Hours of Work and Work Rules. Definition of Employees Full-time employee is defined as a person employed in a position that is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. Part-time employee is defined as a person employed in a position that is scheduled for fewer than forty (40) hours per week. Temporary employee is defined as a person employed to temporarily replace a current position in the bargaining unit or to fulfill a College need for limited employment. Hours of Work and Work Rules. 14.1 Hours in excess of forty (40) hours per week will be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1½) the Employees regular rate of pay. Hours worked on any day in excess of ten (10) hours will be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1½) the Employees regular rate of pay. Hours worked on Saturday or Sunday in excess of 8 hours will be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1½) the Employees regular rate of pay, excluding work on Saturday and Sundays in excess of 8 hours when the work shift assignment is 4 days a week ten hours a day. If the Em- ployer receives overtime compensation from the customer for work performed on Saturday or Sunday, the Employer shall pay all affected Employees the same additional rate the Employer is receiving for all hours worked on those days.
