Study Support. The parties recognise the importance of the acquisition of relevant professional knowledge and skills and/or the continued development of relevant skills and knowledge of employees through study programs. Study assistance, in accordance with Council’s Study Support Principle and Guidelines applying at the time will be available, subject to budget availability, to those employees who elect to undertake approved programs of study. Employees will be credited with 10 days sick/family leave, which can be used for either sick or family leave, and two days’ bereavement leave. The 10 days sick leave entitlement is cumulative – the two day bereavement leave entitlement is non-cumulative. The duration of family or bereavement leave utilised under this clause will be subject to mutual agreement between the employee and appropriate corporate leader, and will take into account particular circumstances that exist at the time of application. The taking of such leave will be in accordance with the criteria outlined in Clause 6.6 Sick Leave and 6.8 Family Leave of the Award. The parties recognise that some employees may be the only available carer for a family member who is not specified as ‘immediate family’ in Clause 6.8 of the Award. Such employees may apply for family leave to care for this family member in circumstances where no other person is able to provide such care – including a certificate from the treating medical practitioner citing such need.
Study Support. 16. Depending on how important the employer considers a course to be to the company or the employee, the employee may be granted the following types of study support:
a. reimbursement of study costs;
b. allowance of time.
17. In order to be eligible for study support, the employee must consult the Human Resources department and the line manager before embarking on the studies to determine the level of the studies' importance to the company or the individual employee and to determine the eligible study support.
18. The reimbursements are provided at or around the time the expenses are to be incurred. The employee in question must demonstrate the amount of the study costs (to be) incurred to the employer by providing supporting documents.
19. If a study programme is followed that in the employer's opinion is in the company's interest and is related to the position (to be) held in the company, an allowance towards the study costs to be incurred shall be provided, which is composed as follows:
a. tuition and exam fees: 100% compensation;
b. additional travel expenses based on public transport that had to be incurred to take the course or do the
c. exam: 100% compensation;
d. learning resources approved by the employer for the studies: 100% compensation;
20. In addition to the costs referred to in paragraphs 4 a to c, the following support may be granted in time:
a) for evening courses, as much free time as possible shall be guaranteed where necessary by adapting the end of the working hours to the study travel time and start time, for example by moving the working hours within the regular time window or by finishing the work sooner;
b) if the study requires additional study leave to prepare for and actually take tests and/or exams that cannot be taken as normal days off, it shall be examined whether special study leave can be granted on an individual basis. Up to 10 days of special study leave can be granted per calendar year.
Study Support. DLC Training will provide a Tutor and a mentor to support you with your studies. Please note there may be fluctuation in levels of service and support during busy periods. DLC Training will take action to prevent this where possible and will ensure that this does not impact upon exam preparation. Students must take responsibility for the time they take to study a program and must login writing any issues that they have with the college that delays their studies in anyway, if in the unlikely event this happens. Support is provided on the basis of the student working to the agreed timescales. If a student submits more than 1 piece of work at a time then we will always attempt to mark and feedback work as quickly as is possible. But under these circumstances we reserve the right to mark work at a rate of 1 piece per week. The rate at which work is marked may fluctuate from time to time depending on demand. All Students wishing to study an Institute course MUST be registered with the relevant Institute prior to examinations. It is the student’s responsibility to maintain membership; without which a certificate cannot be awarded, and to pay the Institutes’s annual fee.
Study Support.
(a) Discovery will arrange for the provision of training from a training provider nominated by Discovery to allow approved Employees to obtain the following qualifications:
(i) Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care;
(ii) Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care; and
(iii) Any other relevant formally accredited qualification as approved by Discovery.
(b) The eligibility criteria and conditions relevant to training provided in this clause (Clause 42.2 Study Support) will be in accordance with Discovery’s policy, which does not form part of this Agreement and may be varied at any time by Discovery at its absolute discretion.
(c) An eligible Employee must enter into an irrevocable Training Agreement with Discovery that includes:
(i) A requirement that, if the Employee breeches the conditions of the Training Agreement, fails to complete the qualification, or terminates their employment during the period that the Training Agreement, the Employee is liable and may be required to repay the full cost of the qualification incurred by Discovery; and
(ii) Any amount owing by the Employee to Discovery may be recovered by Discovery providing the Employee with at least two weeks’ notice that it intends to deduct the arrears amount from the Employee’s wages at the next pay day, or over a number of pay days. In circumstances where the Employee does not have sufficient accrued entitlements to satisfy the outstanding amount, the outstanding amount shall become a debt that may be recovered by Discovery.
(d) Discovery requires each Employee who is completing a qualification to maintain all required records to a standard that will satisfy the relevant regulatory body that the Employee is actively working towards the agreed qualification. Discovery may require an Employee to provide evidence of satisfactory progress from time to time. Discovery may request both the Employee and relevant training provider provide this information.
Study Support. 11.1 The College actively supports all staff in pursuing relevant tertiary qualifications. At the discretion of the Principal, support may include up to 50% reimbursement of fees and the provision of unpaid leave.

DLC Training reserve the right to mark and provide feedback at a rate of 1 submission per week. The rate at which work is marked may fluctuate in line with demand.

Please note there may be fluctuation in levels of service and support during busy periods. The Network 360 Group will take action to prevent this where possible. Students must take responsibility for the time they take to complete a distance learning package, and must log any issues that they have with The Network 360 Group that delays their studies in anyway, if in the unlikely event this occurs, this must be logged in writing. If a Student submits more than 1 submission per 7 working days, The Network 360 Group will always attempt to mark and provide feedback as quickly as possible. The Network 360 Group reserve the right to mark and provide feedback at a rate of 1 submission per 7 working days. The rate at which work is marked may fluctuate in line with demand. Students need to ensure they have enough active study time to allow for Tutor marking and feedback of all assignments as work will not be marked outside of your study period. Students must ensure their final work submission is submitted no later than 14 days prior to the course end date (in line with the work submission policy of one work submission per week) and all marking and feedback is received a minimum of seven days prior to the end date of studies to allow time for verification of study completion.
Study Support. NTU will continue to provide a range of study support to students. Students who are struggling with their course work, or would like to find ways of being more successful will be supported by study skills workshops, one-to- one support and study support resources. In 2013/14, we will work with students from priority groups to identify ways of improving engagement with these services.
Study Support. (a) A Medical Practitioner shall be entitled to 5 weeks paid Sabbatical Leave after each 5 years continuous service, which may, subject to application and approval by the employer, be used for the purpose of training, education and study within Australia or overseas.
(b) Medical Practitioners must give reasonable notice when requesting Sabbatical Leave, which is to be taken at a mutually convenient time and such leave must be used for professional development and reflect the employer’s needs. The employer may stipulate certain reasonable outcomes such as reports, information sharing etc which may be required from the Medical Practitioner upon return.
(c) Reasonable conference, travel and accommodation expenses shall be paid on production of the appropriate receipts where it is agreed that a conference or course of study is appropriate for the practitioner to maintain the practitioners registration status, improve the practitioners medical qualifications or is relevant or beneficial to the service.
Study Support. The Contractor shall provide study support such as study vignette development or dynamic scenario development in times of high TRAC priority shifts. Under these circumstances, the Contractor support effort will be applied toward or in lieu of completion of either one or parts of the scenario development tasks under paragraph 5.2.1 to paragraph 5.2.6.
