ASSOCIATION RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES. A. Mere membership in the Association or participation in its activities shall not be cause for reprisal of any kind against any member.
B. The following Association officers and/or representatives will be identified by the Association no later than the first day of school each year:

The Board agrees to furnish to the Association in response to reasonable requests from time to time all available information that is in the public domain and is not protected by the Sunshine Law, together with the information which is necessary for the processing of any grievance or in connection with contractual negotiations provided such requests are in writing and specifically describe the information requested.
B. Whenever any representative of the Association or any employee is mutually required by the parties to participate during working hours in negotiations, grievance proceedings, conferences, or meetings, he/she shall suffer no loss of pay.
C. The Association and its representatives shall have access to school buildings at all reasonably hours for meetings provided permission is first obtained from the Superintendent or from the Board Secretary. This permission will not be unreasonable withheld.
D. The Association shall have access to school facilities and equipment, including typewriters, computers/word processors, duplicating machines and all types of audio-visual equipment at reasonable times after first receiving permission from the Superintendent. Permission may not be unreasonably withheld. The Association shall pay for the reasonable cost of all materials and supplies incident to such use and for any repairs necessitated as a result thereof.
E. The Association shall have in each school building, the exclusive use of a bulletin board in each faculty lounge and teachers’ dining room. The Association shall be assigned adequate space on the bulletin board in the central office for Association notices. The location of Association bulletin boards in each room shall be designated by the Association. Copies of all materials to be posted on such bulletin boards shall be given to the building Principal prior to such posting.
F. The Association shall have the privilege of making reasonable use of the interschool mail facilities and school mail boxes for distribution of general Association materials, with full knowledge of the Superintendent and building Principal.
G. The Board may grant excused absences without the loss of pay to the President of the Association, during his/her term of office to attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and conventions of affiliate associations according to reasonable prior notice and the approval of the Superintendent of Schools.

ASSOCIATION RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES. 4.1 In order to facilitate the administration of this Agreement, the Association may be permitted, in addition to other rights expressly set forth herein or provided by statute, the following privileges.
ASSOCIATION RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES. A. The Association recognizes that the basic employer-employee relationship which exists between itself and the Board is not an absolute one but, rather, is a relationship affected by responsibilities and obligations which both parties, in separate and mutual ways, owe to citizens, parents and student.
B. Whenever any representative of the Association or any employee is mutually scheduled by the parties to participate during working hours in negotiations, grievance proceedings, conferences, or meetings, he/she shall suffer no loss in pay.
C. Representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property at all reasonable times, provided that this shall not interfere with or interrupt normal school operations. In the event that allegations are brought against the Association for involving students in matters relating to this contract, which interfere with normal school operations, the matter may be brought before an impartial arbitrator who may impose a fine of up to $1,000, if on the basis of the evidence, he/she sustains the charge. The losing party shall pay the full cost of the arbitrator's fees in said case.
D. Subject to Board of Education policy and the approval of the Building Principal, the Association may use appropriate rooms for meetings, in a school building after school hours and until 5:00 p.m. Rooms may be used for evening meetings after prior approval of the Building Principal.
E. The Association may use no school equipment unless approval of the Principal is first obtained. The Association will bear the full cost of equipment repairs associated with its use of school equipment.
F. The Association will use no Board of Education supplies or materials without prior approval of the Building Principal. The Association will pay the reasonable cost of all such supplies and materials used.
G. The Association shall have, in each school building, the exclusive use of a bulletin board in the area of the Association's choice.
H. The Association may use the school mailboxes for distribution of Association related materials, provided such use does not impede normal Board of Education procedures. Copies of materials to be distributed by the Association shall be given to building administrative personnel.

B. The Association and its representatives shall have the right to use school buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings upon Principal's approval.
C. The Association shall have the privilege of using school equipment with the permission of the Principal at the close of the regular school day when it is not being used for school purposes. The Association agrees that only experienced operators will use the equipment and that the Association will pay the cost of all materials and supplies. It is further understood that the use of school equipment shall be limited to that which is necessary for the preparation or reproduction of official Association communications or notices.
D. The Association shall have in each school building, a bulletin board in a designated faculty lounge. The Association will also be assigned by the Principal space on the bulletin board in the main office for Association notices. Copies of all materials to be posted on such bulletin boards shall be furnished to the building Principal and shall be posted upon approval by the building Principal.
E. The Association shall have the right to use the school mailboxes.

B. The rights and privileges of the Association and its representative as set forth in this Agreement shall be granted only to the Association as the exclusive representative of the employees.
C. The Association shall be granted the privilege to use the following school equipment: classroom computers, word processors, copiers, telephone, electric typewriter and school mailboxes. The Association shall pay for the cost of all materials and supplies incident to such use, and for any repairs necessitated as a result thereof.
D.1. The Association shall be responsible for interpreting the provisions of this Agreement to its members.
D.2. Nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed to limit or restrict the Board or the Association in their rights to seek and obtain such judicial relief as they may be entitled to have in law or in equity for injunction or damage or both, in the event of a breach of contract by the Association, its members or the Board.
ASSOCIATION RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES. A. The Board recognizes the rights, duties and responsibilities of the Association towards all unit employees in protecting their terms and conditions of employment.
B. Representatives of the Association, the Middlesex County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association, and the National Education Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property at all reasonable times. The Association and its representatives shall be permitted to use school buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings. Any such use of school buildings shall be without interference with or interruption in normal school operations and with advance approval by the Superintendent. The Association shall reimburse the Board any extra custodial labor cost required for such use.
C. Upon approval of the Building Principal and/or the Superintendent, the Association shall be permitted to use school equipment, including typewriters, photocopying equipment, computers, calculating machines, and all types of audiovisual equipment at times approved by the Building Principal. The Association shall supply all materials and supplies incident to such use.
D. The Association shall have, in each school building, the use of a bulletin board in each faculty lounge and employees’ dining room. Copies of all materials to be posted on such bulletin boards must be approved by the Association and given to the Building Principal and Superintendent.
E. The Association shall have the right to use of the school mail boxes within each school building as it deems necessary, consistent with applicable law, and without the approval of building Principals or other members of the administration. The Association building representatives shall be responsible for the distribution. A copy of all general distributions made by the Association shall be simultaneously provided to the building principal.
F. The President of the Association, or designees, shall be granted a total of ten (10) Association days subject to the personal day policy contained in Article 20.
G. 1. When the President of the Association is a high school or middle school teacher, the President will have back-to-back teaching periods and a planning period during the first three periods of the school day.
ASSOCIATION RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES. D. The Association shall be provided with copies of minutes of official Board meetings as soon as possible after such meetings. A copy of the official agenda of the meeting shall be given to the Association prior to said meeting.

The College agrees to furnish to the Association in response to reasonable requests made by the Association from time to time, available public information concerning the College which the Association may require in connection with negotiations. Nothing herein contained shall impose any obligation on the part of the College to disclose any information which may be classified as privileged and/or confidential.
