ARTICLE JOB POSTING. In the event new full-time jobs are created or full-time vacancies occur in existing job classifications (unless the Home notifies the Union in writing that it intends to postpone or not fill a vacancy) the Home will post such new jobs or vacancies for period of ten calendar days and shall stipulate the qualifications, classifications, rate and department concerned before new employees are hired in order to allow employees with seniority to apply writing on a form to be supplied by the Home. The Home will limit its consideration to employees who are on the full-time seniority list before it considers part-time employees. The successful applicant shall be placed on position for a period of working hours. Such trial promotion or transfer shall become permanent after the trial the employee feels that she is not suitable for the position, and wishes to return to her former position; the Employer feels that the employee is not suitable for the position, and requires that she return to her former position. In the event of either (a) or above, the employee will return to her former position and salary without loss of seniority. Any other employee promoted or transferred as a result of the rearrangement of positions shall also be returned to her former position and salary without loss of seniority. The above provisions shall also apply transfer to a position outside the bargaining unit. It is un- derstood however, that no employee shall be to a sition outside the bargaining unit without her Until the vacancy is filled resulting from the job posting provisions the Home is free to fill the vacancy on a temporary basis as it sees fit. If no applications are received by a.m. of the fourth day following the posting date the Home may start proceedings to secure permanent applications for the vacancy from outside labour sources. All applications received within the aforesaid period will be considered within a further four day period. more employees apply, the Employer shall consider the qualifications, experience, ability and seniority of the appli- cants. Where these factors are equal, greatest seniority shall fill the vacancy provided she can perform the work. If the applicants are not qualified to perform the work required, the Home reserves the right to immediately hire outside help. ARTICLE JOB POSTING. Where a permanentvacancy occurs in the bargaining unit the Company agrees to post a notice of such vacancy on the Company bulletin boards for three (3) working days. During that period any employee who has completed the probationary period may apply in writing for the posting. A copy of job will be given to the Chief Xxxxxxx. Only employees with or more years of seniority can apply for lateral or lower level job vacancies.

A permanent job becomes vacant when and employee dies, retires, leaves the service of the Company, is discharged, is promoted, demoted, promoted to day shift, or when a new job is created. A temporary job becomes vacant when an employee is ill, injured on an approved leave of absence, transferred to a non-bargaining unit work for a period of up to six (6) months or on an approved assignment for Union business.
ARTICLE JOB POSTING. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted in each location of the Board with employees covered by this Agreement. The posting shall occur at least five (5) working days before applications are due. Such shall contain at least the following information: nature of position, classification, requisite knowledge and education, ability and skills, location, and salary range. If no applications are received or no qualified employees apply, the Board may advertise The successful applicant and the Union will be notified within three (3) working days of the close of the posting date. The Board will advise the unsuccessful applicants in writing within ten (10) days after the position is filled. Where an employee is to be absent from work because of illness, accident or leave of absence for a predetermined period of more than twenty (20) working days, the job shall be posted as a temporary job and the provisions of this Article shall apply. Upon completion of the temporary assignment, the employee shall return to former position.
ARTICLE JOB POSTING. Subject to the provisions of Article when vacancies occur or new jobs are created, these positions, except those in salary level will be posted on a bulletin board accessible to all employees for a period of five (5) working days, during which time regular employees will have the opportunity to apply and be considered before temporary employees or outside applicants are considered. Seniority, qualifications, demonstrated skill and ability for the job will be the criteria used for selecting a person from the persons responding to the job posting. Where the demonstrated skill and ability are relatively equal, and meet the requirements of the position, seniority shall govern. If the vacancy is not filled by a regular employee through the posting process, applications will be considered from temporary employees and non-employees. Successful applicants, provided they are regular employees will be paid at their new pay rate, upon commencing their new duties, or not mors than four (4) weeks after accepting the offer of their new appointment. Any employee who is no longer capable of performing the full required duties of position by reason of disability, may be placed in a suitable position, if such a position is available, by the Director of Personnel Services without regard to the other provisions of this article. The rate of pay for such position will be as established for that classification in this Agreement. Local shall be notified in advance of placements made under this Article. When vacancies occur or new jobs are created in salary level the Corporation agrees to advise the membership of the vacancy by means of an information posting; however, the selection for such a position is excluded from the terms of the Collective Agreement.
