ACCRUAL OF VACATION CREDITS. 25.1 Vacation credits will accrue bi-weekly to the officer’s account. Such credits may be accumulated up to a maximum of two (2) years’ earnings as of the end of the first payroll period in January. Any credits in excess of that amount will be forfeited at that time. If an officer has approved vacation scheduled during the month of November or December that would allow the officer to avoid the forfeiture of vacation accrual and the time is not used due to illness, injury or the Employer requires the officer to work, the amount of vacation the officer was unable to take may be carried over in addition to the two (2) years’ accumulation; however, the officer must use any vacation credit carried over in this manner within six (6) months. The scheduling of such vacation time shall conform with the manpower requirements established by the Bureau. 25.2 Upon the termination of an officer from service for any reason, or in the event of the officer’s death, the officer or the officer’s heirs shall be entitled to an immediate lump sum payment for accrued vacation and holiday credits, including the credits accrued in the current calendar year. 25.3 Officers who sign a commitment to retire in a specific calendar year shall be allowed to accrue vacation in addition to the provisions of section 25.1 of this Article for the purposes of vacation payment upon termination of employment. The amount of vacation paid shall not exceed three years’ accrual and all vacation in excess of three years accrual shall not be considered accrued vacation and shall be forfeited. Officers making a commitment to retire shall specify the date of their retirement and shall forfeit any accrued vacation in excess of the carryover limit set in section 25.1 above if they do not retire on that date.

ACCRUAL OF VACATION CREDITS. Vacation credits shall accrue as follows: From date of employment through four (4) years of service, unit members on active payroll status shall be entitled to twenty (20) days of vacation leave each year, accrued on an hourly basis for each active, standard payroll hour. Time off payroll shall result in the incremental loss of payroll hours of vacation leave awarded. From five (5) years of service through nine (9) years of service, unit member on active payroll status shall be entitled to twenty-two (22) days of vacation leave each year, accrued on an hourly basis for each active, standard payroll hour. Time off payroll shall result in the incremental loss of payroll hours of vacation leave awarded. From ten (10) years of service through fourteen (14) years of service, unit member on active payroll status shall be entitled to twenty-three (23) days of vacation leave each year, accrued on an hourly basis for each active, standard payroll hour. From fifteen (15) years of service through nineteen (19) years of service, unit member on active payroll status shall be entitled to twenty-four (24) days of vacation leave each year, accrued on an hourly basis for each active, standard payroll hour. ACCRUAL OF VACATION CREDITS. A. Effective January 1, 2014, on January 1 of each year, employees shall be credited with their annual allotment of vacation time, with the exception of newly hired employees, whose vacation time in their first year of employment shall be pro-rated based on his/her date of hire and the number of months remaining in the calendar year. Further, newly hired employees shall not be permitted to take any vacation time until satisfactory completion of their probationary period. Length of Employment Vacation Days B. In the year in which an employee retires or resigns, the employee’s vacation allotment for that year shall be pro-rated based on their date of retirement or resignation and the time remaining in that final year of employment. For Example: (1) If an employee retires or resigns between January 1st and March 31st, the employee shall be credited with twenty-five percent (25%) of his/her annual allotment of vacation days for the year of retirement or resignation. (2) If an employee retires or resigns between October 1st and December 31st, the employee shall be credited with one-hundred percent (100%) of his/her annual allotment of vacation days for the year of retirement or resignation. C. In the event that an employee retires or resigns and has used more vacation time for that year than the above schedule allows, the excess vacation time shall be paid back to the Town by deducting the excess amount from any other amounts payable to that employee upon resignation or retirement, including, but not limited to compensation time, sick leave conversion, longevity or the employee’s final paycheck. D. Any bargaining unit employee on less than full-time service may be granted that proportion of the vacation allowance which his/her services bears to full-time service. E. For determining vacation status "creditable service" only shall be used. F. If an employee is on industrial accident leave and has available vacation credits which have not been used and who because of the prohibition against carry-over of vacation credits would lose such vacation credits, the Director of the Library or his/her designee shall convert such vacation credits to sick leave credits on the December 31st of the year if such vacation credits would be lost if not taken. G. No unit member may accumulate more than a total of two (2) years of his/her maximum allowance of vacation credits or forty (40) vacation days, whichever is lesser. ACCRUAL OF VACATION CREDITS. Each Deck Officer with at least six (6) months continuous employment shall receive one (1) working day of vacation leave, with full pay, for each month of completed employment, up to and including twelve (12) months.   • Vacation Credits All employees shall participate in the County’s Terminal Pay Plan (Plan). However, only the terminal paychecks (including unused vacation) of those employees who have reached the age of fifty-five (55) shall be placed into the Plan. These terminal paychecks shall be placed into the Plan on a pre-tax basis in accordance with the Plan, all applicable laws and all rules and regulations applicable to the Plan.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits An employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each calendar month during which the employee receives pay for at least ten (10) days at the following rate:

  • Vacation Credit Any outstanding vacation entitlement for a person going on LTD will be paid in cash upon expiry of sick leave. The cash payment will be calculated on the base earnings at the expiration of sick leave for the prorated days of vacation entitlement, any outstanding lieu days, any outstanding floating statutory holidays, and banked time for 40-hour per week employees.   • Accrual of Sick Leave a. A full-time employee shall accrue four (4) hours of sick leave for each biweekly pay period, or the number of hours that are directly proportionate to the number of days worked during less than a full-pay period, without limitation as to the total number of hours that may be accrued. b. A part-time employee shall accrue sick leave at a rate directly proportionate to the percent of time employed. c. An employee appointed under Other Personal Services (OPS) shall not accrue sick leave.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.

  • Accrual of Annual Leave (a) An employee shall accrue an amount of paid annual leave, for each completed 4 week period of continuous service with the employer, of 1/13 of the number of ordinary hours worked by the employee for the employer during that 4 week period. (b) Annual leave shall accrue on a pro-rata basis and be credited to the employee monthly.

  • Benefit Level The primary care clinics available through each plan administrator are assigned a Benefit Level. The Benefit Levels are outlined in the benefit chart below. Primary care clinics may be in different Benefit Levels for different plan administrators. Family members may be enrolled in clinics that are in different Benefits Levels. Employees and their dependents may change to clinics in different Benefit Levels during the annual open enrollment.   • Vacation Payout Where an employee requests in writing to have a specific number of vacation days paid out, and the Employer agrees to the request, the Employer will issue pay in lieu of vacation. Pay in lieu of vacation, if agreed, will be granted only after a minimum of 15 days' vacation time has already been taken in the year.
