ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Upon request of the Association, an employee may be granted a leave of absence without pay to perform full-time official duties on behalf of the Association. Such leave of absence shall be for a period of up to one (1) year and may be extended at the request of the Association. Advance approval of the CEO or designee is required for all such leaves of absence or the extension thereof. Requests shall not be unreasonably denied.
ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. 0401 The Board will grant a leave of absence, with compensation, to six (6) Association delegates or alternates for attendance at the Ohio Education Association convention upon three (3) workdays’ advance notice to the Board’s Executive Director of Human Resources, but such leave shall not exceed two (2) workdays per employee in any school year. The Board shall pay for the compensation of any substitute personnel hired for the period of the leave of absence under this paragraph. In addition, the Board will grant the Association President or designee an aggregate of three (3) Association leave days with compensation per school year for members and leaders to attend other conferences and/or activities sponsored by the Ohio Education Association or the National Education Association. The Association agrees to provide at least fourteen (14) days notice of the request for such leave and to assume the cost of registration, lodging, meals and travel.
ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. L26.01 Effective September 1, 2000, upon written request, the Board shall grant a leave of absence to an Employee who has been selected or appointed to a full-time Association position. The leave shall be without loss of salary, seniority or benefits provided the Association reimburses the Board for the supply cost of the leave for the Employee.
ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. 15.01 Upon written request by the Association, which will be submitted seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the requested leave, the Department shall grant leave of absence without pay for up to three (3) employees for the purpose of carrying out business for the Association
15.02 The Association may appoint or elect not more than one (1) employee to attend a convention or conference and such employee shall be granted leave of absence without pay by the Department provided that the requirements of the Department permit.
ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Principals who are elected or appointed to a full-time position of the Association shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence not to exceed 24 months.
ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. 22.1 The Board agrees that one (1) teacher designated by the Association shall, upon written request, be granted a leave of absence for up to three (3) years without pay for the purpose of engaging in Connecticut Education Association activities. Although such leave of absence will not be designated as years of credit on the salary schedule, the Board of Education will insure maintenance of a teaching position for which the teacher is certified and qualified. Such teacher may continue his/her related benefits but shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premiums for such benefits during such leave of absence.
ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Time off duty to attend the following meetings will be granted to the President or an authorized representative of the Association without loss of pay:
A. When attending Labor Management meetings where business of the City of DuPont is directly involved.
B. When attending Association meetings, when such meetings are called at the request of the employer or its duly authorized representative.
C. The Department Head shall authorize time off from duty for attendance by the Association President and/or his designated representative(s) at such meetings or conferences related to the implementation of this agreement where such attendance benefits the City and the Association. For the purposes of this section, "time off from duty" shall mean time during which the Association President and/or designated Representative(s) are unavailable to conduct police business.
D. Association representatives shall be paid for investigating all grievances. If they are on duty they will be granted time to research issues and interview witnesses or complainants.
ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Leaves of absence without loss of wages, benefits, or other privileges to attend meetings, conventions and executive board meetings of the local, city, state, regional, and parent organizations shall be granted to the Association officers, Unit Chairpersons, and elected delegates of the Association, provided that such leaves for State Council meetings shall not exceed two (2) meetings and 150 employee/days per contract year and that such leaves for executive board meetings shall not exceed eight (8) meetings and 150 employee/days per contract year. Time off without loss of wages, benefits, or other privileges shall be granted to Association negotiating committee members for attendance at negotiating sessions and related Association caucuses.
ASSOCIATION LEAVE OF ABSENCE. The County may grant time off, up to a maximum of five (5) working days, to employees for official Association business, so long as the number of employees absent for Association business does not impose an unreasonable burden on the County. Employees must provide adequate notice to the department. All requests for Association leaves must be approved by the employee’s department head. The employee’s accrued vacation and compensatory leaves must be exhausted prior to granting unpaid leave, in accordance with the Personnel Policies and Procedures for unpaid leaves of absence.
