Sick Leave Severance Pay. Upon termination of employment in good standing, with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of continuous service with the Colchester Public Schools, twelve month employees shall receive twenty-five (25%) percent of all accumulated unused sick days based on salary at the time of severance. This benefit shall not be available to employees hired on or after July 1, 1999.
Sick Leave Severance Pay. Employees who retire from City employment under the provisions of the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) shall receive fifty percent (50%) of their accumulated sick leave in terminal pay, not to exceed a maximum of 528 hours. This severance pay will be made to the estate of any eligible employee who dies while an active City employee. No money will be paid for any hours remaining in the employee’s sick leave bank.
Sick Leave Severance Pay. Upon retirement (as defined by the State Teacher Retirement Act) or death, a Xxxxxxx teacher with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of service with LEARN will receive, or such teacher’s estate will receive, a severance payment based on twenty-five percent (25%) of the teacher’s then accumulated sick leave days to a maximum of 150 days, based on the teacher’s current salary at the time of retirement or death. In order to be eligible for this sick leave severance pay, the teacher must have been employed by LEARN on June 30, 2012 and must provide written notice of retirement on or before November 1 of the school year at the end of which the retirement will be effective.
Sick Leave Severance Pay. 15.1. Members shall be entitled to receive, on retirement or permanent disability, full pay for one-half (½) the number of days standing to their credit as accumulated sick leave, provided that no member shall receive pay for more than one-half (½) year’s earnings at the rate received immediately prior to termination of employment.
15.2. On termination of employment, severance pay will be paid out of sick leave credits on the following basis:
(a) payment of fifty percent (50%) of accrued sick leave credits to members with five
Sick Leave Severance Pay. 12.1 Every regular Unit Member shall be entitled to accrue one and one-fourth (1-1/4) days of sick leave per calendar month throughout the calendar year unless on unpaid leave of absence. The administration shall be responsible for making reasonable attempts to obtain substitutes to cover AM/PM and other midday absences or routes/trips for Members on sick leave. Unit members may use sick leave in increments of a full day or one-half day if the driver only has an a.m./p.m. block, and otherwise in one- third day increments. Unused sick leave shall be cumulative to three hundred and fifteen (315) days. A paid holiday shall not be charged against the earned sick leave of a regular Unit Member.
12.2 Sick leave with pay may be used only for absence due to:
A. The member’s personal illness, injury, or exposure to contagious diseases, which could be communicated to other employees or students.
B. Illness injury, or death of a member of the unit member’s immediate family. For the purposes of this Section, “immediate family” is defined as father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, child, grandchild, parent-in-law, or any member of the household who has stood in the same relationship with the Member as any of the above. The member of the immediate family must reside in the home of said Member or live alone outside the home of said Member, and be without a caregiver. For death in the immediate family, the immediate family is defined as the death of the mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, xxxxxx, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, grandson, granddaughter, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, legal guardian or xxxxxx or stepparents of the said Member.
1. If a Unit Member is absent not more than three (3) consecutive work days, the Unit Member must report the absence required by this Agreement in order to be eligible for sick leave with pay for such absence.
2. If a Unit Member is absent in excess of three (3) consecutive work days or the supervisor notes a repeated pattern of absence (e.

14.2. On retirement or upon voluntary resignation after five (5) years’ continuous service, members covered by this agreement shall be entitled to a lump sum payment equivalent to the value of one-half the number of days standing to their credit as accumulated sick leave but, in any event, not in excess of the amount of one-half year’s earnings at the rate received immediately prior to termination of employment. This article shall not apply when a member is discharged or if resignation is accepted in lieu of discharge. (2009)
14.3. In the event of death, the estate or beneficiary of a member shall be paid one-half the number of days of accumulated sick leave, not to exceed one-half (½) year’s earnings, at the rate received by the member immediately prior to termination of employment. Payment of the salary or wage referred to in this article shall be paid to the member’s estate or beneficiary upon the filing of a satisfactory release with the City Treasurer.
Sick Leave Severance Pay. 1. Subject to the limitations contained in Article VIII, Section G(3), a certified school employee and teacher that provides proper notice of the intent to retire, that is at least fifty-five (55) years old, has at least fifteen (15) years of teaching experience, and of which the last ten (10) years of teaching experience has been with the School Corporation, shall be eligible to receive eighty dollars ($80.00) per day for each day of the accumulated unused sick leave days that the certified employee and teacher has at the time of retirement. The eligibility to receive the Severance Pay, the method of paying Severance Pay, and the type of payment that will be made to the retiring certified school employee and teacher is explained in more detail in Article VIII, Section G(3)(a), Section G(3)(b) and Section G(3)(c).
Sick Leave Severance Pay. Xxxx leave severance pay will be based upon sick leave. The school district will make a severance payment of accumulated sick leave for certified employees who terminate their employment, but the payment will not be payable, to those employees who are dismissed for cause. The payment will be made in the following manner.
a. $10.00 per day for unused accumulated sick leave for teachers who have been employed for four (4) years or less
b. $15.00 per day for unused accumulated sick leave for teachers who have been employed for five (5) years or more.
Sick Leave Severance Pay. Each teacher leaving the district will be paid twenty‐five dollars ($25) per day of unused accumulated sick leave, provided the teacher has taught in the district for three consecutive years. Accumulated sick leave does not include days contributed to the sick leave bank.

14.3. In the event of the death of a member of the Kingston Police, there shall be paid to a designated beneficiary, if any, or otherwise to the estate, an amount computed on the same basis and in the same manner as in article 14.2. (2014)
