RECOGNITION & COVERAGE. The Board the Canadian Union of Public Employees as the exclusive bargaining agent for all employees engaged in maintenance services and plant operations, save and except caretaking and main- tenance supervisors and persons above the rank of caretaking and maintenance supervisors, office staff, persons regularly employed for less than twenty hours per week, and students employed during the school vacation period. Supervisory staff, including and above the level of caretaking and maintenance supervisors, shall not work on any jobs which are included in the bargaining unit, except for the purposes of instruction, experimenting, performing minor repairs, or in emergencies when regular employees are not available and provided that the act of performing the aforementioned operations in itself does not reduce the hours of work or pay of any employee. Worker A person employed for the purposes of replacing an employee absent due to sickness, accident or other approved absence or leave, or of performing a temporary maintenance assignment during the months of July and August. Such persons shall not be entitled to accrual of seniority or fringe benefits in excess of what is stipulated by the Employment Standards Act. Temporary workers shall not be engaged for periods beyond sixty consecutive calendar days without the approval of the Executive of the Union.
RECOGNITION & COVERAGE. 2.1 Pursuant to the Xxxxxx‐Milias‐Brown Act of the State of California, and the Employer Relations Resolution of Employer (Resolution No. 92‐236), Employer has on January 14, 1993, formally recognized the Associations as the exclusively recognized employee organization representing employees in the unit of representation consisting of all Registered Nurses and Utilization Review Coordinators pursuant to an election conducted on December 18, 1992.
RECOGNITION & COVERAGE. 101 The Employer hereby recognizes the Association as the exclusive representative and bargaining agent of all Registered Nurses in the Certified Unit employed by the Employer, excluding statutory supervisors and managers who are licensed Registered Nurses. The Association recognizes the responsibility of representing the interests of all Registered Nurses in the Unit fairly and without discrimination in respect to grievances, personnel policies, practices and other matters affecting their employment and general working conditions. 102 The terms of this Agreement are applicable to all Registered Nurses in the Bargaining Unit regardless of grade or step or number of hours of work.

The Company recognizes the Union as the collective bargaining agent for all of its employees at its Division in Durham Region, save and except foremen, foreladies, persons above the rank of xxxxxxx or forelady, office staff, sales staff and watchmen employed by the Company exclusively to perform the work of security guards. The Company agrees that Staff will not perform hourly bargaining unit functions or jobs except in cases whereby the is assisting an hourly employee when the regular employee who normally performs that function is not readily available or in emergencies beyond the Company's control. In such cases the intent is to ensure that production runs in a cost effective and orderly fashion not to displace hourly employees or their jobs. The word "employee" or "employees" whenever used in this Agreement shall mean any or all employees, male or female, in the bargaining unit as defined above.
RECOGNITION & COVERAGE. Section A: The Department recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive collective bargaining representative for the purpose of negotiating wages, hours and working conditions for all employees in the bargaining unit as hereinafter defined: All Motor Vehicle Operators, Bus Attendants, clerical employees, timekeepers and telephone operators employed in the Department, excluding Senior Motor Vehicle Operators and Senior Attendants, management officials, supervisors, confidential employees, and employees engaged in personnel work other than in a purely clerical capacity and employees engaged in the administration of the provisions of Title XVII, District of Columbia Comprehensive Merit Personnel Act of 1978.
