ELEMENTARY SPECIALIST TEACHERS. Section 16.1 The District will provide teachers on the elementary level in the areas of art, physical education, and vocal music. These teachers are called elementary specialist teachers. If the District provides certified teachers for computers, media, etc., they will also be called specialist teachers.

ELEMENTARY SPECIALIST TEACHERS. Elementary specialist teachers, including but not limited to art, physical education, and music, shall receive the following considerations:
ELEMENTARY SPECIALIST TEACHERS. Elementary specialist teachers, including but not limited to art, physical education, and music, shall receive the following considerations: 1. Teachers (grades 1-6) shall not be assigned class periods of less than thirty (30) minutes in length. 2. All traveling done by specialist between class periods shall count as teaching time. 3. Teachers may develop and recommend their teaching schedules to the building principal, with the final decision to be made by the building principal. 4. Students shall not be assigned to more than two (2) special classes consecutively except in unavoidable situations. 5. Each teacher shall be assigned to a home building for purposes of (a) compensation, (b) Association representation, (c) staff meetings, (d) evaluation. 6. The building principal may require a sign-in/sign-out sheet for all teachers, but the time of arrival or departure will not be required.

  • Elementary Teachers Elementary teachers’ day shall be eight-ten a.m. to three forty p.m. (8:10 – 3:40), with a forty (40) minute lunch period. All elementary teachers shall be guaranteed a duty-free uninterrupted lunch period of at least forty (40) minutes. The only exception to this policy shall be when weather conditions are such that the elementary children cannot be sent out of doors. In these cases, the building principal will assign the necessary teachers and other personnel to supervise through the noon period. These assignments shall be on a rotating basis. Elementary teachers K-5 shall normally have a guaranteed break during recess periods. Exceptions to this policy shall be when weather/emergency situations are such that the elementary children cannot be sent outdoors. In these cases, the building principal will assign the necessary teachers and other personnel to properly supervise students during these periods on a rotating basis. It is understood and agreed classroom paraprofessionals may be removed by the Administration from their classroom assignment to implement this provision. If qualified paraprofessionals are not available and already in a building to implement this provision, a staff member representative may request a meeting with the principal and Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee to review the matter and discuss possible alternative solutions.

  • Specialist A dentist who focuses on a specific area of dentistry, including oral surgery, endodontia, periodontia, orthodontia and pediatric dentistry, or a group of patients to diagnose, manage, prevent or treat certain types of symptoms and conditions.   • Specialists Persons working within a juridical person who possess uncommon knowledge essential to the commercial presence’s production, research equipment, techniques or management. In assessing such knowledge, account will be taken not only of knowledge specific to the commercial presence, but also of whether the person has a high level of qualification referring to a type of work or trade requiring specific technical knowledge, including membership of an accredited profession.

  • Paraeducators A Paraeducator who has successfully completed a probationary period of ninety (90) calendar days. The term Paraeducators shall include all Paraeducators as defined in Appendix B.
