Returning from Leave of Absence. The employee must be qualified to resume his regular duties upon return to work from an approved Leave of Absence. A doctor's certificate verifying that the employee is able to resume his normal duties may be required. The employee shall be returned to the job previously held, or to a job comparable with regard to rate of pay no later than on the first weekly schedule, provided the notice of intent to return to work is received prior to 9:00 am, Wednesday of the week preceding the next available schedule.
Returning from Leave of Absence. 29 The returning employee will be assigned to the position occupied before the leave of absence.
Returning from Leave of Absence. No employee shall be entitled to reemployment after having used all of his/her accrued sick and emergency leave, except as herein otherwise provided. All such employees shall, however, be given consideration for employment in a position for which they are qualified.
Returning from Leave of Absence. 32 The returning employee will not necessarily be assigned to the identical position occupied before the 33 leave of absence. However, provided a vacancy exists for which the employee is qualified, the 34 employee shall be reinstated to a position equivalent in duties and salary to that held at the time the 35 request for leave of absence was approved. The employee on leave must notify the District no later 36 than April 1st of their intentions for the following school year. Failure to respond by April 1st will 37 result in separation of employment. 39 If a vacancy does not exist equivalent in duties and salary, a layoff consistent with other provisions of 40 this Agreement will be instituted to create an appropriate position. 41
Returning from Leave of Absence a. When returning from any leave of absence, it shall be the obligation of the employee to notify the Personnel Department five (5) calendar days before his/her return to work that he/she is ready, willing and able to work, and at the time the employee returns to duty, he/she shall be obligated to produce to the Chief of the Department or the Chief’s designee a valid Michigan Operator’s License and a valid EMT or EMT‐BD, or EMT‐S, or EMT‐P license, as needed to perform their regular duties corresponding to their position and rank.
b. An employee returning from any sick leave of absence of any duration, or any other leave of absence which exceeds thirty days in duration, must successfully pass a physical examination by a City designated doctor in order to be reinstated to his/her position. In the event the employee disagrees with the opinion of the physician designated by the City, the employee shall have the right to have a physician of his/her own choice conduct a physical examination, at the employee’s own expense. Should the employee fail to successfully pass the physical examination administered by the employee’s doctor, the City shall have no obligation to reinstate the employee to his/her position. However, in the event the physician chosen by the employee determines that the employee has successfully passed the physical examination administered by him/her, and the City refuses to reinstate the employee to duty, and the employee desires to return to duty, then the employee shall submit to a physical examination at the University of Michigan Hospital, or Xxxxx Xxxx Hospital, and must successfully pass that physical in order to be reinstated to his/her position. The employee and the City shall share equally the costs of the examination conducted at the University of Michigan or Xxxxx Xxxx Hospital.
Returning from Leave of Absence. Employees returning from a leave of absence because of illness or injury may be required to undergo a medical examination by, and receive the approval of, a MetroParks-designated physician before being permitted to return to work. If such an examination is required, it shall be paid for by MetroParks.
Returning from Leave of Absence. Any teacher who is on leave of absence who wishes to return to his/her teaching duties at the beginning of the school year shall notify the Superintendent or his/her designee in writing of such intention no later than March 1, preceding the commencement of the next school year. Any teacher who takes a leave of absence shall be guaranteed the return to a comparable teaching position held prior to such leave. If notice is not received by March 1, it is assumed that the person on leave of absence has no desire to return, thereby terminating the leave and employment.
Returning from Leave of Absence. An employee who has been on an extended leave of absence in excess of ninety days will, if he/she has given the thirty (30) days notice of return, have the right to any vacancy available in the curricular or subject area for which said employee is qualified, certified, and endorsed as to grade level, and approved as to subject matter. If there is no such vacancy, then seniority permitting the District will lay off, effective for the following school year, the least senior employee in a position for which the returning employee is certified, endorsed and approved.
Returning from Leave of Absence. When returning from any leave of absence, it shall be the obligation of the Employee to notify the Township at least three (3) calendar days prior to the date of intended date of return that they are returning ready, willing and able to work. For leaves of absence thirty (30) calendar days or longer, the Employee must give at least fifteen (15) calendar days advance notice of intent to return to work.
Returning from Leave of Absence. 1. To be eligible to return to work and bid for a line of flying, the Flight Attendant must complete required training, if applicable. If a Flight Attendant requires only Recurrent Training, he/she may bid for the next Bid Period if Recurrent Training is scheduled and a physician’s release has been submitted. If a Flight Attendant does not begin training within 45 days of her/his return from a leave due to the Company’s inability to place her/him in training, beginning on the 46th day the Flight Attendant shall be paid an amount equal to 75 hours at her/his hourly rate. This amount shall be prorated per day based on a thirty (30) day month.
2. If a Flight Attendant has been de-qualified during a leave of absence, she/he will not be assigned a schedule until required training has been completed successfully.
3. A Flight Attendant returning from a Leave of Absence must coordinate her/his schedule with the Inflight Supervisor, and meet with Inflight Manager or Instructor to make certain the Flight Attendant’s manual is current.
4. Upon returning to work from a Leave of Absence, a Flight Attendant at a Base that requires the Flight Attendant to directly purchase an airport parking permit must purchase the parking permit for the first month she/he is returning to work. A request must be submitted via email to Payroll for reimbursement of the parking permit purchased by the last Calendar Day of that month.
5. Flight Attendants who are ineligible to bid due to any medical reason must submit a physician’s release prior to being considered eligible to bid.
6. Returning to Work in the Current Bid Period When a Flight Attendant provides a physician’s release that allows the Flight Attendant to return to work and the return to work date falls within the current Bid Period, the following provisions will apply.
a. If the physician’s release is provided to the Company no later than 1200 (Mountain Time) on the 11th, the Flight Attendant will be eligible to bid for the next Bid Period. For the current Bid Period, the Flight Attendant will be built a Reserve schedule by the Company.
b. If the physician’s release is provided to the Company after 1200 (Mountain Time) on the 11th, the Company will build a Reserve schedule for the Flight Attendant for both the current and next Bid Periods.
