Meal Provisions. Employees meal periods shall be thirty (30) minutes in length and shall be observed no sooner than one (1) hour prior nor one (1) hour later than midshift of the work shift, but in no event will employees be required to work more than five (5) hours from the start of the shift without a meal period. Employees required to work without a meal period shall be paid one half (½) hour at the applicable overtime. The parties agree that each employee shall have the right to take their lunch and/or break upon request to the Xxxxxxx.

Meal Provisions. If an Employee works four hours or more beyond their regularly scheduled shift a meal will be provided by the Employer. If the meal is required between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. the Employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of a meal not to exceed ten ($10) dollars upon presentation of a receipt.

Where this overtime follows a regular shift the first meal period regardless of when it is actually taken, will be considered to have been taken immediately after the regular shift; iv) where an employee misses a paid meal period to which they are entitled they shall nevertheless be paid at the prevailing rate for such missed meal period in addition to all time worked. c) Where work is prescheduled for normal days off and employees have been notified on the previous working day and work is to commence within 2 hours of the normal starting time, the Company will not be required to provide lunch or pay for a meal time if taken.

Meal Provisions. 33.1 To all tours of duty of seven (7) hours or more a first meal period of sixty minutes shall be scheduled beginning not earlier than the start of the third hour of the tour and ending not later than the end of the sixth hour of such tour. 33.2 Notwithstanding Article 33.1, maintenance technicians, announcers, newspersons, TV operators, TV Operator/ Production Switchers and/or others whose tour of duty does not include a scheduled meal period, shall continue the present practice of receiving inclusive meal breaks in lieu of the first meal period (i.e. eat on the job). It is understood that meals may be eaten at any convenient time during his/her tour of duty. Such employees will continue to be allowed to eat at any reasonable location in the building, operational requirements permitting, but are not allowed to leave the building during inclusive meal breaks. 33.2.1 Employees whose tour of duty is seven (7) or seven and one half (7½) hours shall receive an 33.2.2 Employees whose tour of duty is eight (8) hours shall be paid one half (½) hour at one and one half (1½) times his/her basic hourly rate, in lieu of a scheduled meal break, in addition to their regular eight (8) hours pay. 33.2.3 In addition, where inclusive meal breaks cannot be taken due to operational requirements, such affected employees shall be entitled to claim a maximum of one (1) hour meal displacement, that is one-half (½) hour at his/her basic hourly rate. 33.2.4 Article 33.7 does not apply to inclusive meal breaks received in accordance with Article 33.2. 33.3 A second meal period of not less than thirty
Meal ProvisionsAn Associate required to work for more than ten hours without being notified on the previous day or earlier that the Associate will be so required to work shall be supplied with either a voucher for a main meal and drink at the company’s canteen which may be redeemed at any time or paid a meal allowance as set out in Appendix 1 at the choice of the Associate.
Meal ProvisionsIf an employee, other than a COMCAR Driver, is required to work more than 10 hours on any one day, the employee may provide their own meal at Finance expense. The maximum amount that may be reimbursed to the employee will be as set out in the relevant Taxation Determination for meals and incidentals.
Meal Provisions. 24.1 Part B Employees (Maintenance Trades) 24.1.1 Conditions Governing Allowance for Meals Recognizing the fact that employees are re quired to provide their own meals (except as in 24.1.2) the following conditions will apply: 1. The Company shall not require an employee to carry or provide more than one meal on a day when work is performed. 2. Wherever possible, supervisors shall notify employees who do not normally carry a lunch of the necessity to carry a lunch the following day. 3. If an employee is sent away from headquarters in an emergency without sufficient notice for him/her to provide and take his/her own lunch, the Company will pay the cost of the employee's noon day meal. 4. If an employee is required to cont inue working beyond a normal day, the Company will provide the employee's meal after two (2) hours or more and every four (4) hours thereafter wh ile the employee continues working. 5. If an employee is required to work extended periods of overtime, Monday to Friday inclusive, the Company shall pa y the cost of the employee's meal on approximately a four (4) hour interval basis. 6. If an employee is called out to wo rk extended periods of overtime on Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday s without forewarning, the Company shall pay the cost of the employee's me al on approximately a four (4) hour interval basis. If forewarned, the e mployee shall carry or provide the first meal and the Company shall pay the cos t of any further meals on approximately a four (4) hour interval basis. 7. When overtime has been scheduled in advance, a meal period will be allowed and no time will be paid for this period. When the overtime is not scheduled in advance, no time will be deducted if employees eat at the job site in a minimum of time. 8. In the con ditions outlined in 3., 4 ., 5. and 6., the Company will either bring the meal to the employee or release him/her from duty long enough to secure and eat it. Where necessary, the Company will provide transportation for this purpose. 9. It is recognized that between the hours of midnight and normal starting time, it may not be feasible for the Company to provide a hot meal and the employee may not feel the need for one. In such cases, sandwiches and hot soup or a hot beverage shall be con sid ered as fulfilling the requirement of a meal.
