Vacation Call Back. 20.01 For the purpose of call back during vacation, the regular days off prior to, during or after vacation leave shall be considered as vacation call back and a member shall be entitled to the compensation in this Article.
20.02 Employees called back from vacation (including court call back) on the regular days off prior to vacation leave shall receive their call out (or Court Time) plus 1 shift in pay or time off (at the option of the employee) for each day or part of the day the employee is called back to work. Maximum payment of one (1) shift per day plus call out (or Court Time).
20.03 Employees called back from vacation (including court call back) during or after vacation leave shall receive two (2) shifts pay or time off (at the option of the employee) for each day or part of the day the employee is called back to work. There shall be no entitlement to call out (or court time). Maximum payment of two (2) shifts per day.
20.04 Employees must notify the Watch Commander or Designate as soon as they are aware that they must attend Court on vacation. Employees who fail to notify the Employer shall only be entitled to Court time and not to vacation call-back.
Vacation Call Back. Time spent on paid vacation shall not be counted as time worked for purposes of computing overtime except:
a. When an employee is required to work overtime for an emergency situation or unscheduled work cessation of work after taking a scheduled vacation in that work week, that vacation time shall be counted as time worked for overtime purposes in that week.
b. When an employee is called back from vacation to perform work related to the event or events giving rise to the worksite closure or temporary work stoppage.
c. When an employee is called in to work on a regular day off.
Vacation Call Back. If the County cancels vacation once vacation has been approved and the affected employee has incurred non-refundable or unusable expenses in planning for the same, the employee shall be reimbursed by the County for those expenses. Any employee called back to duty for any reason once the vacation has begun shall be reimbursed for round trip transportation costs involved in returning to duty.
Vacation Call Back. Once vacation has been approved and the affected employee has incurred non-refundable or unusable expenses in planning for the same, leave of absence, bereavement leave or compensatory time off, including regularly scheduled days off, immediately preceding or following the same shall be reimbursed by the County for those expenses. Any employee called back to duty for any reason once the vacation has begun shall be guaranteed eight (8) hours at twice (2x) the hourly rate upon reporting for duty, and shall be reimbursed for round trip transportation costs involved in returning for duty. Reimbursement for travel shall be made on the same basis as the original mode of transportation, if applicable; mileage shall be paid at the approved IRS rate. If an employee's regularly scheduled days off fall immediately before or immediately after his/her vacation, these days off will count as vacation days. If called back to work on these days off, the employee shall be paid double time. Double time, for purposes of this provision, is defined as eight (8) or ten
Vacation Call Back. An employee who is recalled from vacation will receive the overtime rate for all hours worked and shall be given the remainder of his/her vacation at a later date.
Vacation Call Back. In the case of emergency, the Deputy Director may call back to work an employee who is on vacation leave. The Department will reimburse for necessary travel expenses incurred in returning the officer to work.
Vacation Call Back. 20.5.1 Where a Member who is on vacation is called back by the University and where it is not appropriate for the Member to name an alternate, then the day of such call-back will not constitute a day of vacation.
Vacation Call Back. Except in the case of an emergency, as determined by the Department Head/designee, the County Administrator, and/or the Chairman of the Legislature, or unless mandated by law, no employee shall be required to return to and appear for work during his/her scheduled vacation period once it has begun (including any holidays or other days off which constitute a part of the vacation period).
Vacation Call Back. If an employee is called back to work from a scheduled vacation due to operational needs, the employee may take the vacation at a later time. The employee will be compensated at one and one-half his or her rate of pay for the time the employee is on recall status.
Vacation Call Back. In the case of an emergency that requires that employee’s services and no other employee who is qualified to perform the work is available, the Fire Chief may cancel that employee’s vacation. Employees affected by this section may select their vacation at a later time of their choosing and shall be given special treatment in regards to Article XII, Section 2. If the employer changes the shift of an employee, that employee shall re-select all of his vacation and holiday time.
