AND WAGE RATES. The occupational classifications covered by this Agreement and the wage rates for each classification is set out in Schedule A. Claim for recent related experience, if any, shall be made in writing by the employee at the time of hiring on the Application of Employment form or otherwise. The employee shall co-operate with the Hospital by providing verification of previous experience within three (3) months. The Hospital will credit the employee with one increment on the salary scale for every year of recent, related full-time experience as determined by the Hospital, to a maximum of one increment level below the maximum of the salary scale. For the purposes of this clause, as it applies to part-time employees, part-time experience will be calculated on the basis of hours worked equalling one year of experience. If a period of more than two (2) years has elapsed since the employee has occupied a full or part-time position, then the number of increments to be paid, if any shall be at the discretion of the Hospital. Where an employee is assigned temporarily to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a higher paying classification in the bargaining unit, for one full shift or more, she shall be paid at the lowest step in the band of the higher paying classification which would afford her an increase. An employee whose status is altered from part time to full time or vice versa within the same department and occupational classification will assume their same level on the wage grid. All articles in the Collective Agreement pertaining to money payments by the Hospital to individual employees shall be retroactive and apply to all employees in the bargaining unit as of April For the purpose of this article, the following shall be paid retroactivity: salaries (based on all hours paid) and overtime. Any new employees hired since April shall be entitled to a pro rata adjustment to their remuneration from the date of the employment. The Hospital shall be responsible to contact in writing at their last known addresses any employees who have left the employment of the hospital and/or the bargaining unit since April to advise them of their entitlement to any retroactive adjustment within fifteen 5) days following ratification of the Collective Agreement. Such employees will have a period of thirty (30) days after the mailing of the notice in which to claim such adjustments, and not thereafter.
AND WAGE RATES. 8.1 The Employees will be classified as set out in schedule B and their rates of pay will be no less than as stated in schedule A for the respective years.
8.2 Employees may apply to the Employer at any time to have their classification reviewed, provided that the Employer is not required to change the Employee's classification as a consequence of any such review.
8.3 The ‘Year 1’ rates of pay set out in Schedule A shall be payable from the first full pay period on or after the approval of the Agreement by the FWC.
8.4 The ‘Year 2’ rates of pay set out in Schedule A shall be payable from the first full pay period on or after the first anniversary of the approval of the Agreement by the FWC.
AND WAGE RATES. The occupational classifications and wage rates set forth in Appendix are agreed to by the Hospital and the Union. All employees covered by this agreement (except those not participating as of the date of ratification), shall participate in the Hospitals direct banking system as a condition of employment. Subject to the provisions of paragraph above, the wage rates in effect for the duration of this collective agreement shall be as set forth Schedule attached to and forming part of this collective agreement. It shall be the duty of the employees to notify the Hospital promptly of any change in address. If an employee fails to do this, the Hospital will not be responsible for failure of a notice sent by registered mail to reach such employee.
AND WAGE RATES. Wage rate increases will apply to Appendix D as follows. It is understood and agreed that existing employees in these classifications will not be paid less than new hires. Market Value The Employer and the Union agree that the following job classifications listed below may be given consideration for a “market adjustment” Such market adjustment will allow the employer to hire into these classifications at the market value rate as established in Appendix D should market conditions dictate that recruitment within the normal job rate is not possible. Speech and Language Pathologist Psychological Specialist Technical Application Support Specialist Technical Services Specialist Computer Support Trainer Intervenor Library Information Analyst Casual employees as described in Article will be paid ten percent (10%) less than the classification rate for the temporary position they are filling. An employee whose regularly scheduled shift begins at or later will be paid a shift bonus of fifty-nine (59) cents per hour for all regular hours worked. Shift bonus will apply to tractor operators on snow removal after midnight. When a “rover” is required at a school and there is more than one (1) custodian working at that school, the higher rate of pay will be granted to the most senior custodian normally employed at the school and presently responsible for the care of the school.

This starting rate will increase during the term of the Collective Agreement in accordance with the following formula: Probationary employees will receive a lesser amount than shown in Schedule but the differential will never be greater than one dollar ($1 An employee who works one full shift or more in a higher rated job classification shall be paid the higher rate for all hours so worked. The Company will ensure that wage rates for wait staff are no less than thirty-five cents ($0.35) per hour above the applicable statutory minimum wage rates. ARTICLE VACATIONS
AND WAGE RATES. During the term Agreement, the Company pay the following wage rates to its employees. Effective August employees working in the Maintenance and Electrical Technician positions will receive an additional per hour. Probationary employees will be paid per hour less than the foregoing rates. Students will be paid per hour less than the foregoing rates. Students are not otherwise covered by the terms and conditions of this agreement. “Students” may be hired each year during the months of May to September provided seniority employees who are able to perform the available work are layoff. Note: It is understood that employees performing the jobs of “floater” and “clean-up” in the operator classification will be required to perform production work as the need may arise.

Retroactivity For all employees the new wage rates set out in this Agree- ment shall be retroactive to the day of January, for all paid hours. Similarly, for those who have termi- nated since January the new wage rates shall be paid retroactively for all paid hours until the date of their respective termination. They shall have thirty (30) days from the date of notification thereof by the Employer to request their pay.
