SICK LEAVE/FUNERAL LEAVE. Section 1: Ten (10) days of sick leave per year with full pay shall be granted to each teacher at the beginning of each school year. However, in the event of termination, sick days shall be prorated one day per month worked. Sick leave must be utilized in a minimum of one-half (½) day increments unless the teacher’s absence can be covered at no additional costs to the School District. For the purpose of specifying the time, ½ AM will be 7:45 – 11:25 and ½ PM will be 11:25 – 3:05. Such sick leave may be used by teachers in case of necessary absence due to:

SICK LEAVE/FUNERAL LEAVE. 27.1.. Effective the first day of the month following the date of hire, any Employee in the classified or unclassified service shall be granted up to 60 working days of sick leave with full pay (paid sick leave) for each calendar year, except that such minimum requirement shall not be applicable in connection with any illness or injury arising out of and in the course of employment by the City. When an Employee is unable to report for duty for any of the reasons specified in Article 27.3, the Employee shall immediately report such fact to their immediate supervisor. To qualify for sick leave, the Employee must report off at least thirty (30) minutes prior to their starting time, but must immediately report off when leaving their duties.
SICK LEAVE/FUNERAL LEAVE. 1. All employees shall earn and accrue paid sick leave and the basis of one (1) day per month of service with a maximum accrual of one hundred (100) work days.

Sick leave payment shall not exceed the normal scheduled work day or work week earnings. Once a year after an employee has accumulated over one thousand ( 1,000 ) hours of sick leave, said employee can cash out up to four hundred ( 400 ) hours of accumulated sick leave not to go below one thousand ( 1,000 ) hours. The employee may take a check on a separate draft issued the first full pay in May once a year, this check will be issued on a separate draft or said employee may opt to have the time added into deferred comp. Sick leave shall be granted to an employee upon approval of the Employer and for the following reasons;

SICK LEAVE/FUNERAL LEAVE. 19.01 After ninety (90) calendar days of employment each regular employee will be credited with thirty (30) hours of sick leave and will accumulate ten (10) hours of sick leave per month thereafter until the first January 1st following the completion of ninety (90) calendar days of employment. Of the initial thirty (30) hours of sick leave, fifteen (15) hours shall be available for use under the general provisions of the sick leave policy; fifteen (15) hours are pooled for use in the Short Term Disability Plan. Thereafter, each ten (10) hours of sick leave per month shall be divided equally, with five (5) hours available for use under the general provisions of the sick leave policy and five (5) hours pooled for use in the Short Term Disability Plan.
