Appointment to Vacancies. When there is a vacancy in a new or existing position in the non-competitive class, labor exempt or in the competitive class when no Civil Service list exists, excluding seasonal or emergency appointments or temporary appointments as defined in Article 3, the Town shall give preference to existing Town employees over outside applicants to fill the vacancy when, in the Town’s judgment, all other qualifications are equal.
Appointment to Vacancies. 12.2.1 New Hires: First preference for new hires shall be given to residents of the Town of LaGrange.
Appointment to Vacancies. 7.1 The Committee may, at its discretion, and when the total number of members is less than 10, co-opt up to a maximum of two additional representatives at the AGM or during the year, to ensure there are sufficient members to discharge effectively its business. Any person so co-opted must meet the criteria set out in Clause 4.3 above.
7.2 On the resignation of a non-affiliated village representative, a Notice of Vacancy will be published on all public notice boards and in the foyer of the Premises inviting nominations. Any nomination must be submitted in writing to the Secretary not less than seven days before the next Ordinary Meeting of the Committee at which time any nomination so received will be determined.
7.3 On the resignation of an affiliated member or Parish Council representative, the parent body will be asked to submit a further nomination, any such nomination being automatically being appointed as a member.
7.4 On the resignation of an officer, a Notice of Vacancy will be published on all public notice boards and in the foyer of the Premises inviting nominations. Any nomination must be submitted in writing to the Secretary not less than seven days before the next Ordinary Meeting of the Committee at which time any nomination so received will be determined.
7.5 The Committee may, at any time, and having followed due process, require the resignation of an officer for misconduct or other valid reason.
7.6 Any person required to resign in accordance with 7.5 above shall have the right of appeal to the Parish Council.
Appointment to Vacancies. 5.2.1 Selection: The Town Board will be the sole judge with respect to the degree to which applicants meet job qualifications. The selection of internal and/or external applicants to fill positions will be at the sole discretion of the Town Board. The Town Board will give appropriate consideration to internal applicants. Such action shall not be subject to the Grievance Procedure.
Appointment to Vacancies. The parties agree that if a position becomes vacant, which has to be filled in the short term prior to advertising, then the principle of ‘cascading up’ will be utilised and the position will be filled within 3 months of the vacancy occurring unless exceptional circumstances exist.
(a) The following positions may be filled by simultaneous advertising:
(i) all positions classified at the first increment of Level 5 of the General Salary Scale and above; and
(ii) any positions for which specialised skills are required, and which ICC believes are not currently possessed by an employee who may apply for the vacant position. A report showing positions advertised under the provisions of Clause (13(a)(ii)) will be provided to the Joint Consultative Committee on request.
(b) No permanent position other than those positions referred to in subclause (a) above, including newly created positions, shall be filled by ICC unless applications are invited first from any interested employees of ICC regardless of whether such employees are permanent employees or whether they are employed in terms of this Agreement or any other Certified Agreement. In the event of no such applications being in the opinion of ICC suitable for appointment to the position or where internal recruitment activities attract four
Appointment to Vacancies. A. All professional vacancies shall be posted in every school, setting forth the job description, educational qualifications, and minimum starting salary. Such postings shall be made in all of the faculty rooms and general offices in the district for a period of at least ten days prior to the position being filled, except for coaching vacancies that occur within 14 days of the commencement of practice of that sport. The President of the Association shall be e-mailed a copy of all postings which occur during the summer months, at the time the position is posted.
B. Unit members applying for such vacancies shall submit their applications in writing to the Superintendent or his designee within the time limit specified in the notice.
C. Upon recommendation of the Superintendent vacancies shall be filled on the basis of the selection of the best qualified individual as determined by the Board of Education.
D. In the event two or more candidates have equal qualifications for a given position, preference shall be given to the senior member of the existing faculty for appointment of such vacancy.
E. The selection of Department Heads is at the sole discretion of the Superintendent. However, the Superintendent shall minimally consider the following:
1. The qualifications of the candidates who submitted a formal application to the Principal.
2. The recommendation(s) of the Principal(s).
3. The recommendations of the Faculty. The recommendations from the faculty shall be solicited through a confidential memo/form from the Superintendent to the faculty of the appropriate department(s), which lists the candidates who have applied for Department Head(s) positions. The faculty may then rank the candidates, by order of preference, giving comments where necessary, and return such form to the Superintendent. Such memo/ form shall only be utilized when there is more than one (1) candidate for a Department Head position.
F. The District and the Association shall work together to formulate a written job description which lists the duties and responsibilities of the Department Head’s position(s).
Appointment to Vacancies. When there is a vacancy in a new or existing position in the noncompetitive class, or in the competitive class when no civil service list exists, excluding seasonal or emergency appointments or temporary appointments as defined in Article 3.1.3, above, the Authority shall give preference to the most senior qualified employee who has applied for the position to fill the position. Any decision as to qualifications shall be left to the Authority's discretion.
Appointment to Vacancies a. In making appointments to vacancies in jobs involving personal contact by the Employee with the public or requiring specific technical skills or jobs in which the employee must lead and direct other Employees, the Company shall consider the bids of Employees submitted as herein provided, but the Company may nevertheless make appointments to such vacancies on the basis of ability and personal qualifications. the following classifications shall be selected by a process, mutually agreed upon between the Company and the Union.
1. Wire Xxxxxxx, Meter Xxxxxxx, Lead Meter Technician, Advanced Metering Specialist, Lead Relay Technician, Relay Technician Trainee I-IV, Combustion Turbine Xxxxxxx, Customer Service Field Lead, Hydro Xxxxxxx, Communications Technician Xxxxxxx and Lead System Operator. In addition to journey-level technical skills, the listed classifications require specific technical skills and/or leadership skills.
2. The Company and the union agree that the process for selection will be based on specified technical and leadership skills. The process for assessment of the required skills will be developed by the Company and the Union. The Company will make available training for these skills. Based upon these defined criteria, a pool will be built of pre-qualified candidates for the listed classifications.
3. Any employee who, upon ratification, holds a Hydro or CT Technician I, II, III position will be expected to complete the requirements to progress to Technician IV. Upon completing all Technician requirements, the employee will be classified as a Xxxxxxx and paid at the Xxxxxxx rate.
b. When an Employee is appointed to a vacancy on the basis of ability and personal qualifications in preference to an Employee with greater classification or group seniority, the Company shall notify the Union of its decision at least five (5) days prior to completion of the transfer or promotion.
Appointment to Vacancies. A. Non-Competitive/Labor Class: In accordance with Civil Service Law and the policies and practices of the Library, appointment to vacancies in the Non- Competitive and Labor Class shall be awarded to a candidate who best meets the qualifications established by Civil Service (Onondaga County Department of Personnel) and the Library.
B. Competitive Class: Appointments to vacancies in the Competitive Class shall be awarded in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations (Onondaga County Department of Personnel.
Appointment to Vacancies. Assignments to vacancies shall be based on certification, seniority, qualifications and experience, but are subject to the Superintendent’s discretion.
