Responsibilities of the Board. 2.1.1 The board shall act as a good employer in all its dealings with the principal. For the purposes of this agreement a good employer is an employer who treats employees fairly and properly in all aspects of their employment.
2.1.2 The board shall ensure that a performance agreement with the principal is in place and undertake an annual performance review as outlined in part four of this collective agreement.
2.1.3 The board shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that the principal is provided with adequate resources to fulfil the responsibilities and duties required of the principal under this collective agreement.
Responsibilities of the Board. The Board on its own behalf and on behalf of the electors of the school district, hereby retains and reserves unto itself, without limitation, all powers, rights, authority, duties and responsibilities conferred upon and vested in it by the laws and the Constitution of the State of Michigan and of the United States including, but without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the right:
A. To the executive management and administrative control of the school system and its properties and facilities and the activities of its employees;
B. To hire all employees and subject to the provisions of law, to determine their qualifications and the conditions for their continued employment, or their dismissal or demotion; and to promote and transfer all such employees. The exercise of the foregoing powers, rights, authority, duties and responsibilities by the Board, the adoption of policies, rules, regulations and practices in furtherance thereof, and the use of judgment and discretion in connection therewith shall be limited only by the specific and expressed terms of this agreement and then only to the extent such specific and expressed terms thereof are in conformance with all applicable law and regulations having the effect of law. Nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed to limit the Board’s rights regarding those matters designated as management rights and prohibited subjects of bargaining in the Public Employment Relations Act. This provision shall prevail in the event it conflicts any other provision of this Agreement.
Responsibilities of the Board. 6.1 To encourage teachers to assume the role of cooperating teachers and promote the schools/centres of the board as attractive training sites;
6.2 To ensure the distribution of application forms to the entire teaching staff in order to identify those potentially interested in assuming the responsibilities of a cooperating teacher;
6.3 To appoint a respondent at the board level who, at the request of the universities, will be responsible for familiarizing the student teachers with the culture and environment in the board’s schools/centres;
6.4 To be responsible for all accounting functions relating to the budget and provide full account of the funds spent each year and/or carried forward.
Responsibilities of the Board. The Board shall perform its duties in accordance with Federal law, Florida Statutes, State Board of Education Rules and Board policy. The Board, as well as individual Board members, shall refer concerns and complaints to the Superintendent. Individual Board members have no authority to take action or direct the Superintendent except with express authorization by majority vote of the Board.

A. Provide payment to the Sheriff in accordance with Section 4 ofthis MOU.

Responsibilities of the Board. 2.2.1 The Board will consider the recommended plan for the adoption of the RIF at the duly called Board meeting. Public notice of this meeting will announce that RIF will be considered. The discussion and action on the plan will be in open session allowing for comment and review by the Association, employees and members of the public attending this meeting. However, nothing herein will restrict the Board from holding portions of the discussion in closed session, if such discussion would be proper under the New Mexico Open Meetings Act.
2.2.2 The plan adopted by the board will be made available to the Association and all staff by providing copies thereof in the office of each building supervisor and at the Superintendent's office within two (2) working days after adoption by the Board.
Responsibilities of the Board. 3.1 Prior to December 31, 2024, to demonstrate compliance with Section 2.2, the Board shall provide a report to DCA demonstrating actual or committed disbursement of Grant Funds and the need for and commitment to expend the Grant Funds by no later than December 31, 2026.
3.2 The Board shall provide the requisite staff and support required to implement the Program.
3.3 The Board hereby binds itself, certifies and assures that it will comply with all federal, State, and local laws and regulations, policies, guidelines, and requirements, as they relate to the acceptance and use of federal CSFRF Funds, including all applicable State and Federal Executive Orders. The Parties expressly acknowledge that the matters which are the subject of this MOU are governed by the ARP Act, including subtitle M, and administered by the U.S. Treasury, and may be subject to ongoing modifications and clarifications. The Board agrees to comply with all applicable CSFRF requirements and Federal cross-cutting statutes and regulations as more fully detailed in the Schedule of Assurances attached hereto as Exhibit C and made a part hereof, in addition to the U.S. Treasury Guidance and Frequently Asked Questions and the U.S. Treasury Final Rule (31 CFR Part 35) as they may be updated from time to time, and subject to any other exceptions and waivers that may be issued by U.S. Treasury that affect CSFRF Funds.
3.4 The Board shall be responsible for requiring that all of its subrecipients, contractors, and all tiers of subcontractors adhere to all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations, including the ARP Act, all other applicable federal statutes, U.S. Treasury regulations, as well as the requirements set forth in this MOU, including Exhibit C, and to conduct all necessary monitoring for such compliance.
3.5 The Board shall provide DCA with a report detailing Program progress and budgetary updates for inclusion in DCA’s reporting to U.S. Treasury, using the reporting criteria detailed in Exhibits C and D. The frequency of financial reporting will be monthly and Program progress reporting will be quarterly, unless determined otherwise by the Parties.
3.6 The Board shall submit a record of all their obligations and expenditures into SIROMS with necessary supporting documentation, along with other obligations such as grants, subrecipient agreements, and contracts. Responsibilities of the Board. 4.1 In consultation with the Centre Director and the Faculty of Education Advisory Committee, the Board will provide the School Program during each school year covered by this Agreement.
4.2 The Board will designate one of its principals as the Principal for the School Program. It is agreed that consultation with the Centre Director on the appointment of the Principal is desirable given the integral working relationship of the Centre Director and the Principal.
4.3 The Board will employ and provide appropriate Educational Staff to carry out the School Program. Staff selection will be done in consultation between the Principal and the Centre Director.
4.4 The Board will ensure that Educational Staff employed at the Centre will cooperate with the research and training activities conducted at the Centre by University Faculty and work as team members in a manner consistent with the goals and philosophies of the Centre and the School Program.
4.5 The Board will oversee visits to the Centre by guests of the school district.
