Rules for Use of Salary Schedule. 1. Each job has an applicable salary range as identified in Appendix B. All new appointments will generally enter the probationary period at the minimum salary of the applicable range. The City Manager may, upon request of the Department Head, authorize entry at any point in the salary range to compensate for education and experience. Employee shall serve a six month probationary period during which time it may be extended an additional six months by the Department Head.
