LICENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS. 15.1 At all times, Employees are required to maintain a valid driver's licence, appropriate safety card and any other licences or qualifications which may include national police clearance, that they are required to hold in order to perform their duties at their own cost. 15.2 The Employer may ask for, and the Employees agree to provide, proof of such licences, qualifications or cards at any time. 15.3 Where any of an Employee's required licences, qualifications, clearances or cards are suspended, cancelled, revoked, or are otherwise invalidated, the Employee is required to inform the Employer immediately, and may face termination of employment where it adversely affects the Employees ability to perform the inherent requirements of his/her job.

LICENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS. 44.1 It is each Employee's responsibility to obtain and maintain all licenses and qualifying certificates that entitle him or her to legally practice his or her profession with the Employer. 44.2 Should an Employee lose any such qualification or license to carry out any part of his or her designated duties, the Employer has the right to review the Employee's employment with the Employer. 44.3 The Employer will reimburse the cost of a practicing certificate as it comes due upon provision of the original invoice for registered nurses and enrolled nurses employed to work as such by the Employer and thus required to hold practicing certificates. 44.4 Casual employees are not entitled to reimbursement of a practicing certificate.

Where a nurse or midwife is required by law to hold an annual practicing certificate, the full cost of the certificate shall be met by the employer, a part-time employee shall be reimbursed on a pro- rata basis. 12.2 Where applicable, an employee is expected at all times to act in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Nursing Council or other regulatory body representing New Zealand nurses in general. 12.3 Should an employee lose any such qualification or license to carry out any part of his/her designated duties, the employer has the right to review his/her employment with the Trust. The employee must immediately advise the General/Nurse Manager of any alteration to or loss of any such qualification or license.

The amount reimbursed will be no greater than the fee schedule specified on the website of the governing body. The Employer will not reimburse the cost of lost licenses. 7.6.3 If an employee loses their licence, their licence is not current, or is disqualified for a period of time, they must inform their supervisor or manager as soon as possible, and before they perform tasks where the licence is required.

Relevant daily pay* Means the amount the employee would have received if they had worked on that day including overtime Average daily pay Is calculated by dividing Employees gross earnings for 52 calendar weeks Number of days (whole or part) paid during this period Night shift Means a duty or shift commencing at or after 9 p.m. and concluding at or before 8 a.m. on the following day.
