Manhours for construction assistance anticipate a four-month construction duration at 7.5 hours per month. 1. There will be a single preliminary drawing submittal to LA. STATE will not receive preliminary drawings. a. Three 11-inch x 17-inch drawing sets will be distributed to LA. 2. There will be a single, concurrent, prefinal drawing submittal to LA and STATE. a. Six 11-inch x 17-inch drawing sets along with specifications will be distributed to STATE. b. Three 11-inch x 17-inch drawing sets along with specifications will be distributed to LA. c. Three Opinions of Probable Construction Cost will be distributed to STATE. 3. The final drawing submittal will incorporate review comments from LA and STATE. 4. There will be a single, concurrent, final drawing submittal to LA and STATE. a. One 22-inch x 34-inch mylar drawing set along with specifications, opinion of probable construction cost, and estimate of time will be distributed to STATE. b. One 22-inch x 34-inch drawing set and one 11-inch x 17-inch drawing set along with specifications, opinion of probable construction cost, estimate of time, quantity calculations, and electronic files (all MicroStation, Excel, and Word files and one PDF of drawings and specifications) will be distributed to LA. 5. Comments received on final drawings from LA and STATE will be addressed and incorporated as necessary into the final submittal. 6. Any additional reviews and drawing submittals will be considered out-of-scope services and a supplement will be necessary.

Construction Assistance. BEN|EN will attend the pre‐construction meeting and will assist the City staff to review any RFI and change order requests. BEN|EN will also perform field reviews during construction as requested by the City. Our team assumes responding to four (4) field visits and four (4) RFI’s.
Construction Assistance. The Consultant shall provide answers to design questions, review and approve cut-sheets and submittals, review cat-track markings in-person, and respond to Requests for Information (RFI’s) submitted to the City during the construction phase. EXHIBIT B APPROVED FEE SCHEDULE In consideration of the Department of Industrial Relations, the rates will be adjusted on the effective dates established by the State and pursuant to the pre-determined escalation rates. Under no circumstances are expenses related to entertainment (i.e., theater tickets, sporting events, etc.) or personal services (i.e., dry cleaning, haircuts, etc.) reimbursable.

Construction Assistance. GHD will provide assistance to the County during construction of the project. The work may include responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) by the contractor, providing consultation and interpretation of the contract documents, preparing Contract Change Orders (CCOs), reviewing shop drawings, and attending construction meetings and field visits.
Construction Assistance. Immediately following authorization, the TYLin Team will begin the duties outlined as “Bid Administration and Pre-Construction Assistance.” Primary duties include conducting a thorough constructability review of project plans at the 65%, 90%, and 100% level of completion, creating a Construction Communication Plan, and reviewing all environmental permits and required mitigations. Following advertisement, the team will assist with contractor bid administration, to assure all funding requirements are met in accordance with the Caltrans Local Assistance Manual (LAPM) and the manual of Special Funded Projects. Resident Engineer, Xx. Xxxxx and Xxxxxxxxxx and Claims expert, Xxxx Xxxxxx, PE will lead the constructability review etfort. Both Xx. Xxxxx and Xx. Xxxxxx have over 30 years of road, highway, bridge, and related construction experience with a diverse range of projects. Every one of these projects has included constructability reviews, whether a formal review prior to the start of work, or an ongoing weekly look-ahead review to anticipate potential contractor problems and solutions. Xx. Xxxxx and Xx. Xxxxxx are intimately familiar with Caltrans standards and specifications and the LAPM. Their reviews will start with a field visit to understand field conditions and include a complete review of project plans, looking for conflict in details, or the constructability of the work within the actual constraints of the site. Additionally, the plans will be reviewed for “bid-ability” to assure the contractor can be confident that the work is clearly defined, the quantities are accurate and all accounted for, thus reducing risk and yielding a lower bid. At times, if a contractor finds an error in the plans, instead of asking for clarification, they will lower a bid, knowing a contract change order will likely be required from which they will benefit. TYLin has already flown the alignment of the project and has captured video and photos of the project footprint with a drone (Figure 3). This information is always valuable when reviewing project plans and determining whether the design intent can be implemented considering actual field conditions that may have changed during plan development.
