Overtime - time off in lieu. (TOIL) 6.1 All employees working overtime may by agreement receive compensatory leave as an alternative to overtime. All Time off in lieu (TOIL) is given against actual hours worked at plain time with no enhancement.
Overtime - time off in lieu. An employee may elect, with the consent of the company, to take time off in lieu of payment for overtime at a time or times agreed with the company within twelve (12) months of the said election providing that any overtime taken as time off during ordinary time hours shall be taken at the ordinary time rate, that is an hour for each hour worked. This provision can only be elected by the employee, not the company, but with the consent of the company.

Overtime - time off in lieu. (TOIL) 6.2.1 An employee shall be granted TOIL or paid overtime, at the election of QCOSS, where they work more than 10 hours in any one day or where the employee works outside of the bandwidth. 6.2.2 Overtime/TOIL shall be paid for or accrue at the following rates: For employees classified as level 6, 7, 8 and Senior Manager at all times – ordinary (single) time as these rates include the 7.5% loading payable under the award, provided that the overall terms and conditions of employment for such employees are no less favourable than the provisions of the award. For employees classified as level 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 (i) when working on weekdays and Saturdays - time and a half for the first two hours and double time thereafter (ii) when working on Sundays – double time (ii) when working on public holidays - double time and a half. 6.2.3 Employees required to work overtime on Saturday or Sunday shall be paid a minimum payment of two hours at such overtime rate: 6.2.4 Overtime shall only be worked with the prior approval of the employer. 6.2.5 When overtime is worked it shall, wherever reasonably practicable, be arranged so that employees have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive shifts. 6.2.6 Except where expressly approved in writing by the CEO, TOIL shall apply in lieu of overtime payments. 6.2.7 If Toil is not used within four weeks, the manager and employee must prepare a plan to identify how TOIL will be used. If a plan has not been agreed or TOIL is not used within 12 weeks, QCOSS can direct an employee to take TOIL or TOIL will be paid at the appropriate rate.
Overtime - time off in lieu. 5.7.1 Where we request you to work hours in excess of the span or quantum of ordinary hours and you work such hours, we will pay you at the penalty of time-and-a-half for the first three hours and double time thereafter calculated on the ordinary rate for such duties performed. 5.7.2 Where an employee requests time off in lieu of payment of overtime and the employee agrees to this request, the employer shall allow such time off where it does not effect the efficient operation of the business. Such time off shall be paid at the employees ordinary hourly rate prescribed in Schedule 2 of this agreement. The maximum number of hours accumulated that may be taken as time off in lieu shall be 8 hours per month, provided that al least 14 days notice is supplied by the employee, and the time in lieu is taken within six months of the date of accrual.

  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within sixty (60) calendar days."

  • Time Off in Lieu By mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee, the employee may take time off, calculated at the appropriate overtime rate, in lieu of overtime pay.

  • Compensatory Time Off Utilization of compensatory time off shall be by mutual agreement between the department head and the employee. The smallest increment of compensatory time which may be taken off is six (6) minutes.

  • Vacation; Paid Time Off During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the Company’s vacation policies, as in effect from time to time. The Executive shall receive other paid time-off in accordance with applicable law and the Company’s policies for executive officers as such policies may exist from time to time.

Employees working assigned, pre-approved time in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be given either overtime pay or compensatory time at the rate of one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate of pay. The name of the supervisor authorized to approve overtime assignments shall be posted in each building. The employee may elect to take either overtime pay or compensatory time off. Holidays, sick leave, personal days, or vacation days shall be included as regular time for purposes of computing overtime. In the event overtime is required, the Assistant Superintendent or his/her designee shall solicit volunteers to fill the overtime positions. In the event no volunteers are available or the volunteers available are unqualified in the opinion of the Assistant Superintendent or designee, overtime may be assigned. Overtime assignments will be made on a rotational basis at each work site to employees who normally do the work assigned. Reasonable advance notice will be given to employees assigned overtime. An employee shall not be called in for snow removal duty sooner than 8 hours following the conclusion of his/her regular shift or any other work performed for the District. B. Only forty-five (45) hours of compensatory time can be earned in a contract year. Use of compensatory time must be approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor. Compensatory time earned must be used during the contract year in which it is earned or cashed in for pay at the rate in effect for the employee at the time the employee receives such payment. Employees who have accumulated more than forty (40) hours of compensatory time at the time of execution of this Agreement shall retain all such accumulated time, provided, however, that such employees shall not be allowed to use more than forty (40) hours in any contract year. All compensatory time must be submitted on a timesheet. C. All overtime worked must be submitted on a timesheet to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. Requests for use of compensatory time off shall be submitted in writing to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. X. Xx employee called in to work on his/her day off will be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate rate. E. The decision to assign overtime will not be based upon an employee’s preference for either compensatory time or overtime pay. F. In the event an employee’s regular permanent assignment requires the performance of duties in more than one job classification, the overtime rate to be used to calculate compensation for the employee for the overtime work shall be the rate of the classification which caused the employee to work such overtime hours.

  • Accrued Salary and Paid Time Off On the Separation Date, the Company will pay you all accrued salary, and all accrued and unused vacation earned through the Separation Date, subject to standard payroll deductions and withholdings. You are entitled to these payments by law.

  • Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to take paid time off in accordance with the Company’s applicable paid time off policy for executives, as may be in effect from time to time.
