ARTICLE JOB POSTING. In the event that a new full-time job is created or a vacancy occurs in an existing full-time job, the Company will post these openings for a period of five (5) working days in all work locations and kiosks that unionized employees work. Each booth will be provided with a job posting binder which will include a job posting log sheet. Each posting will have a number assigned to it and every subsequent posting will then have a sequential number assigned to it. The Companywill requirethe printed name and signature of the employee on duty in each location at the time the posting is posted and the date it was posted in that location. In addition, the Supervisor and Employee on duty will date and initial the log sheet. The Company will forward a signed copy of the log sheet to the Union if one is requested by the Union. Employees interested in the job must apply to the Human Resources office in writing within five (5) business days. Full-time employees shall have the first opportunity to apply for any such Part-time employees shall then have preference to outside hiring. Where the ability and capability to perform the position are relatively equal seniority shall be the determining factor in all cases. The Company will also provide a Web Site for employees, however, web page listingswill not replace proper written or notices which must be posted as per (a) above. The Web Site will be updated on a regular basis. New full- time jobs and all full-time vacancies as per (a) above will also be listed on the Web Page and identified with expiry dates of five (5) working days. An e-mail address will be provided for bargaining unit employees who wish to apply for Company listed opportunities via e-mail. In this case any such e-mail applications received by the Company must be acknowledged by the Company in writing or by an email response. The Web Page may list but not be limited to vacancies, lot listings and overtime opportunities. Those employees interested in working the vacancies, overtime opportunities and any other temporary assignments as posted by the Company must apply either in writing or by email as above. Inthe event that two (2) or more employees apply, the Company shall use seniority as the governing factor where in the opinion of management, the skills, qualifications, and ability of the applicants are relatively equal provided such opinion in not exercised in an arbitrary or discriminatory manner. ARTICLE JOB POSTING. Where a permanent vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new position within the bargaining unit established by the Hospital, such vacancy shall be posted by the Hospital for a period of five days excluding Saturday, Sunday and holidays. The posting shall stipulate the qualifications, classification, rate of pay, department and shift and a copy shall be provided to the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. All applications are to be made in writing within the posting period. Vacancies created by the filling of a posted vacancy need not be posted, however, consideration for such subsequent vacancies will be given to employees in this bargaining unit who have a request for transfer on file. Such requests will be considered as applications for posted vacancies as well as subsequent vacancies. The maximum number of positions to which an employee may request a transfer at any one time is four Requests for transfer shall become active upon receipt and must be renewed during the month of January of each year to remain so. ARTICLE JOB POSTING. The Company and the Union agree that promotions and transfers to higher paid jobs or to better jobs with equal pay will be based primarily on the skill, ability, experience, qualifications and seniority of the employee concerned. Where the skill, ability, experience and qualifications are relatively equal, seniority shall govern. ARTICLE JOB POSTING. In accordance with standard University practice all vacant positions in the bargaining unit shall be posted for seven (7) calendar days prior to the appointment of a regular incumbent. The University may exercise its right to staff a vacancy with a Employees shall be given a training period of ten (10) days after they have been awarded a new job through the job posting procedure. This ten (10) day period will also be deemed as a trial period with the University having the right, without being subject to grievance, to transfer the employee back to his former job should the employee not demonstrate he has the ability to perform the work as required.
