Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. Subject to paragraph 28.02 (a):
(a) an employee who is required to work on a first (1st)day of rest is entitled to compensation at time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first (1st) seven decimal five (7.5) hours and double (2) time thereafter;
(b) an employee who is required to work on a second (2nd) or subsequent day of rest is entitled to compensation at double (2) time (second (2nd) or subsequent day of rest means the second (2nd) or subsequent day in an unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest);
(c) when an employee is required to report for work and reports on a day of rest, the employee shall be paid the greater of:
(i) compensation equivalent to three (3) hours’ pay at the applicable overtime rate for each reporting to a maximum of eight (8) hours’ compensation in an eight (8) hour period, or
(ii) compensation at the applicable overtime rate;
(d) the minimum payment referred to in subparagraph (c)(i), does not apply to part-time employees. Part-time employees will receive a minimum payment in accordance with clause 60.05.
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. (a) Subject to clause 12.02, an employee who is required by the Employer to report for duty and works on his days of rest shall be compensated for each completed period of fifteen (15) minutes of overtime worked by him on his days of rest;
(b) on the employee’s first day of rest, at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of overtime worked and at the double (2) time rate for each contiguous hour thereafter;
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. Subject to clause 39.3 39.14.1 an employee who is required to work on a first day of rest is entitled to compensation at time and one-half (1 ½) for the first seven decimal five (7.5) hours and double (2) thereafter;
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. Subject to paragraph 28.02 (a):
a. an employee who is required to work on a first (1st) day of rest is entitled to compensation at time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first (1st) seven decimal five (7.5) hours and double (2) time thereafter;
b. an employee who is required to work on a second (2nd) or subsequent day of rest is entitled to compensation at double (2) time (second (2nd) or subsequent day of rest means the second (2nd) or subsequent day in an unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest);
c. when an employee is required to report for work and reports on a day of rest, the employee shall be paid the greater of:
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. (a) Subject to clause 12.02, an employee who is required by the Employer to report for duty and works on his days of rest shall be compensated for each completed period of fifteen (15) minutes of overtime worked by him on his days of rest;

(i) at the basis of double (2) time for each hour of overtime worked. Second or subsequent day of rest means the second or subsequent day in an unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest;
(ii) notwithstanding paragraph (b) and sub-paragraph (c)(i) above, if, in an unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest, the Employer permits the employee to work the required overtime on a day of rest requested by the employee, then the compensation shall be at time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first (1st) day worked. **
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. Subject to clause an employee who is required to work on a first day of rest is entitled to compensation at time and one-half (1 for the first seven decimal five (7.5) hours and double (2) thereafter; an employee who is required to work on a second or subsequent day of rest is entitled to compensation at double (2) time, provided the days of rest are in an unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest and without the requirement of having worked on the first day of rest. notwithstanding sub-clause where at the request of an employee and with the consent of the Council, work to be performed on a first day of rest is rescheduled to be performed on a second or subsequent day of rest, overtime compensation will be paid in accordance with sub-clause When an employee is required by the Council to report for work and reports on a day of rest, the employee shall be paid the greater of: compensation at the applicable overtime rate, compensation equivalent to three (3) hours' pay at the applicable overtime rate for each reporting to a maximum of eight (8) hours compensation, at the straight time rate, in an eight (8) hour period. Overtime shall be compensated by cheque except where, upon the request of an employee and with the approval of the Council, overtime may be compensated in equivalent leave with pay. The Council shall endeavor to pay overtime by cheque by the fourth week after which the employee submits the request for payment The Council shall grant compensatory leave at times convenient to both the employee and the Council. Earned compensatory leave credits that are not used by the end of September of each calendar year shall be liquidated by means of compensation by cheque on the basis of one hour's pay for each hour of compensatory leave credits so liquidated, except that an employee, upon application, shall be permitted to carry over to September of the following calendar year an amount of compensatory leave credits of seven decimal five (7.5) hours or more to a maximum of decimal five (37.5) hours. Compensatory leave credits shall be used prior to the use of any vacation leave credits that have accrued or will accrue to an employee during the fiscal year.
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. Subject to clause (a):
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. (a) Subject to clause 12.02, an employee who is required by the Employer to report for duty and works on his days of rest shall be compensated for each completed period of half (1/2) hour of overtime worked by him on his days of rest:
(i) at time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, and
(ii) double (2) time thereafter.
(b) Subject to clause 12.02, an employee who is required by the Employer to report for duty and works on two (2) or more consecutive and contiguous days of rest shall be compensated at double (2) time for each completed period of half (1/2) hour of overtime worked by him on the second and each subsequent day of rest.
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. The following sub-clauses (a) and (b) apply to employees in the Program and Administrative Group and the Technical Services Group. See alternate provisions for other employees.
(a) an employee who is required to work on a first day of rest is entitled to compensation at time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours and double (2) time thereafter;
(b) an employee who is required to work on a second or subsequent day of rest is entitled to compensation at double (2) time (second or subsequent day of rest means the second or subsequent day in an unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest);
(a) on a first day of rest, after a period of overtime equal to the normal daily hours of work specified in Article 25, and
(b) on a second or subsequent day of rest, provided the days of rest are consecutive, except that they may be separated by a designated paid holiday (second or subsequent day of rest means the second or subsequent day in an unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest), and
(c) where an employee is entitled to double (2) time in accordance with (a) or (b) above and has worked a period of overtime equal to the normal daily hours of work, the employee shall continue to be compensated at double (2) time for all hours worked until he or she is given a period of rest of at least eight (8) consecutive hours. All work performed during a weekend recess shall be paid for at the rate of double (2) time. For the purpose of this clause, weekend recess is defined as commencing at 00:00 hours Saturday morning and ending at 24:00 hours Sunday.
(c) when an employee is required to report for work and reports on a day of rest, the employee shall be paid the greater of:
(i) compensation equivalent to three (3) hours’ pay at the applicable overtime rate for each reporting to a maximum of eight (8) hours’ compensation in an eight (8) hour period, or
(ii) compensation at the applicable overtime rate;
(d) the minimum payment referred to in subparagraph (c)(i), does not apply to part-time employees. Part-time employees will receive a minimum payment in accordance with clause 62.05.
Overtime Compensation on a Day of Rest. Subject to clause 19.04, an employee who is required to work on a day of rest is entitled to compensation at the rate of one point five (1.5) times her hourly rate of pay for the first seven point two five (7.25) hours [effective April 1, 1999: “for the first seven point five (7.5) hours”] and the rate of two (2) times her hourly rate of pay thereafter, except that:
(a) when she is required by the Employer to work on two (2) or more consecutive and contiguous days of rest she shall be compensated on the basis of double (2) time for each hour worked on the second and each subsequent day of rest;
(b) when she is required to report for work and reports on a day of rest, she shall be paid the greater of:
(i) compensation at the applicable overtime rate; or
(ii) compensation equivalent to three (3) hours’ pay at the applicable overtime rate except that the minimum of three (3) hours’ pay shall apply only the first time that she reports for work during a period of eight (8) hours, starting with her first reporting;
(c) the minimum payment referred to in subparagraph (b) (ii) does not apply to part-time workers. Part-time employees will receive a minimum payment in accordance with clause 26.12.
