Full-Time Union Position. If any employee covered by this Agreement is elected or appointed to a full-time position with Teamsters Local Union No. 957 after September 1, 2012, said employee shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence for the length of his or her service with Teamsters Local Union No. 957 in said full-time position. The employee’s record will not be active in the University payroll system but said employee shall receive all benefits he or she is entitled to as an inactive employee. Once the employee is no longer in a full- time position with Teamsters Local Union No. 957, he or she shall be able to return to work to an available vacancy, at the pay and benefits provided for that position at the time of his or her return, and without loss of seniority.
Full-Time Union Position. When an employee covered hereunder is either elected or appointed to a full-time job with the Union, he shall be granted a leave of absence for a maximum period of one (1) year. Such employee shall not be entitled to any of the provisions of this Agreement but shall accumulate seniority during such leave of absences.
Full-Time Union Position. Any Hourly Employee or Owner Operator elected or appointed to a full-time position with the Union shall be granted an indefinite leave of absence without pay provided that thirty
Full-Time Union Position. In the event the Union appoints or elects an employee to a full-time position with the Union, the Company, upon proper notification shall grant a leave of absence, without pay and benefits, not to exceed the life of this Agreement. No more than three (3) such employees may service a JBS facility.
Full-Time Union Position. The Union may designate two (2) Walking Stewards to cover A, B, and C shifts from among the Employer’s employees. These individuals shall have as their job duties the administration of this Agreement, including safety assignments and the processing of grievances. The Employer will pay the Walking Stewards two ($2.00) dollars per hour above the Grade five (5) (“P5”) or their pay grade prior to being designated as a Walking Xxxxxxx, whichever is greater, on an hourly basis. The Employer shall pay, on a bi-weekly basis, upon receiving a signed and dated form from the Walking Xxxxxxx setting forth a summary of the issues addressed and with the status. The Walking Xxxxxxx will punch in and out for attendance purposes. The Walking Stewards will continue to receive benefits on the same terms following their designation as a Walking Xxxxxxx. The Walking Xxxxxxx program shall be reviewed by the Employer and the Union as needed to recommend needed adjustments, if any. If the program has not served the intent and purpose of the Preamble of this Agreement, the Employer may discontinue the program with a thirty
Full-Time Union Position. Upon application by the Union, in writing, the Centre shall give reasonable consideration to a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to full-time Union position. It is understood that not more than one (1) employee may be on such leave at any time. Such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of six (6) months from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties. Seniority and service shall accumulate during such leave to the maximum provided, if any, under the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It will become the responsibility of the employee for full payment for any applicable benefits in which the employee is participating during such leave of absence.
Full-Time Union Position. (a) The Employer will grant an employee a leave of absence without pay or benefits to work in an official full-time capacity for the Union, the Canadian Labour Congress or the Ontario Federation of Labour. During this time period, the employee will continue to accrue bargaining unit seniority, service toward vacation entitlement and advance on the wage grid. Pension plan service shall only accrue if the Employer's contributions are paid by the labour organization. The employee must give the Employer one (1) month notice in writing of such a leave, or of an election that may lead to the need for such a leave and, if operational concerns require it, up to two (2) weeks more notice after the election. No more than one (1) employee may be absent on this leave at any one time. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to reinstate an employee returning from such leave to the same or a comparable position.
Full-Time Union Position. Employees elected to a paid position in the Union shall be granted leave of absence without pay for the term of office. During the leave of absence such employees shall maintain all rights and benefits to they are entitled under the Collective Agreement. The benefits of any group plan shall be extended to such employees and the Union reimburse the Employer for any costs involved. Such employees shall advise the Employer as soon as possible when an extension of the leave of absence is applicable due to re-election. Upon termination of their leave of absence such employees shall be offered as a minimum the position they held with the Employer before they commenced the leave of absence. When such employees wish to invoke this clause of the Collective Agreement they shall provide the Employer with a three month notice of their intent to do so. Notwithstanding Article the Employer may make an offer of employment to such employees to a position inside the Bargaining Unit should such employees bid on a competition and be the candidate. Full-Time Union Position. The Employer shall, on written request, grant leave of absence without pay and without loss of benefits for a period of up to one (1) year, for an employee selected or elected to a full- time position with the Union or with any body with which the Union is affiliated. The period of leave shall be renewed upon request. If the employee remains in the Employer's benefit and pension plan the employee shall be required to pay the employee and Employer's share.
Full-Time Union Position. Where operational requirements permit, the Employer will grant leave without pay to an employee elected to a full-time Union position for the duration of his term of office.
