Curriculum Coordinators. Curriculum Coordinators serve as a liaison between the full-time faculty and the administration. Curriculum Coordinators have no supervisory responsibilities for other employees, programs or services. The Curriculum Coordinator convenes faculty meetings within the discipline to discuss both college-wide and discipline related items. These meetings include adjuncts. The Curriculum Coordinator will perform curriculum reviews, assist faculty with any changes in the discipline curriculum, and assists with course-writing and instructional-delivery formats (including online and hybrid formats).

Curriculum Coordinators. Based on District needs, Curriculum Coordinator positions may include but need not be limited to the following teaching areas: Art, Business Education, Computer Science, Foreign Language, Guidance, Family and Consumer Science, Industrial Arts, Science, School Nurses, and Social Studies. The District shall make every attempt to assign teaching periods as consecutive periods and shall attempt to schedule them at the beginning of the school day of the home school and, if possible, limit teaching assignments to one preparation. Curriculum Coordinators shall have no collateral duties except a homeroom, and if a homeroom assignment is necessary, the coordinator's schedule shall include a first period class. The District shall attempt to assign Curriculum Coordinators to only one building for teaching purposes. The scheduling of preparation time shall be in accordance with the language governing preparation time at that level and shall be flexible and at the discretion of the Curriculum Coordinator according to the needs and demands of the day. Each Curriculum Coordinator shall be supplied with a desk, a file cabinet, and designated secretarial assistance. Access to a telephone for Curriculum Coordinators use shall be provided. Curriculum Coordinators shall not allow use of the telephone by other persons as it is restricted to use for Curriculum Coordinator duties. Curriculum Coordinators shall not be used as substitute teachers except in unusual circumstances. If there should be the need to use a Curriculum Coordinator as a substitute teacher, a report of that use shall be made in writing by the building administrator to district administration. Curriculum Coordinators will be invited to participate in the interviewing process for new teachers in their curriculum area. Workshop participation shall be paid at the workshop rate listed in Article
Curriculum Coordinators. The Board shall establish an eleven (11) month schedule for Coordinators of Language Arts, and Math and Science. Employees with such assignments shall be paid on a ratio of 1.1 times their appropriate rate on the salary schedule.
Curriculum Coordinators. The School District shall have the right to specify the duties of Curriculum Coordinators after consulting with the Federation regarding the specification of such duties. Curriculum Coordinators. The following are current curricula with appointed Coordinators: Automotive Technology Behavioral Health/Human Services Clinical Laboratory Technology Communication Arts Culture, Science and Technology Dental Hygiene Diagnostic Medical Imaging Early Childhood Education Education Hospitality Technologies American Sign Language/English Interpreting Justice Liberal Arts Medical Assisting and Office Management Paralegal Studies Respiratory Care Technology Either the College or the Federation may convene a meeting of the appropriate Department Head and a Federation representative to make a recommendation to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for the addition of new curricula to the list of curricula which have Curriculum Coordinators. When the Vice President for Academic Affairs designates an addition to the list, the Coordinator shall be entitled to the compensation described below. In such cases in which a Department Head takes on the role of a Coordinator of a curriculum added to the list by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the compensation shall be in addition to any emoluments to which the Department Head is entitled. The College shall not be required to designate a Curriculum Coordinator where a program has been designated a department, has been eliminated, or the nature of the duties performed by the Curriculum Coordinator have become substantially reduced. Every year, appointments to the position of Curriculum Coordinator shall be confirmed in writing. The list of Curriculum Coordinators’ roles and responsibilities agreed to by the Committee convened in accordance with paragraph 27 of the Letter of Agreement appended to this agreement will be rewritten in a format similar to that of the 1971 document “Department Head Duties and Responsibilities.” Curriculum Coordinators will have a minimum released time equal to twenty- five percent (25%) of their normal teaching load for both fall and spring semesters. Curriculum Coordinators will have a minimum one and a half (1.5) hours of extended time each summer term. Curriculum Coordinators shall receive a minimum of an additional one (1) hour of extended time in each summer term in which courses designed by program faculty and specifically for a curriculum are offered. Curriculum Coordinators. The salary of all curriculum coordinators shall be 1.05 times the salary indicated by placing the coordinators on the teacher salary schedule. The work year for curriculum coordinators shall be from September 1 to June 30, inclusive; and any summer work performed by coordinators at the direction of the Superintendent shall be paid at 1/200 per diem of the coordinator’s regular salary.
Curriculum Coordinators. This contract provides for the position of Curriculum Coordinator for Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, English 6-12, Math 6-12, Social Studies 6-12, Science 6-12, Foreign Language 6-12, Music IC-12, and Art K-12.
