4.06, a weekend is defined as the time period from 7:00 p.m. Friday night to 7:00 a.m.
Weekend Program. The Hospital may create twelve-hour positions which will be part of a weekend program (the “Program”). The Hospital shall determine which positions are part of the Program. As a guideline, however, positions will be included in the Program if they regularly require an employee to work: During the weekend, shifts that are regularly scheduled to begin Friday at 7:00 a.m. through Sunday at 11:00 p.m. An employee in a position that is designated by the Hospital as part of the Program and who are regularly scheduled to work three (3) twelve (12) hour weekend shifts per week shall receive forty (40) hours pay. However, in order to be eligible for forty (40) hours pay based on thirty-six (36) regularly scheduled hours of work, an employee must work or be paid accrued ETO time equal to or greater than 36 hours in a pay period. For example, if an employee is regularly scheduled to work three 12-hour shifts in a week and is absent from work for one 12-hour shift, the employee will only be paid 40 hours if she is paid 12 hours of accrued ETO time for the one-day absence. If for whatever reason, the employee is not paid 12 hours of accrued time, she will only be paid 24 hours for the week. An employee in the Program will be eligible for overtime as described in Section 28.2 above. As of April 18, 2010, any member currently part of “The Night Program” for the purposes of receiving forty (40) hours pay who are regularly scheduled to work three (3) twelve (12) hour shifts will no longer be entitled to the four

1. The weekend positions shall be initially offered to the current employees of the unit. If after the initial bidding process the positions have not been filled, then the open weekend positions shall be posted according to Article 24, if the FTE are available.
a) If there are no applicants for the .6 FTE positions the employer may post two .3FTE positions.
b) The hospital’s goal is to create additional weekend positions during the life of the contract to reach the level below (or more, provided the schedules and needs of the hospital are met).After the initial program launch, when the need arises, the employer may post weekend positions as determined by management after consultation with the scheduling committee on the unit. 2. This will not increase the total of FTE’s per unit, rather employees will bid into these positions and their full time or part time positions will not be posted.
3. The bidding practice shall be as follows:
a) For the initial positions, using formula in number 1, the positions shall be posted for ten (10) days on the unit, and awarded to bargaining members by seniority.
b) Creation of new weekend program jobs will be at the discretion of the manager after a discussion with the Scheduling Committee.

b. After the initial program launch when a need arises, the Employer may post weekend positions on an as needed basis. The position first for seven (7) days and the employer shall select qualified applicants from the bargaining unit on the basis of seniority. Thereafter, the Employer will follow the procedures contained in Article 14 (Job Posting and Transfers).
2. Employees who convert to a weekend position who have time in their sick time account shall be frozen and restored if they bid back into a non-weekend position
3. The positions offered will be either every weekend, or every other weekend, nurses shall work twelve (12) hour shifts. The weekend schedule begins Friday at 6:45 PM and ends on Monday at 7:15 AM.
4. The weekend rate for the day shift is stated in Article 7 Appendix A. The weekend rate for the night shift is stated in Article 7 Appendix A
Weekend Program. 54.1 Hours: Weekend program positions are part time benefit eligible positions budgeted for 24 hours. Each position will be 0.6 FTE with 12 hour shifts, except that, for Home Care, the position will be a .5 FTE with 10 hour shifts.
54.2 Weekend Definition: 7:00 am Saturday to 7:00 am Monday.
Weekend Program. Employees who are .50 FTE or greater and are willing to make a minimum of a 6-month commitment to work either 20, 24 or 36 hours every weekend may apply to the Premium Pay Weekend Program. Employees working less than .50 FTE are not eligible for the Premium Pay Weekend Program. For purposes of this Article, weekends are defined as 1500 Friday through 0700 Monday. If approved by the Nurse Manager, LPNs shall receive an additional $175 per pay period (on a pro rata basis for LPNs who are less than .9 FTE) during the time the LPN continues to participate in the Premium Pay Weekend Program in lieu of the regular weekend differential. RNs who are approved by the Nurse Manager to participate in the Premium Pay Weekend Program shall receive the following differential during the time that the RN continues to participate in the program in lieu of the regular weekend differential: 2013 2014 2015
Weekend Program. 1. Temple will institute a weekend program in all units currently open 7 days a week within 90 days after the ratification of this proposal. Xxxxxx agrees to post a minimum of 35 positions for the TUH- Main Campus. If there are significant staffing shortages on a unit that prevent the implementation of the weekend program for that unit, the Union and Temple will discuss a timeline for the unit to transition without disruption into the Weekend program.
