UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT.
23.01 Where a Department requires an employee to wear a uniform or laboratory coat it shall be the University's responsibility to supply and launder such clothing. The University shall also supply such protective equipment as it deems necessary.
23.02 Employees who have been instructed by their Department to wear safety footwear will receive, on the presentation of a receipt, up to one hundred and ninety ($190.00) per calendar year toward the purchase of a pair of approved safety footwear. In a few cases, a work event may cause sufficient damage to a pair of boots to warrant replacement. Typically, these are one-time events, such as a chemical spill, that damages a boot or a cut or puncture to a boot caused by an equipment failure or other extreme event. Daily wear and tear on the boot does not qualify the wearer for a replacement pair under this article until the next calendar year. The Department will inspect the damaged boots for a safety compromise then will authorize a second reimbursement, on the presentation of a receipt, up to one hundred and ninety ($190.00) . Upon receiving such a payment the employee will not be eligible for any other safety footwear payments offered by the Employer for 12 months following the purchase of the replacement.
23.02.1 Employees who have received money for safety footwear will be required to wear this footwear on the job.
23.03 The Department may require an employee to purchase safety lenses in their prescription glasses because of the nature of the position. In this case, the department will reimburse the employee to a maximum of $150, once every 2 years, for the replacement or repair of those prescription safety glasses.
23.03.1 The employee will, if requested, leave any protective equipment, glasses or footwear covered under this article, and 100% paid for by the employer, at the University workplace during non-working hours.
UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. If an employee is required by the County or by law to wear a uniform, protective clothing, or any type of protective device, such uniform, protective clothing or device shall be furnished, and paid for by the Employer.
(a) The Employer shall maintain, at its expense, coveralls, rain gear, aprons, rubber boots, gloves or other suitable apparel for employees working with materials that will soil clothing beyond normal home laundry capabilities
(b) Regular employees whose work is done primarily outside of the Central Office, shall receive a uniform allowance. Boots suitable for work assignments and high enough to cover the ankle shall be worn by these employees at all times while on the job.
1. Regular employees who have maintained full-time status for the entire preceding calendar year shall receive an annual uniform allowance in the amount of three hundred dollars ($300.00) for the purchase of jackets and boots. The annual allowance shall be paid to each eligible employee on the payday following January 1st of each year of this Agreement.
2. Upon completion of probation, full-time regular employees shall receive the allowance in a pro rata amount based on the number of full months of service remaining in the calendar year. The pro rata allowance shall be paid to the employee on the payday following completion of the probationary period.
UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. As part of the employer’s commitment to quality and safety in the workplace, the employer will provide the employee with all uniforms and protective equipment as required. The employee will adhere to safety procedures, wear protective clothing and use the protective equipment at all times when performing their job. The employee will be required to maintain the uniform and protective equipment in accordance with the employer’s hygiene standards and will be responsible for its care and safe keeping. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in appropriate discipline and employee counselling. The employer will provide all employees with replacement items as necessary, as a result of reasonable use and wear, or damage. All equipment issued in accordance with this clause will remain the property of the employer and will be returned to the employer on demand and in the event of termination of employment. The employee and the employer agree that this provision excludes the operation of protected conditions about monetary allowances for matters dealt with in this clause.

(b) Regular Full-Time employees, who have completed initial probation and whose work is done primarily outside of the Central Office, shall each have an annual allowance of three hundred dollars ($300.00) per calendar year for purchase of jackets and boots. The annual allowance shall be paid to each eligible employee January 1st of each year of this Agreement. Also, work boots shall be worn by these employees at all times while on the job.
UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. If any employee is required to wear a uniform or personal protective equipment (PPE) as a condition of employment, such uniform and PPE shall be furnished to the employee by the City and all rules governing uniform(s) shall be defined in departmental policy. Supplied uniforms and PPEs shall remain the property of the City. Purchases shall not be made for any items defined herein without prior approval of the employee's supervisor. In addition, the parties agree that the City shall have the right to require that items covered by this paragraph be repaired prior to their being replaced.
UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. The Board shall provide employees with necessary protective equipment, in adequate condition consistent with procedure and as required by policy and law. The Board shall provide the following for maintenance/trade employees: five (5) shirts and five (5) pants each year, and gloves as required. Employees provided uniforms are required to wear them. The College shall approve the color and style of uniforms. Such employees will be provided coveralls and rain gear, as needed, for outdoor wear. The Board shall provide the following for Health/Safety/Security Patrol Officers: five (5) summer, three (3) winter uniforms, and one (1) winter coat for each health/safety/security patrol officer. The College shall replace the uniforms as needed. The Board shall provide the following for custodial/grounds/maintenance employees: five (5) shirts and five
UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. If an employer requires an employee to wear a uniform or special clothing, the employer must provide, clean and maintain it at no cost to the employee. Special clothing is clothing that is easily identified with the employer; for example, clothing with a company logo or A dress code (no jeans, no cut-offs, dark clothing, business casual) is not a uniform. If an employee is required to clean and maintain such uniform or special clothing, the employer shall reimburse any related costs. The employer will supply suitable protective equipment to employees required by the employer to wear same.
UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. 15.1 We will provide the following items of uniform to you at the commencement of your employment with us:
UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. The Board shall provide employees with necessary protective equipment, in adequate condition consistent with procedure and as required by policy and law. The Board shall provide the following for Public Safety officers: One (1) protective vest, Level IIIA or higher, ten (10) shirts, five (5) pants, one (1) winter coat, two (2) embroidered polo shirts and all other items currently provided by the College. Any changes in the equipment to be issued must be negotiated with the Union. The College shall approve the color and style of uniforms. The College shall replace the uniforms as needed. The College shall provide the employee’s weapon. The employee may purchase and carry their own weapon as long as the weapon meets standards sets by the Chief of Police.
UNIFORMS AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. A. The Employer shall provide and maintain all required special protective equipment. The Employer shall also provide and maintain necessary foul weather gear for Animal Control employees. Foul weather gear for Recreation and Maintenance shall be Two Hundred Fifty and No/100 ($250.00) Dollars per year, paid to each employee in July, except new hires who shall receive the Two Hundred Fifty and No/100 ($250.00) Dollars within thirty (30) days after their date of hire. The Employer shall deduct a prorata amount from the employee’s paycheck if the employee is not employed for twelve (12) months. This provision shall take effect after the contract is executed by the parties. In 1995, the County shall also provide its maintenance and custodial staff with four (4) wash and wear pant and four (4) wash and wear shirts, to be maintained by the employees, which will be replaced on an as-needed basis.
