RECLASSIFICATION AND STATEMENT OF DUTIES. 20.01 If, during the term of this Agreement, a new classification standard is established and implemented by the Employer, the Employer shall, before applying rates of pay to the new levels resulting from the application of the standard, negotiate with the Institute the rates of pay and the rules affecting the pay of employees on their movement to the new levels.
20.02 Upon written request, an employee shall be provided with a complete and current statement of the duties and responsibilities of his position, including the classification level and, where applicable, the point rating allotted by factor to his position, and an organization chart depicting the position’s place in the organization.
RECLASSIFICATION AND STATEMENT OF DUTIES. 43.01 If, during the life of the present Agreement, the present classification standard is modified or a new classification standard is established creating new levels of classification, the employer shall, before applying rates of pay to new levels resulting from the introduction of the standard, negotiate with the Institute rates of pay and rules concerning the employee's rates of pay on conversion to new levels.
43.02 Where an employee is assigned to such new or reclassified position before agreement has been reached regarding the rate of pay, the new rate shall be retroactive to the date the employee was assigned to the new or reclassified position.
43.03 On written request, an employee shall be entitled to a complete and current statement of the duties and responsibilities of his/her position, including its classification level and position rating, and an organization chart showing its location within the organization.
43.04 An employee who feels that the major responsibilities which are included in his/her job description have been significantly modified, may present to his/her supervisor, a written request for a reevaluation of his/her position, copy to the Human Resources Branch, Organizational Development section. Upon receipt of such a request, the supervisor and the representative of Human Resources shall have a maximum of six (6) months to carry out the review requested. In the case of a salary increase, the adjustment shall be retroactive to the date of the request.
43.05 When the Employer makes changes to a job description, these changes shall be underlined prior to submitting a copy to the local union president.
43.06 When the employee and/or the Institute are in disagreement with the revised job description, the Institute and/or the employee shall have thirty (30) calendar days as of reception of the revised description, to submit their comments to the Employer. After having paid careful attention the Institute’s comments, the Employer may or may not bring modifications to the job description.

RECLASSIFICATION AND STATEMENT OF DUTIES. Classification standard
43.01 If, during the term of the collective agreement, the present classification standard is modified or if a new classification standard is established, creating new classification levels, the Employer shall:
(a) furnish to the Institute the calculation method applied by the software applied by the NFB that weighs the answers given during the job evaluation with regard to the value of each question of the job evaluation questionnaire and calculates the total for positions;
(b) before applying rates of pay to new levels resulting from the introduction of the standard, negotiate with the Institute rates of pay and rules concerning the employee's rates of pay on conversion to new levels.
43.02 In such circumstances, where an employee is assigned to such new or reclassified position before agreement has been reached regarding the rate of pay, the new rate shall be retroactive to the date the classification standard was modified or introduced. In the case where the employee is affected to the function after the introduction or of the modification of the standard, the new rate of pay will take effect on his or her hire date.

21.03 When the Employer reclassifies a position to a lower level position, an employee shall maintain his existing salary until the position is vacated or the maximum salary of the reclassified level becomes greater than the employee’s existing protected salary.
21.04 Where an employee’s salary is protected under this Article, the employee shall remain eligible for Pay for Performance lump sum payment as set out in Appendix A.

RECLASSIFICATION AND STATEMENT OF DUTIES. 36.01 If, during the life of the present agreement, the present classification standard is modified or a new classification standard is established creating new levels of classification and is applied by the Employer, he should, before applying rates of pay to new levels resulting from the introduction of the standard, negotiate and arrive at a mutual agreement with the Union on rates of pay and rules concerning the employee's rates of pay on conversion to new levels.
36.02 Where an employee is assigned to such new or reclassified position before agreement has been reached regarding the rate of pay, the new rate shall be retroactive to the date the employee was assigned to the new or reclassified position.
36.03 Upon request, the employee shall be entitled to receive a copy of his/her job description including the position classification level.
36.04 The Employer shall give the Union, within a reasonable time, any job description falling within the bargaining unit that is requested by the Union.
36.05 An employee who feels that the duties contained in his/her job description have been significantly modified may submit to his/her supervisor a request for re-evaluation of his/her position. Upon receipt of such a request, the supervisor shall have a maximum of six (6) months to carry out the review requested. In the case of a salary increase, the adjustment shall be retroactive to the date of the request.

36.02 Consultation in case of position abolishment

If, during the life of the present Agreement, the present classification standard is modified or a new classification standard is established creating new levels of classification, the Employer shall, before applying rates of pay to new levels resulting from the introduction of the standard, negotiate with the Institute rates of pay and rules concerning the employee’s rates of pay on conversion to new levels. Where an employee is assigned to such new or reclassified position before agreement has been reached regarding the rate of pay, the new rate shall be retroactive to the date the employee was assigned to the new or reclassified position. Upon written request from the employee to his/her supervisor, the supervisor will give to the employee, within ten working days following the request, a copy of his/her job description including the position classification level and the point value. An employee who feels that the functions which are included in his/her job description have been sufficiently modified, may present to his/her supervisor, a request for a reevaluation of his/her position.
RECLASSIFICATION AND STATEMENT OF DUTIES. 41.01 If the present classification standard is modified or if a new classification standard is established creating new levels of classification and is applied by the Employer, he should, before applying rates of pay to new levels resulting from the introduction of the standard, determine by mutual agreement with the Union rates of pay.
41.02 The Employer has the right to modify, abolish, and create any job. The Union shall be advised in writing and as soon as possible of any changes to this effect and when they enter into force. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the case of the elimination of positions, the Employer must meet with the Union no later than ten (10) business days prior to the date said position is to be eliminated to provide reasons for the change.
41.03 Upon request, the employee shall be entitled to receive a copy of his/her description of duties, including the classification level of the position as well as the numerical rate assigned to it.
41.04 The Employer will continue the practice of giving to the Union, within a reasonable time following the signature, updates of job descriptions falling within the bargaining unit.
41.05 An employee may request a review of the job description for his/her position or an evaluation thereof in any of the following situations:
(a) When the main responsibilities for the position occupied have been modified so they no longer correspond to the description of the position concerned or evaluation of it.
(b) When the conditions in which he/she carries out his/her main responsibilities are modified. This written request shall specify the specific nature of the changes for which a review is needed and it shall be submitted to his/her supervisor, with a copy to the Human Resources division, Global Compensation sector. This sector shall acknowledge receipt of the review request within five (5) working days. A copy of the acknowledgement of receipt is simultaneously submitted to the Union. The committee must meet as soon as possible and will have a maximum of six (6) months to carry out the work.
41.06 Joint evaluation committee
(a) The joint evaluation committee is made of two (2) representatives from each party. If the function of a person in the committee is in the evaluation process, the person must withdraw from the committee for the duration of the evaluation.
