Pool Time. A. A bank of five thousand eight hundred (5,800) hours will be furnished by the Employer for use as F.O.P. Pool Time to be shared between all F.O.P. units within the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The time shall be used by any member of the F.O.P. for F.O.P. activities. Approval of such time shall be authorized by the F.O.P. President or his/her designee. Time charged will be the actual time used. The F.O.P. may roll over not more than one thousand two hundred and fifty (1,250) hours to a subsequent year. No more than six thousand five hundred (6,500) hours within all F.O.P. units shall be taken in any given year. When the F.O.P. requests time off under these provisions, the employee who is to be off shall electronically submit the request to the Office of the Sheriff for approval. The employees involved shall submit appropriate leave request forms at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the use of Pool Time. Such request will not be unreasonably denied. A request for Pool Time may be denied if it causes the use of overtime. B. The F.O.P. also reserves the right to continue its current practice of having members donate days from their personal leave accounts to be added to the bank of Pool Time.

Pool Time. The decision regarding a player’s pool time is at the discretion of the coach. They will endeavor to give all players fair pool time but in some circumstances during National competition there will be some games where they will need to play the team most suited to the opponents for the benefit of the whole team.

Pool Time. Pool time is annual leave time donated by FPSU represented employees for the purpose of providing FPSU stewards and officers the opportunity to be absent from work without loss of pay for the following reasons: A. Union meetings B. Union training classes/seminars C. Attendance at Union conventions D. Preparation for contract negotiations with the City E. Contract negotiations with the City FPSU representatives who are either officials or stewards as defined by this Article and are recognized by the Employer may be granted time off by Departmental Management to conduct business in connection with FPSU - St. Petersburg Unit. Time off for FPSU business will be without loss of straight time pay by using available pool time provided the following: A. A written request for the use of pool time, using the Pool Time Request form contained within this Article, is submitted through the employee's supervisor to the Section or division manager at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the time off, or shorter notice in the case of unforeseen circumstances. The Pool Time Request Form will be accompanied by appropriate supporting documentation (e.g., announcement of Union convention with dates and location, description of course time, location and content). B. Sufficient staffing is available to properly carry out the work of the Department/Section during the absence of the FPSU representative(s) as determined by the appropriate manager. C. Approval by the appropriate manager is received in advance of the use of pool time. The manager shall, prior to approval, take into account staffing problems, possible emergency situations, possible overtime obligations and pool time use conflicts with vacation time schedules. In all cases, the goal of providing efficient and superior service to the community is of paramount importance. D. No more than five (5) Union representatives and stewards shall be off at any one time. Each individual representative and xxxxxxx shall not use more than ten (10) hours of pool time per month, and no more than a total of forty (40) hours of pool time shall be used by the Union per month. An exception will be made to these limits once a year for each Union officer and Union xxxxxxx to attend a seminar or conference for up to forty (40) hours. Union representatives and stewards who are on pool time agree to remain off City premises unless the pool time is being used for contract negotiations with the City; failure to do so will result in the loss...
Pool Time. 1. Any member of the bargaining unit may donate vacation or sick leave to the Union pool time account. Vacation leave donations shall be in increments of one hour, on the basis of one hour vacation for one hour pool time. Sick leave donations shall be in increments of two hours, not to exceed 32 hours per fiscal year, on the basis of two hours sick leave for one hour pool time. Donation of sick leave in accordance with the provisions of this section may not cause an employee's sick leave balance to be reduced to below 200 hours. Carryover of Union pool time from one fiscal year to the next shall not exceed 500 hours. Donations of time to this pool must be made in writing and signed by the employee. 2. Charges against the Union business pool time, approved in this Article, shall only be made when approved by the Union President or Vice President and the Union shall notify the City in writing of any charges against the pool at least forty-eight hours prior to the time-off period. The Department Director or his designee may grant permission, provided sufficient personnel is available for requests, of less than forty-eight hours when such notice was not possible. 3. The use of the above-referenced pool time shall be used by Union officials, up to a maximum of four (4) in any one instance, for the conduct of Union business, including, but not limited to the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements or the modification or amendment of the same. Time off under this provision shall be granted at the discretion of the City; however, the use of this time will not be unduly restricted by the City given sufficient advance notice by the Union. Pool time may be used provided that sufficient staffing is available on the regular shift to properly staff the department/unit during the absence of the Union officials as determined by management. Vacation time schedules have priority over requests for the use of Union business pool time. 4. Pool time shall not be considered time worked for purposes of computing overtime.

  • Central Time After all Parties have been notified, the provisions of paragraphs (b) and (c) of this Section 2.1 shall apply.”

  • Call Time Employees recalled to work after leaving the premises of the Company, after completion of their regular shift, will be paid double rate for all hours worked, with a guaranteed minimum payment of two (2) hours at double rate, i.e., four (4) hours at straight time rate.

  • Crib Time (i) When an Employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, he/she shall be allowed to take, without deduction of pay, a crib time of twenty minutes in duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work, he/she shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes in duration. (ii) In the event of an Employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of twenty minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked twenty minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly.

  • Additional Time If because of events beyond the Design Professional’s reasonable control, it is not able to meet the specified time period, then it should be entitled to ask the Owner for additional time, which request shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Personal Time Employees shall be eligible to take accrued PTO time for personal reasons. Such time must be scheduled in advance in accordance with Employer policies and be approved by the employee's supervisor. Personal time PTO must be taken in at least one hour increments.

  • Flex Time Upon agreement of the supervisor's immediate supervisor, an individual flex-time schedule may be established.

  • Break Time For daily work assignments of six or more hours, permanent and probationary employees (except bus drivers and bus aides) shall be entitled to one 15-minute break for each half of the work assignment. For work assignments of less than six hours, such employees shall be entitled to one 15-minute break. Employees who spend a majority of the workday working with a Video Display Terminal (VDT) shall be permitted to perform other job-related duties (i.e., work not involving use of a VDT) 10 continuous minutes out of each hour. Such time shall not be cumulative and shall be in addition to break time established above.

  • Daylight Savings Time Employees required to work more than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or more than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from daylight savings time to standard time shall be paid for the additional hour worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2). Employees required to work less than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or less than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from standard time to daylight savings time shall be paid for the actual hours worked. Employees may use vacation time or compensatory time to make up for the one (1) hour lost. Employees in the first six (6) months of employment who would be eligible to accrue vacation, may be advanced one (1) hour of vacation time which shall either be deducted from their vacation leave balance, or deducted from their last paycheck if the employee is separated prior to accruing vacation.

  • Travel Time Leave provided in paragraphs A and B of this Article shall apply to and cover actual and necessary travel to and from such meetings required during normal working hours on the day of the meeting or negotiations, except that MSEA-SEIU bargaining team members traveling 100 miles or more to negotiations shall be entitled to travel time outside of days of negotiations.

  • Pacific Time If enabled by Platform, the Same Day ACH means that the transfer will be performed within one (1) business day. Any same day ACH transfer scheduled after the cut-off time will be treated as if it were scheduled as next day ACH transfer. In some circumstances, transactions may be delayed for risk or compliance reasons.
