POSTING OF VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS. 10:01(a) When a vacancy occurs or promotion occurs or a new position is created within the Bargaining Unit, the Employer shall provide a copy of the draft posting to the Union for review. Within the period of two (2) working days the Union shall review and provide comments. The final posting will be forwarded to the Union, and shall be posted on all bulletin boards herein provided for, for a minimum of five (5) working days. The employee shall apply in writing as set forth on the job posting. Such posting shall contain the following information: Position Title, Department, Qualifications, Shift, start and end times and rate as per Schedule "A" of the within Contractual Agreement.

POSTING OF VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS. (a) The Corporation agrees that before permanently filling any vacant or new regular full‐ time or regular part‐time position, notice of such vacancy shall be posted for five (5) working days. In the event that two (2) or more applicants are equally qualified and capable of filling a position, preference shall be given to the applicant with the most seniority. All decisions relating to the job posting shall be made within thirty (30) working days of the job posting date. Should a successful applicant not be found from within the bargaining unit, the position will be advertised publicly. It is mutually agreed that a position coming open within the Corporation may be filled temporarily at the discretion of the Corporation during the above thirty (30) working day period.
POSTING OF VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS. Any position not filled pursuant to article 9:2 (including a site coordinator position) shall be posted for five (5) workdays or ten (10) business days during the summer prior to the position being filled. Only one posting is required as the result of an initial opening or new position. All such notices shall be posted in a designated area in the kitchen in each work location and the Central Office. Each notice will include the duties, rate of compensation, the minimum qualifications for the position, hours per day, work location, work schedule and instructions for making application. For Tire Technician, Service Technicians and Parts Room Clerk openings; employee applicants who meet the job requirements, as posted, will be selected over external candidates. Such preference will be given on a seniority basis with the senior internal candidate meeting these requirements being given first opportunity. For Mechanic openings, the Company will select the most qualified applicant based on the requirements of the position and the needs of the business. New employees in a classification may be assigned to any shift on a temporary basis for up to 60 days. When internal applicants are selected for a position and it is determined that the applicant is not able to meet the requirements of the position, they will have the opportunity within the 90-day probationary period to revert to their former classification. When positions are discontinued, the Union will be given notice in writing. Employees entitled to a displacement will indicate their choice within 48 hours if displacement is made within the garage affected or within 72 hours if outside of the garage location. Notices to displaced employees and subsequent notice of their displacement will be in writing.

If an employee is not successful in attaining the posted position, the Employer must give written notice of such fact to the employee involved and to the Union. The Employer shall notify the Union in writing of the names and seniority of successful applicants within three (3) working days of the appointment. A copy of such notice shall also be given to the Chairperson.

POSTING OF VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS. Postingof Vacancies and New Positions: Where a vacancy in a occurs, or where a new position is created, or where there is a vacancy in excess of forty five (45) working days, the Employer shall post a notice containing but not limited to the following information, on the staff board: title of the position; a brief description of the duties involved; the qualifications required; the remuneration; date of posting; time and closing date; shift; and testing and location of reference materials, if applicable Such shall be available for a minimum of six (6) consecutive calendar days.
