Entitlement to Sick Leave. Each employee covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to fifteen (15) days sick leave with pay per year, which shall be credited at the rate of one and one-fourth days per month for each calendar month under contract. Employees may accumulate sick leave to a maximum of days equal to the employee’s yearly contract, or two hundred twenty-five (225), whichever is greater. Newly hired employees who have no accumulated sick leave will be advanced up to five (5) days of sick leave. Advanced sick leave days which are not subsequently earned by the employee before the employee leaves the District’s employment will be deducted from the employee’s last paycheck.

Entitlement to Sick Leave. A Licensed Educational Interpreter eligible for sick leave shall be granted such leave when absent from work and entitled to such sick leave in accordance with the provision of 3319.141 of the Ohio Revised Code, as follows: for absence due to personal illness, pregnancy, injury, exposure to contagious disease which could be communicated to others, and for absence due to illness, injury, or death in the employee's immediate family.
Entitlement to Sick Leave. An annual allotment of sick leave shall be granted to unit members at the beginning of each school year. Accrued sick leave may be used at any time during the school year. A unit member is not entitled to a payout of earned, unused days of sick leave upon separation from employment.

Entitlement to Sick Leave. A permanent full-time or part-time employee who, after not less than three months continuous service with Xxxx Xxx, is unable to attend for duty during their ordinary working hours by reason of personal illness or personal incapacity not due to their own serious and wilful misconduct, shall be entitled to be paid the same rate of pay that they would have earned had they not been absent for the time of such non- attendance subject to the following: (i) They shall not be entitled to be paid leave of absence for any period in respect of which they are entitled to workers' compensation. (ii) They shall, on the first day of their absence, inform the employer prior to the start of their shift, the nature of the illness or injury and the estimated duration of their absence. (iii) They shall prove to the satisfaction of their Supervisor that they were unable, on account of such illness or injury to attend for duty on the day or days for which sick leave payment is claimed, provided that any time so lost shall not be taken into account in computing the qualifying period of three months.

Entitlement to Sick Leave. All employees covered by this Agreement, except casual employees, shall be entitled to the hourly equivalent of 2 days of sick leave with pay for every month worked. The unused portion shall accumulate to a maximum of 176 days or the hourly equivalent. The Employer will track accumulated sick leave in hours, which will be reported on each employee’s pay stub.

Entitlement to Sick Leave. (i) An illness or injury for which Workers' Compensation is payable shall be deemed not to be a personal illness or injury for which an Employee is eligible to receive sick leave pay from the Employer or a third party insurer. (ii) An Employee may be required by the Employer to produce medical documentation from a legally qualified medical practitioner for any period of absence for which sick leave is claimed by an Employee (normally only for absences in excess of three (3) working days) and if medical documentation is not produced within five (5) business days after such a request, the Employee will not be paid until such time as the appropriate medical documentation has been received. (iii) In the event of an unjustified failure by an Employee to notify the Employer that he/she will be absent from work due to sickness, the Employee shall not be entitled to sick leave pay for that day. (iv) Employees can accumulate, but cannot use sick leave credits during their probationary period.
