JOB POSTING AND TRANSFERS. In the event new jobs are created or vacancies occur in existing job classifications (unless the Employer notifies the Union in writing that it intends to postpone or not fill a vacancy), the Employer will post new jobs or vacancies for a period of ten (10) calendar days and shall stipulate the qualifications, rate and department concerned before new Employees are hired in order to allow Employees with seniority to apply. If no applications are received by 10:00 a.m. of the fourth day following the posting date, the Employer may start proceeding to secure applications from outside labour sources. An employee who applies for and is awarded a position, shall not be eligible to apply for another position for a period of six (6) months, except in cases where the position is of greater hours or in a different job classification.
