SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OVERTIME. A Saturday and Sunday Overtime list should be posted by 11:00 a.m. Friday and these hours will be accumulated towards each employees’ year to date total. Ask employees on the job, starting with the employee with the least amount of overtime. When all scheduled employees on the job have refused then follow the overtime procedure by asking the employee with the least amount of overtime first to fill the original vacancy. When one man is used for the lift truck and strapper for Saturday or Sunday overtime, the unitizer operator or the lift truck operator with the least overtime shall be asked. A press helper (help feed 326 etc.) will be chosen by starting with the person with the least overtime. For overtime on the presses, consider the same machine first, then move to the other presses giving consideration to those on two shifts first. NOTES When overtime is to be worked Friday 11:40 pm. until Saturday 3:40 am. the scheduled persons on the 3:20-11:40 shift will be asked first. If refused, move up and keep qualified persons with least overtime from the 3:20-11:40 shift. When the vacancy can still not be filled, call qualified persons from the 7-3:20 shift. Overtime for non-scheduled jobs will be filled by qualified employees starting with the employee who is qualified and has the least overtime. Overtime for machine clean-up will be done by asking scheduled employees starting with the least overtime.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OVERTIME. Where overtime is worked on a Saturday or Sunday and subject to agreement being reached between the employer and employee/s concerned, time off may be allowed in lieu of payment for overtime worked. The amount of time off shall be calculated on the basis of the appropriate penalty for Saturday and Sunday work provided for in this Agreement.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OVERTIME. A. Saturday and Sunday overtime will be awarded to the most senior employee(s) in the classification who express interest, then to the most senior employee(s) outside the classification who express interest. B. Unplanned Saturday and Sunday overtime: 1. For overtime which does not exceed two hours, employees in the classification from the off-going shift will be asked to work the overtime in seniority order. 2. If no qualified employees as stated in B1. desire to work the overtime, employees outside classification from the off-going shift will be asked to work the overtime in bargaining unit seniority order, provided employee’s skill, ability, and physical fitness are sufficient to allow the employee to perform the work. 3. For unplanned overtime which is to exceed two hours, overtime will be handled through a shift supervisor as covered in Article VII Section 4C. Employees signed up will be called by bargaining unit seniority provided job qualifications are present.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OVERTIME. Saturday and Sunday overtime will be staffed in accordance with the following: a. The entire plant, department, Track or process may be scheduled negating the need to solicit volunteers. b. Volunteers from employees scheduled for the particular job classification for the week by shift in the following order: First – Senior employee scheduled on that shift on that job for the work week. Second – Senior employee scheduled for other shifts on that job for the work week. c. If an insufficient number of employees volunteer for the work, the junior qualified employee(s) will be required to work subject to the above maximum allowed days and hours of overtime. The foregoing limitations as described in Article III shall not apply to emergency situations beyond the control of the Company, such as equipment breakdowns, fire, flood or Acts of God.

Full-time employees who work on Saturday as their sixth consecutive work day shall receive payment at the rate of time and one-half. For purposes of this section, any holiday falling within the week shall be construed as a work day. For hours worked beyond their regularly scheduled work day on Saturday (7 consecutive hours for full-time white collar employees and 8 consecutive hours for full-time blue collar employees) employees shall receive double time. 2. Full-time employees who work on Saturday as their sixth or Sunday as their seventh (7th) consecutive work day and take scheduled vacation or personal time during that work week will receive time and one-half for Saturday and double time for Sunday. 3. Full-time employees who work on Saturday as their sixth (6th) consecutive work day and call-in sick during this time period may be required to present management, upon return to work, with a doctor's verification of sick time in accordance with the sick leave policy established in this contract. In the event the sick day is not granted, the full-time employee shall be paid straight time for Saturday. 4. For all overtime, full-time employees not regularly scheduled to work on Sunday, shall be paid double time for their normal shift (7 consecutive hours for full-time white collar employees and 8 consecutive hours for full-time blue collar employees), and double time and one-half for all hours beyond their normal shift on a Sunday. 5. Full-time employees regularly scheduled to work on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half for their normal work day (7 consecutive hours for full-time white collar employees and 8 consecutive hours for full-time blue collar employees) and double time in pay for all hours worked beyond Sunday shift. 6. Full-time employees regularly scheduled to work on Sunday and take scheduled vacation or personal time during that work week will receive time and one-half in pay for their normal workday and double time in pay for all hours worked beyond their Sunday shift. 7. Full-time employees regularly scheduled to work on Sunday and call in sick during their work week may be required to present management, upon return to work, a doctor's verification of sick time in accordance with the sick leave policy established in this contract. In the event the sick day is not granted, the employee shall be paid straight time for Sunday.

  • Saturday and Sunday Work (a) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday, the employee will be paid a loading of 50% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period. (b) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday, all employees excluding home care employees will be paid a loading of 75% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period. (c) Casual employees will be paid in accordance with Clauses 35(a) and 35(b). The rates prescribed in Clauses 35(a) and 35(b) will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the casual loading prescribed in Clause 12.5(b). (d) These extra rates will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the shift penalties prescribed at Clause 38 Shiftwork.

  • Saturday and Sunday Work Week: Five (5) consecutive days per week, Sunday to Saturday. Work Day: Seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours per day. Any shift starting after 12:01 p.m. will receive a shift premium in accordance with Article 13.01 ii).

  • Payments Due on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays If the date of maturity of interest on or principal of the Securities of any series or the date fixed for redemption or repayment of any such Security shall not be a Business Day, then payment of interest or principal need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date of maturity or the date fixed for redemption, and no interest shall accrue for the period after such date.
