Supervisory Training. A joint Labor/Management Committee designated by the parties will meet periodically to discuss the State’s Supervisory Unit training program and its operations, including input on application process, scheduling of courses, special conferences and seminars and curriculum options. Unit employees with recall rights under the RIF Article may register to participate in the training programs without charge to the employee.
Supervisory Training. The County will provide training to all supervisors on establishing reasonable suspicion and the nature of alcohol and drug dependency. Supervisors who have not been trained will not have the authority to direct employees to be tested on the basis of reasonable suspicion of being under the influence.
Supervisory Training. The Employer agrees to provide supervisory training to assist supervisors in identifying illegal drug use by members. All supervisors shall receive at least two (2) hours of initial skill-building and information sharing sessions, with at least one (1) hour of training occurring within a reasonable timeframe of a current member becoming a supervisor or from the date of hire of a supervisor. In subsequent years, supervisors who have already received two (2) hours of initial training, will receive two (2) hours of additional training to serve as a refresher and address new concerns. This training shall be conducted by a qualified trainer holding one of the following credentials: • Substance Abuse Professional (SAP); • Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP); • Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDC III); • Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS); • Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC). The training shall cover the following subjects: • The physical, behavioral, and the performance indicators of drug use/abuse; • The effects of drug use/abuse; • Recognizing performance deficiencies caused by drug use/abuse; • Confronting members with suspected drug use/abuse.
Supervisory Training. Those supervisors who are responsible for determining reasonable suspicion shall receive training on alcohol misuse and training on drug use. The training shall include the physical behavior, speech and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and use of drugs.
Supervisory Training. The County and the Union agree that training for supervisors in this Unit shall be made available during the term of this MOU. This training shall include a minimum of four (4) sessions per year. Attendance may be by mutual agreement or at the direction of management. The County Training Officer will send County-developed training program announcements to the Union for U.S. Mail distribution to Unit members. This article will not apply during the term of this MOU because of the County's inability to pay for such training due to economic conditions.

Supervisory Training a. Two (2) representatives of the Union may audit County supervisors training programs and make recommendations to the County's Training Officer and/or the Director of Personnel Services regarding proposed changes. b. Elected representatives, and/or group representatives, within their assigned areas of responsibility may also discuss training needs with departments.
Supervisory Training. 225. MPD will require that supervisors provide close and effective supervision to: a. Establish and enforce throughout MPD the expectation that officers will police in a manner that is consistent with statutory and constitutional law, and MPD policy; b. Provide leadership, counseling, direction, and support to officers as needed; c. Lead efforts to increase public trust; d. Respond to, document, review and investigate stops, searches, citations, arrests, uses of force, and other officer conduct as required by MPD policy; e. Identify potential misconduct and performance issues so that they are adequately addressed as required by MPD policy; and
Supervisory Training. Any individual designated to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require a covered employee to undergo a drug or alcohol test under this policy will be required to receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and 60 minutes of training on drug use. This training will cover the physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and prohibited drug use.
