Christmas Leave. 42.01 The Parties agree that each Employee will have three (3) days leave each calendar year. The Employer will set the days to cause the office to be closed between Christmas and New Year’s.
42.02 Should the Employer decide to open completely or partially during these three (3) days, the Parties shall meet and discuss the consequences of opening. The Parties acknowledge that they have assigned a value of 1.2% of salary to these three (3) days.
Christmas Leave. 19.4.1 Christmas Leave shall normally be granted. The Christmas Leave period shall commence not later than December 22nd and extend to at least January 3rd. The Contractor shall provide the Association and the Council with his proposed schedule of shutdown as well as those functions that will be required to continue during this period. The schedule and list of continuing functions shall be forwarded to the Site Representative of the Council and of the Association not later than December 1st.
19.4.2 An employee who is eligible for an Isolation Leave at the time of Christmas Leave shall be provided transportation in accordance with the provisions of Article 19.2.3 and that employee shall be deemed to have taken an Isolation Leave and shall commence accruing time towards his next Isolation Leave on his return following Christmas Leave. The provisions of Article 19.2.3.3 shall apply to such an employee.
Christmas Leave. Employees may be allowed to take unpaid leave for the working days from Christmas Eve to New Years Day inclusive providing operations of the Saskatchewan Craft Council are not affected.
Christmas Leave. 38.01 Academic staff members shall be granted the work days between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day as Christmas Leave, or, if required to work on those days, shall be paid, in addition to the member’s regular pay, pay at straight time rates for all hours so worked.
38.02 The Christmas float holiday, pursuant to Section 38 of this collective agreement shall be observed:
(a) on December 22nd when Christmas Day falls on a Monday;
(b) on December 23rd when Christmas Day falls on a Sunday;
(c) on December 24th when Christmas Day falls on any other day of the week.
38.03 Annual vacation leave entitlement shall not be reduced by the taking of Christmas Leave.
Christmas Leave. All employees shall in addition to their normal annual holidays whether granted pursuant to an Award, Agreement or contract of employment, be entitled to three days on full pay between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day each year. Employees who are on leave or who are required to work during this period shall be entitled to receive the extra three days as leave in lieu.
Christmas Leave. All employees who are normally scheduled to work shall be granted three (3) days leave of absence with pay to be taken between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day unless they are required to work for operational reasons. Such employees shall be paid at straight time and granted three (3) paid leave of absence days at some mutually agreeable time. It is understood that the University will not introduce new seasonal layoffs to avoid this benefit. The above language will also apply to shift employees.
Christmas Leave. All regular and long term auxiliary employees shall be granted three (3) days’ leave with pay during the Christmas week (December 25 to December 31, inclusive) in lieu of pay for attendance at Society and Board meetings, staff meetings and work Parties scheduled outside the regular workday.
Christmas Leave. To ensure an equivalent of benefit, Christmas leave shall be calculated and paid in hours. Three (3) days leave of absence with pay under Article 20.04 is calculated as twenty-four
Christmas Leave. The child care centre shall close operation between Christmas Eve Day and New Year's Day. Employees shall be considered to be on a leave of absence without loss of pay and without loss of seniority. Both parties recognize that improved care of children will result if employees acquire knowledge and skills related to the services provide by the Employer. The provisions of this article are intended to assist employees to maintaining and improving their skills.

Three (3) days leave of absence with pay under Article 20.04 is calculated as twenty-four (24) hours, the equivalent of two (2) shifts. As such, all employees who are normally scheduled to work shall be granted two (2) shifts’ leave of absence with pay to be taken between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day unless they are required to work for operational reasons. Such employees shall be paid at straight time and granted two (2) shifts’ leave of absence with pay at some mutually agreeable time. The remainder of Article 20.04 of the Collective Agreement shall apply. This Letter of Understanding will be in effect for a period of twelve (12) months and may be extended by mutual agreement of the Parties.
