EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND FRINGE BENEFITS. 7.1 All newly hired teachers will be subject to the following requirements for advancement on the salary schedule. Graduate course credit granted toward advancement on the salary schedule shall be limited to coursework in a pre-approved MA/MS accredited program that is directly related to improving the teacher’s competencies in the classroom/district. If the teacher already holds an MA/MS degree, the courses must be pre-approved and also be directly related to improving the teacher’s competencies in the classroom/district. Teachers hired prior to 2011-2012 contract year are excluded from this provision. 7.2 The Salary Schedules and Extra Curricular Differentials are set forth in Appendices A, B, C, and D, attached hereto. 7.3 Pay Days Specified: Employees will be paid twenty-six (26) times per year with paychecks issued every other Friday.

EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND FRINGE BENEFITS. 5.1 The salary schedule shall be set forth in Appendix 1 which is attached to and incorporated in this Agreement. A. Advancement beyond the Bachelor and the Master Columns will be based on the number of the graduate hours earned subsequent to attainment of the Bachelor's or Master's degrees. Teachers that have been placed on a particular lane prior to the effective date of this Agreement shall not be reduced to a lesser lane as a result of this section.
EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND FRINGE BENEFITS. 6.1 At the time of his/her initial employment, a teacher shall be given credit on the salary schedule for those years of previous public school experience as agreed upon by the teacher and the administration. If it is known at the time of the appointment that the services of an in-house substitute teacher, appointed pursuant to 3.3, will be required for a longer period than thirty (30) consecutive school days in the same assignment, the substitute shall be paid as per the regular salaryschedule. If it is not known at the time of the appointment the length of time the services of a substitute will be required and if, in the course of events, the substitute teaches more than thirty consecutive school days in the same assignment, the substitute shall be paid as per the regular salary schedule beginning with the thirty-firstday. If the substitute is certified or has been certified in the past in the particular subject sought, the administration reserves the right to immediately place the individual in the salary schedule. The administration will be allowed to negotiate placement on said salary schedule. The decision to place this type of individual on the salary schedule is solely at the discretion of the administration. 6.2 The basic salary schedules for the school year shall be set forth in Appendix I which is attached to and incorporated in this agreement. The schedule shall be based on a school calendar adopted as per the procedures outlined in section 3.2 of this agreement. 6.3 The extra pay schedule shall be set forth in Appendix II, which is attached to and incorporated into this agreement. Extra pay jobs are defined as those for which an extra increment has been established and exhibited in the Appendix II attachment. It is agreed that in securing people to perform the services exhibited in the extra pay schedule, the administration shall attempt to secure volunteers from among the teachers and that if such efforts fail, the administration may assign teachers to perform these services, in a non-discriminating manner. Nothing contained herein shall limit the administration from securing volunteers from outside the teacher group to perform these services. 6.4 The increment for extra pay jobs requiring service and effort over an extended period of time (coaching, class sponsorships, etc.) shall be added to the teacher’s salary and prorated over the number of payroll installments chosen by the teacher. EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND FRINGE BENEFITS. 3.1 Compensation-- $.40 per hour increase for 2017-2018; $.35 per hour increase for 2018-2019. Contract to be reopened solely for the purpose of bargaining wages for 2019-2020.
EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND FRINGE BENEFITS. 4.1 In order to receive a full year credit for the purposes of seniority, an employee must be employed full time at least ninety-five (95) days out of the one hundred ninety (190) days contracted with the School District for each year. 4.2 All teachers shall be paid semi-monthly. Dates for distribution of paychecks will be on the 15th and the last day of the month. In the event that these dates fall on weekends or holidays, paychecks will be distributed on the last business day preceding the regular pay period date. During the summer, checks shall be mailed two days prior to the designated pay day. Each teacher shall have the option of selecting to be paid on the basis of 9 months - 19 equal payments, or 12 months - 24 equal payments. The selection of 9 or 12 months shall be made at the beginning of the school year. Payroll sheets for those employees who use direct deposit will be emailed to the employee. 4.3 The Board shall contribute toward individual and dependent insurance coverage under an employee group insurance plan as follows: Individual – up to $435.00/month Employee + Spouse - $727.50/month Employee + Children - $718.00/month Family - $793.50/month The Board will pay fifty percent (50%) of any increase beyond the premium set in the 2008-2009 contract year. In any event, the Board’s contribution will be capped by the total cost of the insurance premium. The Board will pay an additional $750.00/year to any teacher who elects not to take the health insurance option. The Board shall make available a Section 125/Flexible Spending Plan to all members of the Association. Members who wish to participate will not incur more than a $4.00 per month cost associated with participation in the plan.

An assistant coach will be hired when the permanent athletes on a team exceed fifteen (15) at the date of first contest.
