Terminal Vacation. Accumulated vacation may not be used immediately prior to retirement in order to extend the date of retirement, but shall instead be paid out in full upon retirement.
Terminal Vacation. An employee shall be compensated for accumulated vacation upon termination at his current rate of pay if he had been in the employ of the District for more than one year.
Terminal Vacation. Employees who have one (1) or more years of seniority and are terminated or resign with adequate notification will be paid for up to twenty-five (25) days of accrued vacation based on the individual’s seniority set forth in Section 2 of this Article. Employees who retire may be paid up to forty (40) days of accrued vacation.
Terminal Vacation. Principals/Assistant Principals who retire their position will receive pay at their daily rate for unused vacation to a maximum of seventy-five (75) days payable to the Anoka-Hennepin Special Pay Plan. Principals/Assistant Principals who resign their position will receive pay at their daily rate for unused vacation to a maximum of fifty-five (55) days. For purposes of unrequested leaves of absence, Principals/Assistant Principals who are no longer included in the bargaining unit will be treated the same as Principals/Assistant Principals who resign their position; Principals/Assistant Principals who remain included in the bargaining unit (twelve-month to ten-month positions) shall retain unused vacation for use when he/she returns to a twelve month position. Principals/Assistant Principals who are terminated during his/her probationary period shall be treated the same as Principals/Assistant Principals who resign their positions. Principals/Assistant Principals terminated for cause shall not be eligible for unused vacation.
Terminal Vacation. If an employee resigns, he/she shall be paid unused vacation earned up to one year’s annual accrual. If an employee retires, the employee may be paid for up to 25 days of earned but unused vacation. If terminated for just cause, employees shall not be eligible for any vacation pay off.
Terminal Vacation. An employee who is in good standing and who is entitled to vacation days with pay when his/her contract with the Board of Education is terminated shall be granted those days of vacation with pay (not to exceed one and one-half (1 1/2) years of earned vacation credit), provided the employee gives written notice of his/her intention to resign to the employer at least two full weeks prior to the beginning of the proposed terminal vacation, and provided the vacation days are taken before the effective date of the resignation.
Terminal Vacation. A full‐time employee, upon terminating employment, who has been employed more than one
(1) full year, is entitled to the proportionate amount of annual vacation time due him/her according to the regular vacation schedule. An employee, upon leaving, who has not been employed one (1) full year, is not entitled to a terminal vacation with pay. A pro‐rated vacation without pay may be taken after six (6) months' full‐time employment. No vacation time will be paid prior to a year of service.
Terminal Vacation. Any employee entitled to an annual vacation who voluntarily terminates his or her employment with the Board of Education, or who enters upon an officially approved leave of absence extending beyond the June 30 next ensuing, and who would be entitled to a regular vacation at the next vacation period, or who has unused days of absence due him by reason of service during the preceding year, may apply for terminal vacation pay instead of vacation time and such pay shall be at the employee’s daily rate of pay.
Terminal Vacation. If employment is severed either through resignation, layoff or dismissal, the employee shall receive terminal vacation pay on the basis set forth in clauses covering vacations, pro-rated from the date of vacation computation; however, in no event shall such terminal vacation pay exceed one year’s annual vacation accrual. Employees who, for program reasons, are denied by management the opportunity to take their vacation, may carry over into the next year such additional vacation, as they were not able to take. Notwithstanding the foregoing, employees who, prior to February 1, 1990, had vacation balances in excess of one year’s accrual, shall be red circled, and, as such, may be paid for any unused vacation upon termination. If on a resignation no proper notice is given as called for by Article VIII, the employee shall not be eligible to receive pay for unused accrued vacation time.
Terminal Vacation. Employees who have completed six (6) months of employment and subsequently terminate employment will be paid for unused vacation time that has been earned through the last day of work. Failure to give notice of resignation as provided in Section 27.1 without valid reason will result in forfeiture of fifty percent (50%) of accrued vacation.
