Student Illness Clause Samples
The Student Illness clause outlines the procedures and responsibilities when a student is unable to attend classes or fulfill obligations due to illness. Typically, it requires the student or their guardian to notify the institution promptly and may specify acceptable forms of documentation, such as a doctor's note, to verify the illness. This clause ensures that both the student and the institution have clear expectations regarding absences due to health issues, helping to manage attendance records and maintain fairness in academic or administrative processes.
Student Illness. Students should not be sent to school with fever, vomiting, or diarrhea. Students who become ill at school will remain in the office while a parent/guardian is contacted. In order to avoid exposing other students to germs, students who are ill should be picked up immediately after parent notification. Students who have been sick may not return to school until they have been symptom free of fever, vomiting, or diarrhea for 24 hours without medication in order to prevent the spread of illness.
Student Illness. In the event a student has an accident (for example, becomes sick to his/her stomach on the bus) the district will send another bus for the bus driver and students to transfer onto when requested and another bus is available and the transportation director/designee is available. A bus driver may return to the bus barn and switch buses if short distance warrants. The bus driver will continue the run. The bus will be cleaned by the Transportation Supervisor/designee who has the proper training for cleaning.
Student Illness. Whenever a child is sent home from school due to illness, the administration shall make effort to inform the appropriate teacher, or where applicable, the appropriate homeroom teacher. Any homeroom teacher so informed shall then inform all other teachers who would expect the child's attendance.

Student Illness. The House Manager should be aware of any resident in the house who is ill. House Managers should inform their Supervisor of students who are missing class or who have left because they are ill. The Student Life office x3142 will assist in notifying faculty members and College work supervisors that a student has been ill and is expected to miss class. When a student has been ill in the house and missed classes, please inform the student of the following: o It is the student’s responsibility to inform each instructor of his or her illness. o Only the instructor has the authority to excuse a student when a class is missed. o Notes explaining a student’s absence should be provided by a physician.
Student Illness. The nurse will decide when a child should be sent home for illness or injury. Parents should notify the nurse of any contagious disease or illness immediately. Students must be symptom free for twenty-four hours after fever (without the aid of fever-reducing medication such as Tylenol) before returning to school. The nurse should be informed of any health issue at the beginning of the school year. Current health forms are maintained in the nurse’s office. These forms must be on file at the start of the school year and are required before any student can participate in PE or go on field trips. Health forms must be updated annually. All students must have an up-to-date Alabama immunization certificate (Blue Card) before the beginning of the school year. If your child’s Alabama immunization certificate (Blue Card) has expired you must obtain a current one at your physician’s office or the Madison County Health Department, located at ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Drive – ▇▇▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇. Failure to submit a current Alabama immunization certificate (Blue Card) could result in a delay or interruption of your child’s enrollment in school. In the early fall of each year, the school asks for your help in meeting a predetermined ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Fund goal. Gifts to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Fund are directly responsible for providing the opportunities that make ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ a special place for enthusiastic young people. Above and beyond the level provided by tuition, parents and friends of the school play a critical role in the progress of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ through gifts to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Fund and participation in Under the Christmas Tree Market, which also directly supports the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Fund. Our fundraising efforts – ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Fund and Under the Christmas Tree Market – are volunteer-sponsored and generated. The school encourages all parents to be participants in these activities essential to the future of the school. Through the philanthropy and energy of supportive parents, the school pursues a range of possibilities for growth and innovation to support the mission of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.
