Sick Leave for Full. Time Employees may be accumulated from year to year, but the total sick days accumulated may not exceed ninety. For purposes of IMRF only, additional creditable service for unused and unpaid sick leave may be accumulated up to a maximum of two hundred forty days. Upon termination of employment, an Employee shall not receive compensation for any unused sick days.
Sick Leave for Full time employees, shall accrue at the rate of one and one-fourth days for each month of actual service based on regularly scheduled hours and not to exceed fifteen working days in any calendar year. Part-time employees shall receive pro-rated equivalent days. Unused sick leave may be accumulated from year to year.

Sick Leave for Full time employees may accumulate up to a maximum of 350 hours, if not used, and carried over from year to year. Employees who have accumulated more than 350 hours as of December 1, 2020, shall have their accrued sick time in excess of 350 hours grandfathered, but are not allowed to have more than 1950 hours.
Sick Leave for Full time Regular Employees Full-time regular employees who are unable to work because of illness shall receive pay on the following basis:

  • Sick Leave Buy Back To encourage and reward employees who maintain good job attendance, the parties agree to the following incentive award: Employees who utilize two (2) sick leave days or less each assigned school calendar year and year-round employees who utilize three (3) sick leave days or less during each assigned school calendar year - upon request – shall receive payment for up to eight (8) days of sick leave, provided the employee worked the full assigned calendar year.* The following procedures apply to the payment of sick leave under this section.

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:

  • Sick Leaves a. After the first year of full-time employment, a full-time faculty member who, by reason of personal illness or a medically certified disability is incapable of performing the regular duties of a faculty member, shall be entitled to a sick leave, with full pay (in lieu of contract salary which otherwise would be earned), for a period not to exceed six months. In no event, however, shall the University’s payment for sick leave exceed one-half (1/2) of the faculty member’s then prevailing annual contract salary. If the faculty member receives governmental disability benefits and/or workers’ compensation benefits during the period of absence, the faculty member shall be paid the difference between the benefits received and the benefits provided above.
