HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME COMPENSATION. 6.01. The Employer shall establish a regular schedule of hours for each employee. Work schedules may be changed and overtime shall be required at the Employer's discretion. When a job opening occurs on the day shift, employees of the same craft working on the night shift will have the first opportunity to fill the opening. If two or more employees want the position, the employee with the most seniority shall be given preference.

HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME COMPENSATION. 6.01 All employees under the jurisdiction of Building Services, shall work a regular forty (40) hour week excluding Sundays, as per a posted schedule for each classification of employee. Such schedule shall be no more than five (5) consecutive days on either a Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday basis and shall be exclusive of building checks and emergencies beyond Employer's control. Such regular schedule shall be established at least one (1) week in advance. Employees scheduled to start work before 10:00 A.M. daily shall have a thirty (30) minute noon lunch break for which they shall not be paid. Full-time employees scheduled to work at 10:00 A.M. or thereafter daily shall have a twenty (20) minute mid-shift lunch break which shall be part of their scheduled eight (8) hour shift and for which they shall be paid and during which time they shall be required to remain on the premises. Full-time maintenance workers in the high schools who are scheduled to work before 10:00 A.M. on Saturdays shall have a 20-minute mid-shift lunch break which shall be part of their scheduled eight (8) hour shift and for which they shall be paid and during which time they shall be required to remain on the premises.   • HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME 12.01 The following paragraphs and sections are intended to define the normal hours of work and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week, or of days of work per week.

  • WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME Section 1. The normal work week will consist of forty (40) hours. Department management will establish the work week and hours of work best suited to meet the needs of the Department and provide superior service to the community. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or limitation of the number of hours to be worked per week.

  • 00 - HOURS OF WORK 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a normal day of work.   • HOURS OF WORK i) Where employees are now working a longer daily tour, the provisions set out in this Article governing the regular hours of work on a daily tour shall be adjusted accordingly.

  • Overtime Compensation (a) Overtime worked shall be compensated at the following rates:

  • Normal Hours of Work 6.01 The normal work day is defined as the twenty-four (24) hour period beginning at 12:00 Midnight.

  • Standard Hours of Work 4.2.1 The standard hours of work shall be defined as regularly scheduled twenty-four (24) hours per week or less averaged over each bi-weekly pay period.

  • ARTICLE HOURS OF WORK The following provision designating regular hours on a daily tour and regular daily tours over the nursing schedule determined by the Hospital shall not be construed to be a guarantee of the hours of work to be performed on each tour or during each tour schedule. Subject to Article below:

  • Ordinary Hours of Work The ordinary hours of work will be worked any time between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Ordinary hours of work may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority of the employees concerned and the ETU State Secretary (via the relevant full time ETU Official) to accommodate the hours or work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer and the requirements of its client. Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail. Proper health monitoring procedures will be introduced and suitable rosters clearly agreed prior to commencing work. Adequate supervision must always be provided.
