Compensation for Holidays on Saturday or Sunday. When any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday, and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, one (1) other day mutually agreed upon by the Union and the Employer shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this Agreement.

Compensation for Holidays on Saturday or Sunday. When any of the above noted paid holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday the University shall grant employees a day in lieu on either the Friday preceding or the Monday following the actual holiday. Where Christmas/Boxing Day fall on a Saturday/Sunday, the days in lieu shall be Monday and Tuesday.

Compensation for Holidays on Saturday or Sunday. When any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday and is not declared or proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the previous Friday or the following Monday (or the previous Friday or the following Tuesday, where the preceding Monday is your normal day off) shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this Agreement. The Employer shall make every effort to schedule either Christmas Day or New Year's Day off for employees so requesting. If a statutory holiday occurs within an employee's vacation period, an extra day's vacation will be allowed for each statutory holiday so occurring. All employees scheduled to work on any of the statutory holidays as listed in Article shall not have their normal hours of work reduced.

Compensation for Holidays on Saturday or Sunday. When a public holiday, as defined in the Employment Standards Act, 2000 falls on a day that is not ordinarily a working day for an employee, the parties agree that in accordance with the Employment Standards Act, 2000, hourly employees will receive holiday pay for the holiday, in lieu of a substitute holiday. The parties understand and agree that the salary of all salaried employees is inclusive of any public holiday pay for a holiday that is not ordinarily a working day.
