Overtime Compensation Rates a. Overtime earned as a result of training time or roll-call time shall be compensated for at base salary rates (1X). b. Effective at the beginning of the pay period following execution of the Agreement, overtime earned as a result of court time shall be compensated as follows: (1) Each court appearance less than or equal to two and one-half (2½) hours in duration shall be compensated at one and one-half base salary rates (1½X); however, a minimum of two and one-half hours' pay at one and one-half base salary rates (1½X) shall be granted employees covered by this Agreement when said employees are officially required to appear in court on their own time, provided said employees are excused before completing the two and one-half hour (2½) minimum. (2) Each court appearance greater than two and one-half (2½) hours in duration shall be compensated at one and one-half base salary rates (1½X) for the entire time of such appearance. (3) Notwithstanding the foregoing, within any court appearance, the first hour of court-ordered lunch time shall be unpaid.

Overtime Compensation Rates a. Employees shall be paid time and one-half overtime for: i. Work performed outside of regular working hours exceeding 8 consecutive hours of work Mondays to Fridays with the exception of Article 15.01 b. ii. b. Employees shall be paid double time overtime for: i. Work performed on Saturdays andSundays. ii. Monday mornings 00:0lam to 08:00am iii. All hours of overtime worked in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours of overtime in any contiguous period. iv. time actually worked on a designated holiday (20.01) in addition to their regular salary rate for the designated holiday. An Employee who is eligible to be paid for any of the designated holidays mentioned in Article 20.01 when not regularly worked, may at the option of the Employer, when required to work on such holiday, be paid at regular rates for normal hours worked, and shall be allowed an additional vacation leave with pay of one day for each day or normal hours worked.
Overtime Compensation Rates. (a) Compensation rates for Full-time Employees for Overtime hours worked shall normally be time and one half (1.5) for all hours in excess of their regularly scheduled hours of work, aside from Night Sleep Shifts which are compensated under Article 15.04. (b) Compensation rates for Regular Part-time Employees for Overtime hours shall be: (i) straight time at the Regular Part-time Employees regular rate of pay for all hours worked up to forty-eight (48) hours per week (total of scheduled hours and casual hours); (ii) Time and one half (1.5) the regular rate for hours worked in excess of forty-eight (48) hours per week (total of scheduled hours and casual hours);
Overtime Compensation Rates. (a) Overtime worked shall be compensated at the following rates: (1) time and one-half for the first two (2) hours of overtime on a regularly scheduled work day; and (2) double time for hours worked in excess of (1); (3) double time for all hours worked on a day of rest. The compensation of overtime in (1) and (2) is to be on a daily basis and not cumulative. (b) An employee who works on a designated holiday which is not a scheduled work day shall be considered to have worked overtime and shall receive his/her regular day's pay, and shall receive additional compensation at the rate of double time for all hours worked; except for Christmas and New Year's when the additional compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half for all hours worked. (c) An employee on travel status who is required to travel on the Employer's business outside his/her regular working hours shall be compensated at the applicable overtime rates for all hours traveled. The Employer may determine the means of such travel.
Overtime Compensation Rates. All overtime must be approved in advance by the employee's immediate supervisor and the Director of Campus Operations and Facilities, or the President of the College. All overtime worked in excess of an employee's regular forty (40) hour week shall be paid at one and one-half (1 1/2) times the employee's actual straight time rate of pay for a forty (40) hour week for those overtime hours. Unless the employee's regular shift falls on a Saturday, an employee who works on Saturday shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1 U) times the employee's actual straight-rate of pay for a forty (40) hour week for those Saturday hours worked in excess of the employee’s forty (40) hour week. Unless the employee's regular shift falls on a Sunday, an employee who works on Sunday shall be paid at a rate of two (2) times the employee's actual straight- rate of pay for a forty (40) hour week for those Sunday hours worked in excess of the employee’s forty (40) hour week. Bargaining unit employees shall not perform job related work at their homes or work in excess of regularly scheduled hours unless pre-approval is granted by the employee's immediate supervisor. Under normal circumstances, the compensatory time option is not available to bargaining unit employees. Nothing contained herein shall prohibit the Board from adopting a policy of hours, work days and work week to meet the needs of the College, including but not limited to creating a regular shift that commences Sunday and ends on Thursday to perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the facilities.

  • Overtime Compensation 1. Except as provided in this section, Grantee will be responsible for any obligations of premium overtime pay due employees. Premium overtime pay is defined as any compensation paid to an individual in addition to the employee’s normal rate of pay for hours worked in excess of normal working hours. 2. Funds provided under this Contract may be used to pay the premium portion of overtime only under the following conditions: i. With the prior written approval of System Agency; ii. Temporarily, in the case of an emergency or an occasional operational bottleneck; iii. When employees are performing indirect functions, such as administration, maintenance, or accounting; iv. In performance of tests, laboratory procedures, or similar operations that are continuous in nature and cannot reasonably be interrupted or otherwise completed; or v. When lower overall cost to System Agency will result.

  • Extra Compensation The Board shall pay no fees, other than described above, to the PA/E unless authorized by the Board as follows: A. If the scope of the Project or site is changed, the Board and the PA/E shall negotiate a reasonable fee based upon the probable estimated construction cost in changing the scope of the work and the approximate percentage of the estimated construction cost which was used to negotiate this Agreement if, and, as such may be applicable. B. If the DOE or Board requires the PA/E to make major or costly changes to the Schematic, Preliminary or Construction Document Phase submittals, which changes are not caused by architectural or engineering error or oversight, the PA/E shall be paid to redesign for additional expenses in an amount agreed to by the parties. Under no circumstances will the principals of the PA/E and the principals of his consultants be paid a fee in excess of $125.00 per hour.

  • Annual Compensation The Executive's "Annual Compensation" for purposes of this Agreement shall be deemed to mean the highest level of base salary paid to the Executive by the Employers or any subsidiary thereof during any of the three calendar years ending during the calendar year in which the Date of Termination occurs.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 110.   • Overtime/Compensatory Time A. Employees working assigned, pre-approved time in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be given either overtime pay or compensatory time at the rate of one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate of pay. The name of the supervisor authorized to approve overtime assignments shall be posted in each building. The employee may elect to take either overtime pay or compensatory time off. Holidays, sick leave, personal days, or vacation days shall be included as regular time for purposes of computing overtime. In the event overtime is required, the Assistant Superintendent or his/her designee shall solicit volunteers to fill the overtime positions. In the event no volunteers are available or the volunteers available are unqualified in the opinion of the Assistant Superintendent or designee, overtime may be assigned. Overtime assignments will be made on a rotational basis at each work site to employees who normally do the work assigned. Reasonable advance notice will be given to employees assigned overtime. An employee shall not be called in for snow removal duty sooner than 8 hours following the conclusion of his/her regular shift or any other work performed for the District. B. Only forty-five (45) hours of compensatory time can be earned in a contract year. Use of compensatory time must be approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor. Compensatory time earned must be used during the contract year in which it is earned or cashed in for pay at the rate in effect for the employee at the time the employee receives such payment. Employees who have accumulated more than forty (40) hours of compensatory time at the time of execution of this Agreement shall retain all such accumulated time, provided, however, that such employees shall not be allowed to use more than forty (40) hours in any contract year. All compensatory time must be submitted on a timesheet. C. All overtime worked must be submitted on a timesheet to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. Requests for use of compensatory time off shall be submitted in writing to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. X. Xx employee called in to work on his/her day off will be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate rate. E. The decision to assign overtime will not be based upon an employee’s preference for either compensatory time or overtime pay. F. In the event an employee’s regular permanent assignment requires the performance of duties in more than one job classification, the overtime rate to be used to calculate compensation for the employee for the overtime work shall be the rate of the classification which caused the employee to work such overtime hours.

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION 11.1 The basic salaries of teachers covered by this Contract shall be set in accordance with the procedures set forth in this Agreement. 11.2 The salary of the teacher will be presumed correct as shown in the Uniform Teacher’s Contract unless the teacher or the Employer furnishes evidence of error. 11.3 An explanation as to how contract salary figures are computed will accompany the first paycheck of each school year. 11.4 Basic salaries for teachers shall be paid in twenty-six (26) payments. Basic salaries for teachers shall be paid in twenty-six (26) payments in a given calendar year. Exceptions may be made with the approval of the Cash Flow Committee. A teacher may receive the balance due on his contract with the first scheduled paycheck in July by written notice to the Business Office by May 1. If May 1 occurs on a day that school is not in session, the deadline shall be the next regular school day. A teacher who makes this election shall continue each year to receive the balance due on his contract with the first scheduled paycheck in July unless he notifies the Business Office by May 1 that he prefers to be paid in twenty-six (26) payments. Teachers will be notified by the Cash Flow Committee of the Xxxxxxx Teachers’ Federation prior to June 1 in the event the balance on teachers’ contracts due on the first scheduled paycheck in July cannot be paid. 11.5 New teachers will receive one half (½) of their first pay one payroll in advance and the remaining one half (½) on the next pay date. 11.6 Effective January 1, 2009, teacher pay will be issued via direct deposit only. 11.7 The Superintendent may approve additional compensation for individual teachers who have been authorized by the Superintendent to perform additional work assignments. 11.8 Payroll deductions for teachers shall be made as required by law or as mutually agreed to by the parties. Teachers may authorize deductions for tax-sheltered annuities during open enrollment periods of the carrier companies involved. 11.9 Deductions for daily absences not covered by provisions in the Contract shall be made at the same rate as earned. 11.10 Effective January 1, 1993, the Board shall pay directly to the Indiana State Teachers Retirement Fund each teacher’s three percent (3%) contribution to the fund. 11.11 The parties recognize that the salaries which appear on Regular Teacher’s Contracts and Teacher’s Temporary Contracts will be inaccurate whenever a salary increase is approved after these contracts have been executed. At the time of a teacher’s retirement, the Employer will review these contracts and, when necessary, revise the contracts for the five (5) years of service before retirement in which the teacher’s annual compensation was highest so they accurately reflect the sums which the teacher earned in each of those five (5) years. 11.12 The parties recognize that students are entitled to be taught by fully qualified teachers, while at the same time recognizing a professional responsibility to assist in the preparation of student teachers. Therefore, supervision by a teacher of a student teacher shall be voluntary. No teacher should serve as a supervising teacher more than one-half (1/2) of the total teaching time each year. This provision was not bargained and has been included for informational purposes only. Should 11.13 If the Employer determines that any committee should continue its work during the summer, teachers belonging to the committee performing such services shall be paid on the same basis and in the same manner as summer school teachers. If the Employer determines that professional development should occur in the summer, specific teachers invited to participate shall be paid on the same basis as summer school teachers.
