ARTICLE JOB POSTING. Where the Hospital creates a new position or is filling a vacant position, the Hospital shall post a notice thereof on the bulletin board for a period of seven calendar days. Members of the Bargaining Unit may apply for such opening during the posting period. The Hospital shall consider all such applications and reach its decision in accordance with the provisions of of the Agreement. Should no applicant be considered suitable, in the opinion of the Hospital, or if there are no applicants, the Hospital may fill the vacancy in such a manner as it sees fit. It is understood that any such opening may be filled by the Hospital on a temporary basis, not to exceed three months, during the course of this procedure, if deemed necessary by the Hospital such temporary period may be extended by mutual agreement of the Parties. Within seven calendar days of the date of acceptance of the successful applicant to the vacant or newly created position, the name of the successful applicant shall be posted on the bulletin board for a minimum of fourteen calendar days. The local shall be provided with names of the successful applicants. If no applicant is appointed, then the Local shall be so notified. Where an employee is required to attend a job interview, within the Hospital during her regular working hours, permission to do so will not be unreasonably withheld. A copy of the job posting(s) will be sent to the President of Local within seven calendar days. It is understood that temporary vacancies, the duration of which are not expected to exceed three months, or six months in the case of pregnancy or adoption leave, and which are expected to be filled by temporary employees, will not be posted. Promotions and Transfers In making promotions, demotions, or transfers within the bargaining unit, the following factors will be considered: skill, ability, job and seniority. Where the first three factors are relatively equal, seniority shall govern, providing the employee in question has the qualifications to perform the available work. If a bargaining unit employee is successful in obtaining a vacancy through a job posting, the Hospital will effect the change as soon as reasonably possible but no later than four weeks after the selection has been made by the Hospital. An employee selected as a result of a posted vacancy or a temporary vacancy as defined in Article need not be considered for a further vacancy for a period of up to six months from the date of her selection.

ARTICLE JOB POSTING. It is mutually agreed that notices within the scope of the bargaining unit of any vacancy as a result of death, retirement, resignation, promotion, demotion or termination of employment or any new jobs created, shall be posted on all bulletin boards for a of seven (7) days. It is understood that with the knowledge of the Union Committee Chairperson, the Employer may temporarily fill the vacancy during the posting. Employees shall have the right to bid during such seven (7) day period on any such vacancy or new job created. Such vacancy or new job created shall be filled from the applications received on the basis of seniority provided the senior employee possesses the necessary qualifications and ability to perform the work required. In the event the successful applicant within thirty (30) working days of commencing work in the posted position or such longer period as may be mutually agreed upon in writing, proves unsatisfactory or requests a return to his former position, he shall be returned to his former position without loss of seniority. If no applications to fill such vacancy or new job created are received from employees, then the Employer will fill the vacancy or new job created in any manner it sees fit. The Employer agrees to post on the Union bulletin boards the outcome of all job Where an employee has successfully bid for a job posting involving interdepartmental transfer and qualified under Article no further bid for interdepartmental transfer will be considered for a month period. It is understood a successful applicant for an interdepartmental transfer cannot bid back on a vacancy resulting from the original job posting.

During that period any employee who has completed the probationary period may apply in writing for the posting. A copy of job will be given to the Chief Xxxxxxx. Only employees with or more years of seniority can apply for lateral or lower level job vacancies.

ARTICLE JOB POSTING. If a permanentjob vacancy exists, or new job clas- sifications are created in the plant, such openings shall be posted on the plant bulletin boards on Thursday at a.m. and removed the following Tuesday at a.m., during which time regular employees at work in the Plant at the time of such job posting, may make application on the approved form for such job vacancy. Employees on approved leave of absence, or or occupational leave of absence, or vacation will be permitted to apply for such job The Company has no obligation to advise any absent em- ployees of any job posting. ARTICLE JOB POSTING. (a) All vacant or newly created classifications, shall be posted for a period of seven (7) business days before new employees are hired, in order to allow employees with seniority to apply in writing. The posting shall not take place later than five (5) days after the vacancy occurs or a new job created. Such notice shall state nature of position, qualifications required, knowledge and education, skills, hours of work, wage or salary rate, Department and intended work location.
