WORKWEEK & OVERTIME Clause Samples

The WORKWEEK/OVERTIME clause defines the standard number of hours an employee is expected to work each week and outlines the conditions under which overtime pay is applicable. Typically, it specifies the regular workweek (such as 40 hours) and details the rate of pay for hours worked beyond this threshold, often at a higher rate like time-and-a-half. This clause ensures both employer and employee have a clear understanding of work expectations and compensation for extra hours, helping to prevent disputes over pay and working hours.
