Professional Development Compensation. Any professional development work performed beyond the contractual year or contractual day shall be compensated at a rate determined by the Board of Education.
Professional Development Compensation. All teachers, either full or part time, may elect to participate in School District-sponsored professional development activities outside of the regular contract work day/year. These program activities may be approved by the School Board and will reflect the School District’s priorities for improving educational programming at either the school or system level. Teachers who successfully complete these programs will earn the equivalent of one (1) credit for each ten (10) hours of professional development course time. These accrued credits shall qualify the teacher for advancement on the salary schedule in accordance with existing procedures for column advancement.
Professional Development Compensation. Any full-time employee may be compensated for specific costs associated with job-related professional development, professional memberships, and professional licensure. The maximum compensation is $150 per fiscal year. Professional Development compensation is a taxable benefit based upon professional benefits to the employee and to the District. Employees may use their discretion in applying for the following eligible items: • Membership fees/dues for job related professional organizations • Education tuition and fees • Professional license renewal fees • Job-related certifications Employees must incur the expense and submit the Professional Development Compensation Form with appropriate receipt(s) to director/supervisor for approval. To be eligible under educational tuition and job-related certification, the course/test must be successfully completed, which is defined as passing by the institution being attended or the accrediting body.
Professional Development Compensation. 1. The Board will authorize the Superintendent to pay up to fifty percent (50%)* of the costs of tuition for graduate credits earned from accredited Michigan colleges or universities for course work approved in advance by the Superintendent of Schools. Course eligible reimbursement must qualify under an approved plan for an advanced degree or have a direct relationship with a teacher’s certification or teaching assignment. Credit reimbursement shall begin for courses taken after September 1, 1993.
2. The Board will authorize the Superintendent to pay up to fifty percent (50%) or $95, whichever is greater, of the costs of registration fees for special training programs that issue State approved SCECH credits SCECH credits must be approved either by the State Board of Education or the Michigan Department of Education.

Professional Development Compensation. The City shall allow time off with pay and shall pay all expenses of attending classes, lectures, conferences, or conventions, when attendance is on an assignment basis and approved by the City Manager/designee, as set forth in the City’s Professional Development, Travel, and Meals policy. Studying or preparing for classes, lectures, conferences, or conventions shall not be allowed on work time. Employees who are required to attend out-of-town training, either by the department supervisor or as required by the City to maintain required job-related certifications/licenses, will be paid for the travel time outside of their normal schedule, consistent with Oregon Administrative Rule 839-020-0045. Travel time for required local training will also be paid if it exceeds the normal commute time the employee experiences traveling to and from work. If this time causes them to exceed forty (40) hours in a week, it will be paid at the applicable overtime rate or employees may flex their schedule to compensate for the hours. However, if it is foreseeable the travel time will cause the employee to exceed forty (40) hours in a workweek, the employee must receive the City’s approval of the overtime. Meals shall be reimbursed according to the City’s Professional Development, Travel, and Meals Policy. Employees who voluntarily attend training that is approved by the City during the employee’s normal work schedule shall only be compensated for their normal work schedule.
Professional Development Compensation a. Compensation for staff attendance at approved workshops/professional development training during the summer or at times that are not contractually required: $27.00 for the duration of this Agreement
b. Compensation for staff presentation at approved workshops/professional development training: $34.00 for the duration of this Agreement
c. Compensation for staff preparation for approved workshops/professional development training: $34.00 for the duration of this Agreement. Preparation hours will be determined in collaboration with the appropriate supervisor or administrator. They are based upon whether or not the workshop has been previously presented or is an updated or new presentation. Note: Staff members who participate in, present or prepare professional development training and receive the compensation listed above will also receive the appropriate professional development hours in accordance with NJAC: 6A 9-‐15 and the guidelines established in Professional Development Framework: What Counts.
Professional Development Compensation. 10.10.1 Teaching Assistants, Teacher Aides, and Nurses In-Service Training 5 Teaching assistants, teacher xxxxx, and nurses who successfully complete district approved in-service 6 courses are eligible to receive a salary increase of $.05 (five cents) per hour added to their present base 7 rate for each six (6) hours of in-service. Such in-service courses must be approved prior to enrolling in 8 them. The in-service courses to which a stipend is paid must be outside the regular working hours at the 9 expense of the employee. College courses will not be considered for in-service credit. Notification must 10 be given by October 15 of the school year to receive the adjustment on or about December 15 of that 11 same school year. Notification must be given by June 1 of the school year to receive adjustment by the 12 beginning of the subsequent school year.
Professional Development Compensation. Teachers attending in-service meetings or curriculum meetings shall be compensated based on the following:
1. The administration provides the workshop or directs the curriculum meeting. (The activity cannot be self-elected or held off corporation grounds).
2. The meeting takes place after the regular school day or during the summer.
3. The teacher files form 269.
Professional Development Compensation. It is understood that the District benefits significantly when its members share their expertise with the Lake Shore Central Faculty and Staff, through Professional Development offerings.
