Buddy System. The Buddy System will be required when employees are working in environments as follows:
Buddy System. You must ALWAYS be with at least one other person if you leave your room. We require at least three people in groups when going to eat. Make sure if you leave to do anything, you have a buddy with you. NO exceptions. (That means if you want to go to the vending machines or get something to drink, or walk to your parent’s room bring someone with you).
Buddy System. This will set f xxxx the basic guidelines to be followed by management when as signing jobs and giving consideration for the need to utilize the "Buddy System." By definition a "Buddy" is another person who can respond to unexpec xxx c ircumstances and summon help or render assistance when someone is injured, disabled or trapped. The "Buddy" question for the most part only arises when work tasks are assigned to a s xxxxx individual. Occasions do occur where teamed (2 people) crews, because of the geography, are g iven jobs which would normally require one man. This practice will continue when practical, but should no t be considered precedent setting.
Buddy System. The employees shall be permitted to continue the present practice of the "Buddy System". An employee may arrange, prior to his/her scheduled starting time, and with approval of the Shift Officer in Charge regarding qualifications of the replacement, to call in a replacement in his/her place.
Buddy System a. In case an employee has used all of his sick leave and is a member in good standing with Local 504, the qualified member may work his shift for a period of one year. If after completion of this one year period the employee is still unable to return to work, his case may be reviewed by Local 504 and if determined he would be back in six months the members may work another six months for the employee.
