Extra Duty Vacancies. The School District shall post notice of all extra-duty vacancies. A copy of the notice, including qualifications and salary shall be emailed to the Association President. The notice shall be posted for a minimum of five (5) calendar days before the vacancy is permanently filled. The Board reserves the right to fill extra- duty vacancies with the most qualified individual whether that individual is from within or without the bargaining unit. Vacancies will be posted on the front door of each building.
Extra Duty Vacancies. Extra duty vacancies shall be offered first to teachers, with preference given to those teachers in which the building vacancy is located. If a vacancy is not filled by the building teachers, the vacancy shall be posted in the District, as is the practice described in Article V, Section A of this Agreement. If the vacancy is not filled by teachers, the vacancy may be offered to persons not covered by this Agreement. This section shall not be applicable to game scorekeepers, bus supervision, lunchroom supervision, chaperoning/supervision, translating, and eighth-grade graduation dance.

The Administration shall post all extra duty vacancies consistent with the procedure set forth in Section 6.2. 2. All bargaining unit members’ written applications shall be acknowledged by the appropriate supervisor. Notification to applicants about the decision to fill the vacancy shall be made in writing as soon as the position has been filled. 3. The Administration shall annually inform the Association President/Co-President of extra duty positions that are filled by non-staff employees. 4. Vacancies occurring during the school year may be filled to avoid undue disruption of the educational program. The procedures in 6. 2.2.1 will be followed to post and permanently staff the position for the next school year. Positions created during the school year will be filled to avoid undue disruption of the educational program.

The activities director shall annually inform the Association President of Schedule B positions that are filled by non-staff employees. 4. Vacancies occurring during the school year may be filled to avoid undue disruption of the educational program. The procedures in 5.2. 2.1 will be followed to post and permanently staff the position for the next school year. Positions created during the school year will be filled to avoid undue disruption of the educational program.
Extra Duty Vacancies. 1. When the Board determines that an extra-duty vacancy exists, the Superintendent shall notify the Association and post the vacancy for ten (10) working days. Teacher applicants from within the District will be interviewed and evaluated. A teacher within the District who meets the qualifications will be selected. Should no teacher meet the qualifications, the position will be re-posted. The District may then select the best qualified applicant from within or outside the District. 2. Positions held by non-teaching and teaching personnel need not be re-posted until there is a vacancy. 3. Evaluation of head coaches shall be conducted by the Athletic Director. Evaluation of assistant coaches shall be conducted by the Athletic Director with input from the head coach. 4. The content of any evaluation is not grievable. If an employee does not agree with the assessment of job performance, the employee may permanently attach a rebuttal to the evaluation before the evaluation is placed in the personnel file. Further, the employee shall be granted the opportunity to have the evaluation reviewed by the evaluator’s immediate supervisor. 5. Should a teacher leave the bargaining unit during the school year, they may remain in the coaching position at the discretion of the Board.
