Meal Program. Dietary employees receive one free meal per day during shifts of duty. Employees may purchase meals for two dollars ($2.00) per meal paid through a payroll deduction program. The cost of meals purchased will be deducted from net wages on the pay check following purchase. Employees will receive free meals served during extra shifts worked. All Employees will receive free meals served during extra shifts worked, regardless of shift. Additionally, all employees shall receive a free meal when working a Holiday shift.

School breakfasts, lunches, and afterschool snacks must be consistent with USDA recommended quantities and dietary guidelines for each grade level using the Food Base Menu Planning Option. The ultimate requirement of this Agreement is that USDA standards be met or exceeded in a creative, appetizing, and appealing manner with special emphasis on providing a variety of fresh, wholesome, nutritious and appetizing food. Menus will offer local fare (when food cost is comparable to other menu items), xxxxx xxxx, and will include fiber in the form found naturally in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. The LEA will establish an advisory board of parents, teachers, and students to assist in menu planning. (7 CFR 210.16 9 (a) (8)
