Classification and Rates of Pay. 24.01 The minimum wages for the life of the Collective Agreement shall be as set out on Schedule “A” and Schedule “B” which is attached hereto.
24.02 The Employer will make available for viewing, by a representative of the Union, biweekly figures which will show total gratuity and total revenue relevant to the calculation of the relevant gratuities for the prior two (2) week period.

Appeals or grievances regarding classification results will be handled through the grievance procedure.
7.5 Where direct bank deposit applies, a pay slip detailing earnings and deductions will be remitted to the employee no later than Thursday. Direct deposits will be made no later than the opening of banking hours each Thursday morning. When Thursday coincides with a holiday, the deposit will be made on the preceding workday.

An employee in a position whose classification level is adjusted downward under the Job Evaluation Plan implemented January shall retain his rate and his right to general increases until the date he ceases to hold the position. The Joint Job Evaluation Committee will evaluate newly created or modified positions according to the provisions of the new Job Evaluation Plan and the procedures agreed to. Paydays will be every Thursday. Pay cheques will be made available at the time of relief to shift workers coming off their last on Wednesday. Classification and Rates of Pay. 6.1.1 The minimum salary rates of pay are set out in Schedule 3 of this Agreement.
6.1.2 The Council recognises its responsibility to properly classify employees having regard to their skills, competencies and range of duties, and to ensure that all employees have current job descriptions, reflecting the Award classification criteria.
6.1.3 In accordance with Clause 4.1.4 of the Award, an employee may, upon written request, have his or her classification reviewed.
6.1.4 The applicant shall receive a written determination to such request no more than two (2) months from the Council’s receipt of the application.
6.1.5 A successful application for reclassification shall take effect from the date of the employee’s application for reclassification.
6.1.6 If the applicant is unsuccessful, written reasons shall be provided by the Council.
6.1.7 Where an employee disagrees with the classification assigned by the Council, he/she may bring the matter through the Dispute Procedure pursuant to Clause 3.2.1 of this Agreement for resolution.
Classification and Rates of Pay. 4.1.1. The minimum annual rate of salary to be paid to employees will be in accordance with the rates set out in Appendix 1 of this Agreement and will include, for salary purposes, the relevant prescribed allowances.
4.1.2. The employer shall, upon the initial engagement or upon the promotion of an employee, properly classify the employee having regard to the nature and range of duties that it is proposed to assign to that employee and shall notify the employee in writing of their classification.
4.1.3. In classifying an employee, the employer shall observe the procedure contained in Appendix 2 of this Agreement to apply the appropriate salary level. On initial appointment, the employer may give recognition to an employee’s previous relevant experience in order to ascertain the appropriate incremental point for the classification.
4.1.4. An employee may, upon written request, have their classification reviewed by the employer. The review shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of clause 4.
Classification and Rates of Pay. 5.1 The minimum rates of pay and classification of employment are as follows: Mixer Driver $29.56 $30.30 $31.21 Trailer Unit Driver $30.63 $31.40 $32.34 *Increase at ratification to be retroactive to March 1, 2024. It is mutually agreed that in the event the Company obtains a contract with any Provincial, Federal, Municipal, or other body, requiring the payment of a wage schedule which is in excess of the hourly rates agreed upon in this Agreement, then such wages shall apply only for the duration of such contract.
5.2 BURNCO Rock Products Ltd newly hired ready mix drivers will be required to participate in and pass program requirements in the Company’s Top Drum Training Program or other training program as applicable. Employees will have the option to accelerate the completion of this program. The mileposts to earn rate increases include: - newly hired start at $2.50 per hour less than full wage rate - completion of mileposts 1 & 2 - rate increase of $0.75 per hour - completion of mileposts 3 to 5 - rate increase of $0.75 per hour - completion of remaining mileposts 6 & 7 - driver is at full wage rate
5.3 If a driver requests appropriate equipment for test purposes to upgrade his license or for license renewal, it shall be provided by the Company, if and when available.
