Earning of Sick Leave. 1. All Employees shall earn sick leave at the rate of fourteen (14) hours for each month of service. For the purpose of this Article, a workday is defined as an eight-hour (8) workday.
Earning of Sick Leave. Employees earn sick leave credits at the rate of one (1) day for each full month of employment or a pro-rated amount for partial months worked. Full-time employees can earn up to a maximum of twelve (12) days sick leave credit per year. Unused sick leave credits accumulate from year to year. Sick leave credits are not available until they are earned. Management may advance up to five (5) days sick leave for those situations involving hospitalization.
Earning of Sick Leave. Regular Full-Time employees will receive sixteen (16) hours of sick leave each January 1st and will be eligible to earn paid sick leave at the rate of eight (8) hours for each additional month to a maximum of sixty (60) hours per year. All unused sick time will roll-over to the following calendar year to a maximum of sixty (60) hours. Regular Part-Time will earn sick leave on a prorated basis.
Earning of Sick Leave. (a) Sick leave shall be earned at the rate of one (1) day per calendar month with the right to accumulate them until a maximum of one hundred (100) days is reached.
Earning of Sick Leave. 1. During an employee's first year on the job, sick days will be advanced at the beginning of each new month of employment at the rate of 1.2 days per month.
Earning of Sick Leave. Each full-time faculty member shall earn one (1) day of sick leave with compensation for each calendar month of service or major fraction of a calendar month of service not to exceed twelve (12) days for each fiscal year. Such leave shall be taken only when necessary because of sickness as herein prescribed. Such sick leave shall be cumulative from year to year. Accumulated sick leave may be transferred from another Florida state college, the Florida Department of Education, the State University System, a Florida district school board, or a state agency, provided that at least one-half of the sick leave accumulated at any time must have been established during employment at Pensacola State College, and provided further that such transferable sick leave shall not be credited to the employee until and unless he or she procures from the former employer and furnishes in writing to the President of the College certification of the amount of sick leave that is transferable. Sick leave shall be transferable, as provided hereinabove, only where the affected employee has commenced his or her employment at Pensacola State College at the beginning of the next regular term following the termination of his or her employment with the employer from whom the sick leave is to be transferred, or within two (2) years following such termination if such termination is involuntary and not for cause. Full-time faculty may choose to participate in the College’s sick leave pool.
Earning of Sick Leave. Regular employees shall be entitled to eight (8) days of sick leave per year, accrued at the rate of zero-point-sixty-six (0.66) days per month, to a maximum sick leave bank of two-hundred-and-twenty- five (225) hours. All unused sick time at year end will roll-over to the following calendar year to the maximum of two-hundred-and-twenty-five (225) hours. Regular part-time employees will earn sick leave on a prorated basis. (Any hours an employee has in their “bonus” sick leave bank shall be moved into the sick leave bank as described above) Effective January 2020:
Earning of Sick Leave. 1) Faculty Members earn sick leave at the rate of one and three-quarter (1-3/4) working days or 14 hours for each full month of full-time service.

2. If such Employees render less than a month of service, their sick leave allowance for such month shall be computed as follows: Actual Days of Service Working Days of Leave For 1 to 3 0 For 4 to 6 1/2 For 7 to 9 3/4 For 10 to 12 1 For 13 to 15 1 1/4 For 16 to 18 1 1/2 For 19 or more 1 3/4 The term "actual days of service" shall include paid holidays.
3. Individuals who are employed on a temporary, contractual, or substitute basis while on vacation from another position in the State government or any political subdivision of the State shall not earn sick leave allowance for such employment.
4. Except as hereinafter otherwise provided, sick leave allowance shall accrue to an Employee while the Employee is on leave with pay. No sick leave allowance shall accrue:
a. During the period of any vacation leave or sick leave granted when the employment terminates or is to terminate at the end of such leave;
b. During the period the Employee is on leave without pay except for the period the Employee is on leave for disability and is being paid Workers' Compensation therefor;
c. During any period of valid suspension which is sustained in the event an appeal is made by the Employees;
d. During any period of unauthorized leave; or
e. During any period the Employee is on educational or sabbatical leave.
Earning of Sick Leave. Regular employees shall be entitled to five (5) days of sick leave on January 1st of each year, and a further three days in July of each year. Casual employees shall be entitled to the Illness and Injury provisions of the Employment Standards Act. Regular part-time employees will earn sick leave on a prorated basis. The employee shall advise the Manager or designated person in charge as soon as possible of their inability to report to work because of illness or injury, the nature of the illness or injury, and the probable date of their return to work.
